Review Content More than I expected I have only used it 3 times.Made some chili ,rice and soup to see how it would do.Absolutely amazing ..does the same thing as Crock Pot except Faster and the flavor of the food is by far better than a Crock pot.The texture of the food does not break down like it would in slow cooker , plus when the cooking cycle ends , it automatcally goes to the warming cycle and stops cooking. The only drawback , and it is a small one ,is that it works like a small pressure cooker ...there is steam release from the top and depending on what you are cooking ,it could create a small mess. Speaking of clean up , it is an absolute breeze . It really is a Great Tool in the kitchen. Gift for vegetarian Slow cooking and clay pot cooking is the best of both worlds. Gave to my niece. Cooker Comes Through This cooker makes perfect rice every time with less water/stock required. It has special settings for different types of rice and because it cooks under pressure reduces the time required for brown rice by 1/3 to 1/2. I also made a beef stew which turned out well. A meal can be preprogrammed to start at a certain time and will automatically shift to warm when cooking is finished. Because this is a pressure cooker, you need to read the booklet and make adjustments in time calculations and procedure as indicated. 21st Century Cooking with new crock pot I did an extensive review before I purchased this cooker. With this cooker I can cut the cooking time significantly compared to my old cooker. It is much easier to determine the cooking time for the various meats. I use the cooker almost every Sunday and the meal is ready when we arrive home from church. Would highly recommend this cooker as it has more features compared to others that are on the market.
