How do I ship to another person? (top)

Sending products or gifts to others is easy.

If you are registered:
If you have already registered at sharperimage.com, the Account Info area has your "Address Book & Important Dates," You may enter names and addresses into your address book directly and save them so they are always available. If you are signed-in, you also may add names and addresses during checkout and they will be automatically stored in your address book for future use.

From the shopping bag, use the pull-down menu titled "Ship To." If you have signed in, this list will show all the names in your Address Book. Select the name you want then click "Update Basket" to select this ship-to address.

If you want to ship to someone not currently in your Address Book; you should sign in (so the name will be saved to your account) then go to the "Ship To" pull-down and select the bottom entry that reads "-- New Nickname --". Selecting "-- New Nickname --" will take you to a page where you can enter just the new name or nickname then click "submit" to save it. When you return to the shopping basket the new name will appear on your list and you can use the "Ship To" pull-down to select this new name. During checkout, you will enter the entire shipping address, which will then be saved to your Address Book for future use.

If you are not registered:
If you are not registered, names and addresses you enter as ship-tos are not remembered for return visits; they only last as long as your current shopping session. If you would like to save names for future use, you may register — then shipping information is remembered with your account information (see above). Click here to register now. If you are not registered, assign shipping information from within the shopping basket by using the pull-down menu titled "Ship To." If you want to add a name to the pull-down, select the bottom entry that reads "-- New Nickname --". Selecting "-- New Nickname --" will take you to a page where you can enter a name or nickname (which is how we identify the ship-to person). After you enter a name or nickname, click "submit" to save it. You can repeat this process as many times as you like to add multiple names to your list. When you return to the shopping basket you will see the new name(s) appear on the "Ship To" pull-down. Simply select the name you want and click "Update Basket" to assign this ship-to address. During checkout you will be asked to enter the entire address for each nickname. Remember, these names and addresses will not be stored for future shopping visits. For an additional $14.95, we offer 2nd-Day Express for most orders. For urgent delivery of in-stock items you may opt for Next-Day Air or Saturday Delivery.

How do I upgrade shipping? (top)

Nearly all of our packages are shipped specifying 3 to 7 business-day delivery; some orders may take up to 10 days. Please note that a few large, heavy or factory-direct items are shipped by truck and will incur additional charges. Some items may only be available for delivery through "In-Home Delivery" and/or "Royal Service," in which case these selections will be the only options shown. Please note that if your order includes items shipping via "In-Home Delivery" and/or "Royal Service" to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada or other territories, you will incur additional charges. What is "In-Home Delivery"? (top)

Select large and heavy items are delivered by our "In-Home" delivery service, as indicated in our item description. "In-Home" delivery is a great value at $99.95. This service includes:
  • Delivery by appointment, usually in a 4-hour window.
  • A professional local delivery service will contact you to schedule a convenient appointment.
  • Your purchase will be placed inside the first doorway of your first floor.
  • You will be responsible for product placement and removal of packing material.
Please allow 7 to 15 business days for your item to reach the local delivery company. Some special services or circumstances may incur additional charges, such as weekend or evening delivery, excess stairs or other unusual requirements. The "In-Home Service" delivery rate of $99.95 is available only in the lower 48 states. Delivery of massage chairs and other large items outside the lower 48 states are subject to additional shipping charges and order processing time. Please note that if your order is placed for delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada or other territories, you will incur additional charges. What is "Royal Service" Delivery? (top)

Select large and heavy items are delivered by our "Royal Service" delivery as indicated in our item description. "Royal Service" is also available as an optional upgrade for many items. Royal Service is a tremendous convenience and costs only $149.95. When checking out, please select "Royal Service" from the drop-down menu under the shopping basket's "SHIPPING METHOD" column. "Royal Service" includes by-appointment, residential delivery, in-home setup, removal of packing materials and more. Here are the details:
  • Please allow 7 to 15 business days for your item to reach your local delivery company.
  • The delivery company will call you to schedule delivery, usually within a 4- or 8-hour window (depending on area) on a day that you select.
  • The delivery company will bring the item inside, place it where you want it in the room you've chosen; they'll unpack it and ready it for use. If you like, they will clean up and remove all the packing materials.
Please allow 7 to 15 business days for your item to reach the local delivery company. How are orders shipped to Canada? (top)

Most orders shipping to Canada are sent via DHL. Delivery for most non-trucked items takes from 7 to 10 business days depending upon the destination. Some orders may take additional time due to the destination or delays in customs. Please note that a few large, heavy or factory-direct items will be shipped by truck incurring additional charges. Some items may only be available for delivery through "In-Home Delivery" in which case these selections will be the only options shown. Duty and taxes are payable on most items imported into Canada. Applicable duties and taxes are not calculated or charged during checkout. The Broker selected by TSI will determine the applicable duties and taxes upon importation into Canada.

By ordering goods from The Sharper Image. I hereby authorize a licensed Canadian customs broker chosen by The Sharper Image to act as my agent, and to transact business with Canada Border Services Agency (GBSA) to clear my merchandise, account for applicable duties and taxes. The amount of duty and tax owed on the shipment will be invoiced to the recipient by the Broker via their invoice. The recipient will be responsible for paying all applicable duties, taxes and customs clearance fees invoiced.

If the order is shipping to Newfoundland/Labrador, Nova Scotia or New Brunswick, the recipient will pay the harmonized sales tax (HST) instead of the GST.

If the order is shipping to British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario or Quebec, the recipient will also pay provincial sales tax. Taxes, duties and handling must be paid prior to delivery (cash, certified cheque, VISA®, MasterCard®).

How do I return items from a Canadian order? (top)

Simply return the item to us within 60 days to:

Note: We are not able to handle walk-in returns from customers at this address.

We ask that returned products be in like-new condition with original packaging and materials. Select branded electronics have a 14-day return privilege. These products must be returned unopened within 14 days with shrink wrap/packaging fully intact in order to receive a full refund. If the product is returned open (even if it hasn't been used), a 10% restocking fee will apply. No returns will be accepted if parts are missing.

Credits will be issued when the returned merchandise has been received and processed in the U.S. Please allow approximately 7 to 15 business days. To request a refund of duty and taxes, complete the back of Form E-14, Canadian Customs Postal Import Form, and send it to the nearest Canadian Casual Refund Centres (listed on the back of the form). When you ask for a refund, you must show proof that you returned the goods. Please note that brokerage handling fees will not be refunded. The B2G form can be obtained from the CBSA website or a Canadian Customs office in your area.
