Review Content Not so great I had the older version of this prior to Sharper Image going out of business for a while and it worked great. Unfortunately it was lost in a move so I was looking to replace and was thrilled when I stumbled upon this one thinking it was an even better version of what I had. This wasnt the case. It is terrible at cutting and thats what it is supposed to be good at. I used to put a lot of trust in Sharper Image products, but now Im not so sure that theyre well thought out and designed products anymore. Much better than sissors So easy to handle and great for travel. Disappointed I still have some aging trimmer from the old SI. The blades are almost gone but work better that thge new one I remain puzzled, however, as conceivably it could be working but there is absolutely zero noice to indicate trimming of the hair. Vastly Underpowered-Avoid this porduct! The nose and ear trimmer is a extremely poorly made product. The motor is underpowered and consequently and consequently NO trimming occurs. bad........ Really a poor product! Doesnt trim at all... Waste of money!! Get rid of the unsightly nose hair This is a great kit trims the ear hair and nose hair well and comes in a nice travel kit. Not Happy I have an older model Sharper Image trimmer that actually does the job. The motor in my older one is getting a little weak but it still does a better job than this newer model just I bought. I do like the light and mirror in the newer model but overall its a waste of money Nose hair trimmer Seems powerful enough & trims effectively, which is all I ask. Bells & whistles not necessary. Product Effectiveness The Nose Trimmer came in a very nice fabric zippered pouch with a number of accessories similar to a manicure kit. Although I really wanted the clipper only, the others were a surprize. However, the clipper did not perform satisfactorilly. A Dud! I must have got a dud! It didnt do a thing. I will be returning it. it was great!! IT WAS GREAT! COULDNT GET BETTER! IT IS A LITTLE FLIMSY THOUGH. Nicely put together with accessories I havent had it that long, but so far, its better than the previous ones that I actually had to throw away.... Its well presented and works great! Not pleased at all after receiving the Deluxe Nose and Ear trimmer, we were totally disappointed with the product. We had 7years ago purchased one from Sahrper Image and it was wonderful. This one does nothing, and the light is at the other end of the blade, so you cannot see what you are doing without stopping and turning the trimmer upside down. Nose trimmer The product does not seem to be cutting, but it does cut nose hairs, and the vacuum feature is alos nice. Although it does trin the nose hairs, another product I have been using gets the hairs the Sharper Image misses or is not capable of trimming.. Better Nose Job This new & improved tool works like a champ, except that the thickness of the nose piece prevents it from getting as close as it should. So I still have to use clippers to look really neat. When I hooked up the edge trimmer, and used that instead, inside the nose, it worked better than the nose piece. Instructions dont tell you about this trick, but it does work and does a better job around the carilege, but for reasons of safety, dont stick the trimmer attachment all the way into your nose. FINALLY! A GREAT WORKING TRIMMER! After wasting so much money on trimmers that fail - THIS IS A GREAT WORKING PRODUCT!! Very happy with my purchase!! Terrible Product I am returning this device for a refund. It is horribly constructed. The RPM produced by the motor is TOO LOW to cut hair. The scissors, tweezers, and accessory are made of cheap materials. Great product I love the product--I especially like the vacuum. Still Hairy Bought the trimmer for my husband, turned it on one time, the thing was worthless, doesnt work. Do not waste your money on this product. nose trimmer The nose hair trimmer works beautifully. Doesnt hurt the skin and is so easy to use. Its a painless way to remove unsightly nose hari. To this day I cannot for the life of me understand why every man and woman dont own one. Who wants to see nose hair? Its like walking out of your house every morning with your fly unzipped. Cant be beat! Im at the age where hair seems to appear and grow better on my ears and in my nose than what little hair I have on my head. I have tried other products of similar ilk, but this hair trimmer is by far the best. It not only works well, but it is easy to clean. I think that the carrying case with supplies is a nice finishing touch. It is easy to store in a drawer without being "lost" among other items. It is easy for travelling purposes because the storage bag so conveniently fits about anywhere in a suitcase. Quiet, but ineffective Although the trimmer is quiet, it doesnt cut ear or nose hair. I had to put on the optional exposed blade in order to get any cutting at all. Not Happy The nose trimmer doesnt trim the nose hair. Nose & Ear Trimmer The overall performance was good but I missed the light facing the cutter like the previous model. A lighted area makes the cutter much easier to use and prevents errors. trimmer This trimmer is light, easy to use and the vacuum keeps things very neat and clean. Easy to clean and store. Nice product. Pathetic replacement model Keeping nose hair trimmed is very important to me. We loved our old Sharper Image trimmer. It was nice and hefty in the hand while feeling compact, odorless and trimmed perfectly, leaving nothing behind. You could hear it furiously snipping hairs with its razor sharp blade. That unit finally died after years of satisfactory use. This new model replacement is symptomatic of the "junking-down" of consumer products. We went right back to Sharper Image expecting the same or even better performance (hey, computers and cars are still getting better, right?). But this trimmer is bigger, lighter, noisy, smells like hot oil, and trims poorly. It takes a long time to get a satisfactory job and its never really done no matter how long you trim. The blade just isnt sharp, or isnt making a tight scissor cut. Its only saving grace is that it doesnt tug the hairs like some brands. What a let down. Have not yet found another brand to replace it with the performance of our old Sharper Image nose hair trimme would get this again would like to have just a head replacement instead of having to buy the whole thing when head isnt sharp e ough-seems to be excessive to have to buy the whole item-wasteful. like to be green-have less stuff for landfills. The vacuum feature is really, really inventive and useful Great Product I love my new nose hair trimmer. its ok bigger then last trimmer Great product! I recently purchased your deluxe nose & ear trimmer last and couldnt believe how affective and comfortable it was to remove unwanted hair. I questioned if it was actually working when I started using it for the first time as it was so quite and there was no discomfort removing the hair. I own one the Sharper Images older version (turbo 500) and there is no comparision in the overall performance and outcome of using the new version vs. the original model bought 6+ years ago. I recommend this product highly to anyone who is experiencing discomfort in removing hair if using another brand or and earlier model of this product. Deluxe Nose/Ear Trimmer doesnt work very well I previously purchased a cheap ($12) nose/ear hair trimmer at a drug store, and it didnt work very well, so I decided to pay $50 for this Sharper Image trimmer thinking that it would do a good job. It does not trim any better than the $12 one. It does a very poor job of trimming nose hair. Takes forever to cut anything. After about 15 minutes of trimming, the hair was finally trimmed back far enough (barely) so that it wasnt protruding from my nostrils. A small pair of scissors would be faster and do a better job.
