Alerts and radio OK loud
The sound quality is OK at normal to loud volume, but is terrible at low volume. I use the radio next to the bed, and want to keep the volume down, especially at bedtime. This is not the radio for you if you have a similar purpose in mind.

Modern looking, large numbers on clock
This clock radio is also an "emergency alert" radio. I live in a rural area so I like the idea of having the alert tones if there is a weather emergency. The numbers on the clock are large and bright making them easy to see during the night when I wake up. Have only had it about a month, so dont know about bettery life.

Use it primarily as an alarm clock but it will be very useful as a warning during the night for bad weather.
