TV Enhancing Chair Speaker

Due to the pandemic, I felt that it was too dangerous for my rather deaf mother to remain in assisted living. So, I moved to a small apartment in my mother's small town. That very small apartment became unbearably small when my mother began to blast television during all of her waking hours. I researched a number of options and found this Kare TV Chairspeaker. The product appeared to have a number of features that the other options didn't, but the most important for me was the ability to silence the TV speakers and use only the Chairspeaker. I had some difficulty with the cables since my mother's TV is an older model. The Kare customer service representative was thorough and patient (thank you, Brad!) and after trying a few different cable options, we had the Chairspeakers working perfectly. This is a wonderful product. The speakers do everything that was promised, plus, my mother hears dialogue much more clearly than she did with the TV speakers alone or the previous headset. She definitely enjoys TV more than she did and I am no longer spending my days in a miserably loud tiny apartment!

i bought this ahead of christmas as a gift for my heard-of-hearing mother, who needs something to make dialogue more clear but not necessarily louder. i'm tech-challenged but got it hooked up very easily. not much to do. i triple-checked my installation but couldn't get sound to come out of the speakers. so i called the number provided in the manual for help. this guy was by far the most knowledgeable and patient tech support person i believe i've ever spoken with. very easy-going, not rushing, and went the extra mile of downloading the tv's manual to see what connections were on it so he could help me make the speakers work. although i followed directions, i plugged the transmitter into the correct terminal but i did so on the cable box. i should have connected it to the tv's terminal. and then i got to properly test the item to be sure it would do what my mother needed. and it works great! so i packed it all back in the box and wrapped it for dec. 25. i really can't say enough about the tech support. this guy walked me patiently and politely through the steps of making a couple changes in the tv's settings. super easy. he never talked over my head or made me feel stupid or anxious. what a great experience. and a great product!!

My dad is extremely hard of hearing. Came across this product and it had good reviews so I decided to order it and give it a whirl because my mom and I couldn't take the TV blaring anymore. This product has solved all our issues! My mom can peacefully sleep without hearing the TV blaring in the living room. It is a miracle device. Highly recommend! Worth the money.

There has been a Volume War in my house since I moved my over 80 parents in 2 years ago. The Chair Speaker has ended the war. Dad only had to step away from his TV for 20 minutes while I set this up. Now he can hear his TV while I can read in peace or watch my own TV with out blasting the volume to wash out the sound of his. Mom called it an "Ingenious Tool". Everyone's happy.

Bought this for my father and he's now watching tv and enjoying movies for the first time in years. I prefer this to a sound bar because the speakers amplify the voices more which is what he needs to hear, not the background noise and bass.

I bought this for my 95 yr old mother who wears hearing aids. She used to need to turn the TV up so loud that it would distort the sound. We didn't want to have headphones because we were worried about the feedback tone it might cause with her hearing aids and also give her a headache and cause a feeling of isolation. With these chair speakers, she doesn't get feedback from her hearing aids. The tv is now muted and yet she can hear every word perfectly clear. You can barely hear these speakers on. This has changed her life. We can still talk to her and she can hear us talking to her while the speakers are on. We used the opti cables. These are great.

This has been a blessing for me and my mother. Mom is 96 and while she can hear a muffled conversation from two rooms away ... she could not hear the TV clearly from 5 feet away without it being so loud I feared for my own hearing being damaged! The set up on these chair speakers was very easy and instructions so clear even a tech challenged person can handle it. Now mom can hear the TV loud and clear (headphones hurt her ears) and actually laughs at the funny parts of programs she loves. Before she was trying to read closed captioning but it went too fast for her to grasp the captions. And the best part? I can mute the program so I can work without the TV blasting in my ears while she can hear it t a volume just right for her. A win-win for this household!
