Review Content so small yet so BIG I just purchased my portable speaker system an it is fantastic.its small yet the sound quality is great. i had 3 things i was looking for--portability, alarm, and sleep timer--and this product covers all of these and more. the size is great for taking in the car, to a picnic, or anywhere you have little room. plus its easy to use. from setting the clock to using the alarms to using the sleep or nap timer its very user friendly. i would recommend this product to anyone from teens to the baby boomers. Not bad for such a small unit!! Decent sound and adequate features. This will be great to travel with!!! Works with and charges my iPhone 3Gs just fine!! Sharper Image quality? I recieved this unit as a gift for Christmas. It has decent sound, and it does pack well for travel. Unfortunately, It has never functioned on purely battery power. Im not sure what the batteries are supposed to do, as they dont maintain time, alarms, or even power the unit when the power supply is unplugged. The power supply also failed after only two months, apparently by the simple act of unplugging it from the wall. ipod dock I purchased this to use at work and for travel. I am generally pleased with the quality and convenience. The sound quality is good for a portable. I have two disappointments. It does not charge my ipod when I am using it with the AC adaptor and volume control is not good. There is a very wide range between volumn setting 1 and 2 and it is difficult to set a low volume level. Bad Product I bought with the excitement that I could use it at work. However, after using it for 2 hours in the morning the sound was fine but it was not charging. So my phone was at 40% by noon just by sitting there not even being used.. I Phone Dock Great I Pod dock AMAZING!!! I take my portable speakers with me everywhere, from the shower to swimming in the pool outside. The volume can get loud enough for me to have a party and still hear it. Overall Im more than satisfied. Not so great Im thinking of returning this for another, as there are several problems with my speaker dock. It works great when plugged in, except that the on/off button doesnt seem to work. When I put batteries in it, but unit wont work all the time. Then when it does, I cant turn it off so that the batteries run down in a few hours. So the only way to turn it off is to remove the batteries! I dont know if another unit will work better or not. When its plugged in, its wonderful. A Must for your IPOD Have found a MILLION uses for this. It has great sound for its size, goes easily everywhere and does very well on battery life. Dont know how my family lived without it! A definite must have for anyone with an IPHONE or IPOD who wants to enjoy their music and needs something compact and VERY portable. I throw mine in my handbag, my husband and children put theirs in their backpack. You know we must love this product if we bought four of them! Ipod deck kids and adults love this and sounds great Very handy and portable unit! This unit was purchased primarily for travel. Its built for easy portability, and will provide an alarm clock and a music player for your favorite tunes while away from home. Sound quality is fairly good, considering the price value. JUNK I got this product for Christmas and for [$], it is not even funny how absurdly over priced this thing is. Please do yourself a favor and drop and extra ten or twenty bucks and go pick up and iHome. I have used both and the functionality, sound quality, and simplicity of the iHome is so much better than this product that I returned this and got myself an iHome. Nice Size, Poor Sound This speaker system replaced my other Sharper Image speaker system (the speakers went out on my old one after 6 months). The size is compact and it has a nice travel case. The buttons were easy to figure out. New out of the box, the speakers have a consistent buzzing sound, regardless if I am using my iPod or not. Its very annoying, especially when Im trying to listen to music.
