Review Content Just What I Needed I like the use of a glass pitcher. Can be hand washed. Models with plastic pitcher get permanently stained from tea. I like the fact that tea goes directly into the top of the pitcher. No leaking. Other brands poured the tea through the pitchers spout. Many leaks. A Sweet Summer Refreshment This Ice Tea maker was purchased to replace another named brand maker that was leaking all over the counter. This brewer does not leak! It not only looks sleek it is very functional and easy to use. Both loose leaf and bagged tea can be used in the brewer. The brewing is perfect letting the true flavor of the tea prevail. Our family does not use sugar but we have used a natural substitute in its raw form and it works just fine in this machine. Extremely happy with this purchase and highly recommend it. Great Tea Maker Much better that my previous tea maker. Like the option of loose tea or bagged tea. Have not used the sweetener option yet, so cannot comment on it functionability. Isses so far are the tea bag can still remain dry in certain sections after a full cycle. And, after cycle, when you move the brew unit, tea still remains in the drip basket will pour out. This product is amazing! I have recently kicked the "soda" habit and have started drinking unsweet ice tea. This makes the most tasty tea at a push of a button. I love this product! Awesome Tastes Great Good Maker Problem w/ Sweetener Chamber We are avid tea drinkers and one of us is on a splenda diet while other is still on normal sugar as can not tolerate aftertaste of sweeteners like splenda etc. so I made 2 different batches of tea with this machine.. Pros compact design works well and easy to use Cons the sweetner/sugar chamber holds up to 1 cup of either when you brew tea but with the Splenda which is really fine clogged the drain like it was glue and with sugar it didnt all melt away out of chamber but nowhere as bad as the splenda did, also any sweetener falls thru the holes of chamber and when your ready to pull out the chambers from machine make sure you left pitcher in place as you will have a mess due to the drip area on chambers are not tilted/slanted to toatlly drain tea into pitcher. otherwise does the job but I think i will just set up machine and put sweetener in pitcher and add ice on top or after tea has made Yummy Tea I have already made somewhere in the realm of 20ish pitchers of sweat tea which is my primary use. I have only used bags so far, so I do not know how well the strainer actually works. Pros: This tea maker works well, and it is easy to use. Clean up is also pretty easy if you clean up right after you use it. I left it overnight and I had to scrub some excess sugar off, but if I do it right away it is easy. I do NOT get the feeling it is junky (though the potency knob is a little wonky.) Directions are also easy and helpful. Cons: If using over about 2/3 or 3/4 cup of sugar, the sugar doesnt all make it into the tea. The directions say up to 1 full cup is ok, but this is clearly not the case. summer time I love the way I can just add and the machine does every thing for me. Seperate chamber for sugar, awesome! An option for glass or plastic pitcher is my only complaint. With children, glass is something we dont use often. My life as a mom makes more sense with plastic everything. Love it! Makes great ice tea in 10 min. Quick and Easy Can use any form of tea. Has an area to add sugar or sweetener. Makes tea quickly and holds a good amount.I like the glass carafe, classy, but I have to be careful not to hit it on something.
