Lots of features for such a low price
Fun, inexpensive little toy that takes macro photography to a whole new level. Though I was a little disappointed by some of the features and the controls, for the price it is still an amazing value and basically does what is claimed - take quality photos and video at a microscopic level. I was disappointed that the optical magnification is EITHER 3.5x or 35x, and then you can multiply that digitally an additional 1x to 4x. So by my calculation, the max would be 4 times 35 magnification, of 140x - though I found 35x to be the most useful. The digital magnification at higher levels causes too much noise to produce quality pics. Taking video is pretty cool too, though the subjects are hard to keep on screen if they are moving. And although the menu takes some learning, it is basically because the device has a LOT of options and settings to control with very few buttons.

Cool for Kids
This was a gift for my children who have very inquisitive minds. They really like learning new things and having an adventure while doing it. They take this in the backyard and record the most interesting things. I never knew a blade of grass looked like it did up close. Its really cool that a microscope can take pictures and video!! I defiantly recommend this to anyone with children
