Long time Owner
I have owned this product for over 5 to 6 years. It sounds great, I find it hard to sleep without it. Every now and then it will not turn on for some reason, but I just unplug it, count to ten, plug it back in and it is fine. All in all I could not find a better unit.
Almost perfect
Sound is great, and although it took me a while to figure out the controls, now that Ive got it figured out its easy to manage.
Two things disappointed me: First, it claims that continuous sound is one of the options, but its not, it only has 30, 60 and 90 minutes as options. Since my previous sound machine did have continuous sound I was accustomed to sleeping through the night to the sound of the ocean, but that one broke and Im finding that I wake up in the night because the ocean sound has turned off.
The second disappointment is that if the sound option is playing, beeping is the only wake-up option. So I cant be sleeping to ocean waves (after hitting the button again to restart it) and then wake to the radio. I have to wake to beeping. Not nice.
I would recommend it to a friend, but only after making sure of those two factors.
Better Sleep Quality
My sleep quality has greatly improved. I stay asleep and seem to be having the most vivid and lovely dreams! I hope you like bird sounds because most of the 16 sounds have bird calls embedded in them...a bit distracting at first, then you dont hear the birds. The alarm is a real challenge to set; you need a PhD or a 14 year old boy to set it. I would recommend this product.

For all around use, this is the best product of its sort. Ive tried them all--Sharper Images sound machines, after more than 20 years, remains the topoftheline.
love it
as i said, the machine eliminates all but the loudest street and household noises. the sounds are without a doubt, relaxing,allowing for better sleep.the radio reception,not the greatest,but fine.I live in an area of hills and valleys.Like so much, Ill use the coupon for a smaller travel size

Cant say enough about the Sound Oasis Therapy System. I purchased it to mask exterior noise while sleeping and have found the unit to be excellent. Ive used other white noise machines in the past and theres no comparison. This unit is quality with volume control and good speakers. Besides providing white noise, the system can be easily programmed with your choice of pleasant, relaxing background sounds that are realistic (nature) and unique. Compact for travel. Ear phone jack for personal use. This unit has many versatile features. User friendly.
I AM SLOW TO BELIEVE BUT THIS IS HEAVEN
I NOT THE KIND OF PERSON THAT BELIEVES IN A LOT OF CLAIMED NONSENSE, BUT THIS IS HEAVEN. I AM A POLICE OFFICER THAT WORKS TWO WEEKS OF DAY SHIFTS AND TWO WEEKS OF NIGHTS AND HAVE DONE THIS FOR TEN YEARS. IT IS NEVER EASY TO GET MY SLEEP CYCLE BACK SO I SEEMED LIKE I WAS ALWAYS TIRED. THIS SIMPLE LITTLE RADIO/ALARM CLOCK/AND SOUND HEAVEN MAKES SLEEPING GREAT AGAIN. I USED TO TAKE THIRTY MINUTES TO FALL ASLEEP BUT NOW IT MUST ONLY BE FIVE TO TEN MINUTES, I TURN IT ON AND THEN ITS MOURNING. IF YOU DONT PURCHASE THIS YOU ARE TRULY MISSING OUT ON A LITTLE PEACE OF HEAVEN. THE SOUNDS ARE CLEAR AND THERE IS NO SHORT CYCLE SOUNDS ON THIS CLOCK. I WOULD GIVE IT A TEN IF I COULD, Great great great !!!!!!!!!!!
Problem for light sleeper
This was attractive to me because of the rhythm that supposed promote brain waves which lead to deep sleep. Every channel had this annoying seagull sound which I had to drown out with a 2nd white noise machine (also trickily sound with ocean). I would have kept doing it, but the machine stopped working and had to be returned. Birds sounds are associated with waking up to me, so now Im looking for a plain wave sound machine.

Great Machine
I shopped, looked at reviews and listened to different machines before I bought this as a gift for my husband who is a light sleeper and wakes many times throughout the night. He has used it every night and told me how much he "loved" his new present. He uses the thunderstorm sound and sleeps great!
Restful nights
I live in the city so it is great for blocking out traffic noises and the sound selection allows you to go to sleep with the sound that suits you. Also enogh to change it up when you want to.
"Definitely worth the money"
The Sound Oasis System is for the money the best system. I live in an area with high traffic volume and this system is the only system that blocked the external noise. After trying multiple other units this is without a doubt the best. It has everything to do with the quality of the technology and the superior speaker system, which will fill any size room with just about any sound you can dream up. Sleep with it one night and you will find your Oasis.
Great to sleep by
I take it on all trips and when we were on a 5 day hike, I took the portable. Great items. Would recommend them highly.......
Something I needed for a long time.
Its great. I dont have to use my fan anymore to help me sleep.
Sleep Soundly
My husband and I suffer from tinnitus. It makes it difficult for us to sleep with the ringing in our ears. This product has almost illiminated the difficulty we have falling asleep. The sounds are relaxing and calming. We sleep more sound. We also love that there are so many sounds and we can set them to play for as long as we want with automatic shutoff. GREAT product!
Very effective system
Very useful at drawing your attention away from a noisy road. The ocean sounds are very relaxing. The system has a cool feature where you can combine sounds if none of the precanned ones are exactly what you want.
I would buy this product again
I work at a healthcare facility, and we need to have confidential conversations, this sound system, is perfect!
Seems to work as advertised
Become familiar with the reset option. Seems to occur often if you unplug the unit from the wall.
Great sound machine
Too hard to read the silver on silver controls. Needed to use a flashlight--in the day. Backlight not bright enough. Difficult to see the time. Wish the sound machine was smaller and easier to transport.
