Solid and cost effective
I can't use the solar panels and don't really see their use. The product charges from 110 v ac in the house, and that is sufficient. I place this product in the basement and run electrical extensions through the basement ceiling to various points on the first floor.

Well Engineered but Heavy and Expensive
I can lift this up by myself, and it comes with well-designed trolley wheels. But it is too heavy to move up and down steps except for a strong person with a good back. I will put a couple in the basement and feed electrical wires to the first floor of my house.

The Good, The Bad, But NOT So Ugly
THE GOOD: -Compact, Easy Controls, Attractive Design -Large Microwave Sized -Simple Display -Simple Setup -Decent Battery Life for small appliances (microwave oven, toaster, small grills, computer, cell phones, etc.) *Manufacturer states that it can power a refrigerator for 2 days. I have not tried this, but I suspect that you cannot attach it along with other devices as it may exceed the voltage count. THE BAD: -Heavy, HeAvY, HEAVY!!! The delivery guy even suggested I bring out a hand truck or a dolly just to move the generator around the house. I do not own one, but luckily for me, I have tiled floors and could just slide the box around. If you have carpeting, attach the wheel and handle assembly to the generator as soon as possible to avoid straining yourself lugging it into the next room. **WARNING** IF YOU ARE NOT A PERSON THAT EXERCISES AND DOES EXTENSIVE WEIGHT TRAINING, DO NOT BELIEVE THE PICTURE OF THE GENERATOR SITTING ON THE COUNTER NEXT TO THE REFRIGERATOR! YOU WILL HURT YOURSELF!!! If you DO NOT heed my warning: Good Luck With Your Back AND Watch Your Toes! THE NOT SO UGLY: So the generator came with a wheel and handle assembly, great! What's not so great is that handle is NOT the collapsing type. It's not a huge gripe, but for the price of the generator and a pair of solar panels, this little luxury would have been a nice touch. It's already unwieldy as a hand truck and just as difficult to store neatly. It's like having a luxury car with all the bells and whistles possible, but no power seat adjustment.
