One month later
I have been using this humidifier for over a month now in my children's bedrooms. I bought one for each of them. They are ran every night for about 11-12hrs on low; the rooms are both 10x12; I find low to be the perfect setting if the doors are closed. If one of the kids wants the door open I turn it to medium and it still works well in the room. We live in Arizona and its starting to hit 100 degrees pretty consistently and compared to last year when I had nothing I have noticed a huge improvement in their sleep quality and skin moisture level. The only odd thing about them is one is leaving white dust in the room and the other one does not. I use regular tap water in both of them and also use the demineralization cartridges provided in both as well. I have air purifiers in my children's rooms as well and I am guessing the better model is what prevents the white dust. I have an idylis air purifier in the non white dust room and a much smaller and cheaper black and decker air purifier in the white dust room. I believe this makes the difference, I switched the humidifiers a few times and noticed the room with the idylis air purifier had no white dust. So if you have hard water like my home does then either distilled water or a very good air purifier should take care of the problem.

Good product- small price
Bought 3 for my kids rooms. It's very easy to set up. I wish the water container had the handle on top versus side and I wish it had at least one flat side to sit in sink better. I ran these on medium in my kids rooms and it lasted about 24hrs. It does take a few hours to notice a difference in the air and its best to have the door shut or even partially closed. The temperature of the cool mist is not very cool at all it's more Luke warm so there was not a huge temperature difference in the rooms and the rest of the house. It's a good little machine, easy controls and small enough I could place it on the bedside table and still have room. Even at medium for 24hrs nothing was wet around it, and there was no white dust; I did use the demineralization cartridge that was provided. I listened to the sounds and did not like the lullaby feature, the tone they are played in sounds like a cell phone ring tone- not the most soothing. It would be nice if it played the sounds longer than 30mins on the timer. The sound of the motor running is not overly loud. None of my kids were bothered by it. Overall I'm very happy.
