Comfortable and effective
I have tried several others in the past. These are by far the best I have. They are softer than others. They provide the right compression but are not uncomfortably tight. I find them much easier and comfortable to put on than all others I have tried. I used to have to really "fight and struggle" to get them on. There is no irritation to my skin. I love them. I purchased two more pair!

Thumbs up from my husband!
My husband didn't realize that they were compression socks. They look like any other pair of socks. He told me that the best thing about it is that it is much easier to put on than the average compression socks. And they feel great!!!

relatively comfortable compression
I have traditional knee-high stocking type compression socks that I think are the same level of compression. I bought the ones from SI because I find the traditional material irritates my skin slightly and I wanted a slightly thicker sock for warmth. I also don't like the white stockings- they always look dirty even after washing. So far this pair material is more comfortable than the traditional compression stockings, although not quite as comfortable as a pair I have that are nearly identical to thick athletic socks. However the ones similar to athletic socks are very low compression so are not always enough for days when I need more circulation help. Part of me wishes the socks were thicker for warmth, but these are a good thickness if you plan on wearing shoes over them. I usually only wear compression socks at night so having a thicker sock can help. I also wish the socks sat slightly closer to my knee when pulled up. I have large calves so this might be the reason why it feels low. Other: I kind of wanted the brown to differentiate mine from ones I bought for my father, but the brown was out of stock. However, I think the black ones would stand out less, and the slight patterning on the socks keeps them from being completely boring.
