The Fluorescent Light Globe produces a dazzling and hypnotic spectacle, right in your home. Just add water and the included fluorescent gel and turn on the blacklight base.• A unique home décor item
• Based on the principles of fluorescence (short wavelengths are absorbed and longer wavelengths are emitted)
• Add water and FluoroGel (included) to the glass orb
• As the gel reacts with the UV light, it produces a fluorescent light show
• Includes 6” glass orb with silicone stopper and flat bottom
• Includes 4” ultraviolet (UV) light base (a.k.a. "blacklight")
• Includes 2 tubes of FluoroGel mixture (1 red, 1 green)
• Does not contain living creatures
• Requires 3 AA batteries

I got this item because it is very unique and interesting to observe. I have it in my living room. when friends stop by they are fascinated by it. They ask where I got it. I told them Sharper Image.

Item is a one time observation, you must empty and start all over again. Not explained when purchased…!!!!!

I had high hopes. Very disappointed
This is over priced. The FluoroGel last about an hour before it dissolves. Then you will need to clean the glass orb. Too much work for little enjoyment. Get a lava lamp instead! Runs for years.
