Amazing little cartridge
These cartridges make maintenance on a humidifier almost nonexistent. No flakes. No film. I havent had to clean the unit yet after more than 6 weeks. It looks brand new. All you do is drop the cartridge in. Couldnt be easier.

dissapointed is just a start
this product was recommeded by sharper image for the ultrasonic humidifier that I purchased. after using the one that came with the original product, i found that it was ineffective when using so i ordered extra ones thinking that using 2 instead of 1 in the water as suggested in your directions would correct the white dust problem i was having. to my dismay, it did not correct the problem and i have had to resort to distilled water in my humidifier in order to use it. incidently, i have chicago water which is not hard water by definition. definitely would not buy this humidifier again as the cartridges are of no use to it.
Ultrasonic Humidifier
We use this in the bedroom because my husband suffers from asthma and COPD. It makes a difference in his breathing. Also, good for dry eye syndrome, dry skin, and dry throat.
Depends on the hardness of your water
Works great unless you have a lot of minerals in your water supply.

this product controls dust and mineralization from my Sharper Image Humidifier...these cartridges are easier to use and dispose of after use than in any other humidifier design

Ultrasonic Demineralization Cartridge
I use supplemental oxygen which dries out nasal passages so use a humdifier at home 24/7. Have experienced the white dust everywhere with other humidifiers but using the cartridges I have seen none at all. Ive been using them for nearly a year now and change them as suggested by Sharper Image. They are very easy to use--just drop them in the water tank. I do use filtered water so cant say how they would work in tap water. Hmmmm, maybe I should try that just to see.

The demineralization Cartridge is so easy to use. I put two in my humidifier and one in each gallon of my distilled water.
Great product and service
The humidifier is a great product! I have it on every night while I sleep as it helps with allergies. I feel great when I get up in the morning!
Calcium Eliminator
The Sharper Image Demineralization cartridge used in their Humidifer totally eliminates all calcium deposits in the heated chamber area. I used to have to scrape this area with a small pointed knife to remove the calcium deposits which took up to 1-2 hours of work. I had to do this about 2 times per month.

This is a must for me with hard water!
I thought that there was only one cartridge per package, so I purchased 2 for the next fall/winter season. Im very happy that there are 4 cartridges per box. Over time, as the demineralization is used up, a white film covers so many things in the apt. Now, I can change the cartridge every 6 weeks---and not have to worry about the white residue. (Now have enough for the next 2 colder, drier seasons! A happy surprise).
