helps to hear better
This devise does amplify the sound,especially when watching TV. The sound is like you are in a tunnel and when you turn up the volume you have to be careful of the screeching feedback. But for the price this devise does work. Its not a hearing aid though.

This is a good thing!
I am using this product at my daughters because I needed to hear TV better. They have 2 young girls, and do not like to turn the TV so loud. It works real well.

Doesnt work as advertised
I really wanted this item to work because my husband needs it (and wont go get a hearing aid!). But, if your hearing isnt as good as it should be, and you turn the unit up high to get the volume you need, the units "feeds back" on itself and emits a high-pitched whine, thereby further damaging your hearing! Its a Catch-22!
