Very cute!
The salt one seems to work better with regular salt and not sea salt. Sometimes I have to bang it with the force of the palm of my hand, to get the salt to come out, but after doing it once, it's fine after that. It's a unique product and easy to pass around the dinner table. My company likes it and asks me where I got it.

This product will look great on a glass table top. The table top is round and small. It has a very elegant look for it being salt and pepper shakers.

I contacted customer service but received no feedback--at first Although it was longer than I expected for a response, customer service did contact me and is sending a new product to me. Our son and his mate live about 2,000 miles away and received this salt and pepper grinder set as a gift. The mate loves gadgets, and we could not resist getting this "gadget" for him. He tried it immediately on Christmas Day and loved it. We have no idea at this time about battery lift and durability, but I think we found a gift from which they will get quite a bit of enjoyment. At the very least it will be a conversation piece.
