Good food, badly engineered

I have owned the European original (Tefal Family Fry) for a bit over a year and by now every single piece but the actual base had to be replaced at least once. The plastic cover had been replaced thrice under warranty and is due again soon. The quality of the food that comes out of this is good to very good but the machine design and choice of shape/material is totally flawed. We use this 4-5 times a week and it is clearly not made for such regular use. Considering the premium over regular deep friers the manufacturer (Tefal, France) ought to improve the choice of material drastically or reduce the price. It is basically a small oven that rotates the food rather than a deep frier by definition.

Even More Than I Expected!

Not only does this make delicious, crunchy french fries, but I can make lots of meals that normally would not be cooked in a fryer like stir fry, desserts, vegetables. What a pleasant surprise!

Healthy for my Family

This has been a great appliance for my family. My family loves to eat fried foods but I hate making it for them because of all the fat. With the healthy deep fryer anything I have "fried" in it has that deep taste and crunch to it without all the fat. After were done theres no messy clean up with all that hot oil. I simply throw the pieces in the dishwasher.
