Wind Resistant Umbrella
works great in the rain. the close button is a mus have. also doesnt fold up in the wind as it promises. I had my last one for 6 years and it just died a couple of weeks ago.
Decent umbrella
I like the powerful open/close button that only requires one hand; however, it requires some strength to get the umbrella back to the original compact configurement. Im 5 2 115 lbs, in decent shape, but I have to concentrate on getting the umbrella to close all the way, and it definitely requires use of both arms. Thats the only way to re-open, to get it down to the compact size, or else the automatic open close wont work. Make sure you have enough space when opening it. Ive only used the umbrella a few times so far. Not sure I wouldve paid the same price for it had I tested it out.
A great purchase
A great product; and, so very practical.
not happy
Umbrella would does not open as easily as it should and it blew inside out the first time I used it and it wasnt that windy! I would not recommend this umbrella!
Match my expectation
My friend recommended this umbrella to me. It really match my expectation! I love it. I wish there are more color to choose since I dont normally carry a black umbrella.
Seemed good initially
One first inspection, it looked great. Easy to use and lightweight. However, on my 2nd use, I was getting out of my car and there were 25-30 mph wind gusts. The gust came up under the umbrella, flipped it inside out and broke it. I of course got wet. I returned it and am awaiting a replacement. Maybe I got a bad item. I had a similar item from Sharper Image that lasted 10 years before the opening mechanism quit working. Hoping my replacement will last that long.
"Perfect for Florida weather"
This is my second umbrella.with these controls. I dont know where I got the first one, but it finally died during a rain storm. I have seen others but they do not both open and close with a button. This was exactly what I was looking for. I can be carrying packages and still manage to easily put up or let down the umbrella.

Umbrella is great. Had a friend who borrowed mine and never returned it so it had to be replaced.
Quite a surprise
I was quite surprised Sunday when the wind turned my umbrella wrong side out. This is the third or fourth of this same umbrella that I have owned and this is the very first time this has happened.
The close button on this and one other is very strong and difficult to close.
Wind Resistant Umbrella
Tired of cheaper-made umbrellas breaking and turning inside out in wind gusts, I am trying the Sharper Image Wind Resistant Umbrella. I havent had opportunity yet to test it in high winds, but it is sturdier than normal umbrellas, so I expect it to perform as described.

Opened for the first time at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland during a wind and rain storm off the Atlantic Ocean. My umbrella stayed in shape, while all around me were turned inside out. It was light enough to carry during my entire trip and worked every time.
Probably a good umbrella
NYC is very windy. Despite its clever engineering, the umbrella turned inside out the minute I took it out in windy, rainy weather. I suppose the good thing is that it didnt break. Its only had one outing so far.

I bought this as a gift for my brother in law. Seems like a very good umbrella. He lives in Germany and needed a very durable one. So this is what I choose.
Great umbrella, get one!
Since local Sharper Image stores (sadly) closed in my area, Ive been trying to replace my old favorite Sharper Image umbrella that broke after a few years. Looks like models have been updated, but the new ones seem just as capable, and Im guessing the quality will be better over the longrun. This umbrella seems to be exactly what I was looking for. If I could complain about anything, its that the umbrella doesnt fully close automatically - after you press the button and the umbrella collapses, you still need to push it back in to close it. But thats not a big deal. My main concern is that it is strong, durable, and lasting quality - which only time can tell - but my initial impressions are very good.
Meets our windy needs!
Every day I have to walk over a bridge that is very windy. Ive broken many umbrellas, but this one just does not break! Very durable.
Wind Resistant Umbrella
I was glad to see that this product was the "ShedRain" brand. I all ready have one that I bought independently of Sharper Image that Ive been very happy with. This bigger model has gotten limited use since purchase but it seems every bit as durable as the smaller one I all ready own. The real test will be with some serious wind which hasnt happened yet.
This umbrella is a keeper.
Its an umbrella and I use it for rainy days. Its durable; can take the windy days; not to heavy; its compact and therefore easy to store. Good product.
