Review Content Good for maintaining clean floors. This vacuum is not up to cleaning floors that havent been vacuumed in a week. I tried it on floors I hadnt vacuumed and its performance was okay, but not as good as I would have liked--especially on the area rugs. I got out my big vacuum and went over everything and then ran the Neato every day and it did a good job maintaining the floors. My main complaints are that if one wheel is on an area rug and the other is on the wood floor, the vacuum doesnt pick anything up and it doesnt work as well on the rugs as I would like. What I like is that my floors look good, if not perfect, every day instead of just the day I vacuum and the day after. Im not getting rid of my big vacuum cleaner just yet--I may need it to get deep into corners and edger once a month. Super cool to watch it work! "irobot" vacuum is better I have wooden floors and if you put this in a room with lots of furniture, it fails to do the job. It went around the same chair three times until I finally picked it up and moved it. Sharper Image sold a similar concept vacuum, irobot" years ago and that item makes this one look terrible. I made a big mistake this time. This is the first product I purchased from Do that failed me. I went and bought the second version of the irobot vacuum. useful sometimes gets stuck under coutch sometimes also sometimes cant find its way back to home base good on wood floors Really a fun way to vacuum We are having a blast watching this little machine zip around each room doing all my work for me. It was worth every penny we spent on it. We have three dogs, hardwood floors and area rugs and it really keeps the hair and dust from over taking our home. Thanks for a great product. I would never be able to keep up with vacuuming everyday, but this allows me to do so. It works exactly as described. Neato X11 Robotic Vacuum Ive been using this vacuum for about 3 weeks. I love her! I have polished concrete floors . . . 4 throw rugs . . . floor to ceiling windows . . . large open spaces . . . sectional sofa pieces that are moved frenquently. We also have two cats and frequent dog visiters. I find that she has no problems with any of these. I use her almost everyday. She cleans our front room (about 850 sq. ft.), a hallway, 2 bathrooms and our closet (400 sq. ft.). She does not do well in our bedroom . . . too many obstacles that she can get under but difficulty finding her way out. She does a great job. I do have to swiffer the edges about once a week, as she does not clean about a 1-2" strip. I find that my raised surfaces (ie counters, tables, etc.) are a lot less dusty since she arrived. She has only gotten "confused" and been unable to find her charging station once. Sometimes her method of sectioning off and cleaning a room makes no sense to me, but she does not miss anything. Vacuuming ranks near the bottom of my favorite things to do so I usually put it off for far to long between cycles. I had looked into getting a robotic vac before but the price was high at the time and that was pre-child so I did have more time then. This seemed like a good option to keep the dirt level down. Occasionally I will have to use the big vac to do a really deep cleaning, but not nearly as often as I did before. I love that this machine is smart enoght to map out a room, clean it and then move to the next room. Like others have said it doesnt clean right up next to the wall. There is about an inch distance between the edge of the machine and the cleaning bar. That being said it does a great job of cleaning my carpet, tile and hardwood flooring. Every time it runs the dust bin is full so I know it is doing its job. My house has 2 levels with about 1000 feet per level. It takes about a Not bad This vacuum does a nice job cleaning the floors. It is a little too big to get under the edge of cabinets but otherwise it does a good job covering everything else. Neato is neat It really gets dirt and dust that is deep in the carpet. It is fun to watch. Sometimes doesnt pick up all the human and cat hair. You have to pick up the clutter (clothes, magazines, cords) before you use Neato. But overall, I am impressed with it. I didnt realize my carpet had so much dirt in it. love my neato We have a 2 story house. I purchased a neato to vacuum downstairs. The following week my husband insisted we buy another unit for upstairs. We love both of them. He has already said if anything happens to either of them we are to replace it immediately. Id buy it again. Cleans nicely especially if programmed for regular schedule. Still picking up almost a bin full a day after 3 weeks use so vacuums deeper each pass. My house is complex layout and it can handle it well and finds its base. Goes from hardwood to carpet to runner rugs without getting itself stuck. Only pushes around those runners without grip backing. Doesnt do edges well on carpeting but doesnt claim to either. Its nice to leave most of the vacuuming to it. House always looks presentably clean and its very dusty here since Im rural. No more dustbunnies or cathair clumps! Much better than my other auto sweeper. I have a cat that sheds, and this product keeps my floors clean without having to drag out my large vacuum. It knows when the job is finished, and its borders work well. Saves Time First let me say that the product I received was defective and did not work. I called Neato and they sent me a replacement in 2 days with a prepaid sticker to send the old one back. Their customer service was very good. The vacuum itself saves us time. It is easy to program and works well given its small size. We use it on tiled services only and every time it is scheduled to run, the dust bin is full. Honestly, I dont know where is comes from. The only thing that is not perfect about this vacuum is it is kind of loud and doesnt always find its way back to the charging station. Happy User [...] It takes some time to get to know the unit and how it operates but so far its easy to use. Its impressive in that it responds to my actions. When I picked it up it said to "put me back on the floor" A little scary the way it operates at times since it seems too human. But Ill get used to it. Most importantly it cleans well. It cleans under sofas and chairs and otherwise difficult places which a regular vac may not touch. I have a shedding fern and as anyone knows those frequently make a mess on the floor. It may miss some of the leaves edging the plant stand which I may need to clean up but this is a small compensation for an automated vacuum. I am in love with my Neato XV-11 I have a home office in a 2-story house. The Neato was purchased to vacuum the downstairs. The downstairs has a living room, office, kitchen, and bath. The unit is scheduled to vacuum 3 times a week. It takes 50 minutes for the Neato to vacuum the whole area and during that time I have no problem conducting business on the phone and the party I am talking to does not realize a vacuum is running. The only problem when we first got the Neato was when it tried to return to the charging station, all the electronics and wifi in my office would disorient it and it would try to dock to my surge protector. All I do is once it finishes the office, I unroll the boundary marker and block off the office desk area. It returns to its docking station with no problem. It only takes a few minutes to roll the boundary marker back up, empty the trash bin, check the brush for hair. And for that I have a beautifully vacuumed home. Yes, I am very happy with the Neato and would highly recommend it. Roomba on Steroids After being burned by the regular Roomba, I was a little hesitant going into this. However, this puts the Roomba to shame. Fancy design, new technology and I can finally keep up. Great purchase Vacuum programmed to run every morning while I am at work. It cleans pretty well except at corners. Wished I had bought this product sooner. The Neato XV-11 totally surprised us in the amount of dirt it picked up the first time. This was a day and a half after my floors were vacuumed and moped. It will stop in the middle of cleaning to go back to its base and recharge, if battery power is low and after recharged returns to the place it stopped. It is noisy but then I have never had a vacuum that was quiet.
