Not as good as expected
I bought this for my diabetic daughter - I need to count the carbs she eats to calculate her insulin dosage at every meal. My greatest disappointment was how extremely limited the book was that lists the carbs and other nutritional information. The book is so brief and DOES NOT contain information on SO MANY foods! Im sure its useful for some, but definitely not for someone with diabetes and the foods it measures are extremely limited
Good Product Made Complicated
I use this product every day without fail. Its a nice compact scale. The functions for "Nutrition Facts" are too complicated and need not be. Yes its Light weight, compact, attractive, durable, and easy to clean scale. The touch pad is too small, constantly re-entering information and eats batteries. The Nutrition scale food Code book is much too complicated. The code book has too many references for home use. I wanted to eat healthier, change my "life style eating habits" without adding aggravation. The goal of the Nutrition facts should be Simple, direct and to the point. This scale would better serve me if the food codes where limited to healthy chooses and minor unhealthy choices. The code book includes grossly unhealthy codes. NEEDS TO BE SIMPLIED

this product was a gift for my daughter. She really loves it! Says it is easy to use and is great with calculating calories for the daily usuage. Takes all the guess work out of adding the calories for you.

Great, easy to use scale
I use this food to help count calories for weight control and also for general use for weighing foods for recipes. I think the scale is very easy to use, it has a large # of codes to give info on many different food items. The scale is compact, so the digital readings are fairly small, but still readable. If you have poor eyesight, you may prefer a product with larger scale readings, otherwise I really like this scale.
Scale back your fat and sodium
I measure portions in relation to manage my diabetes. The scale informs me about sodium and fat level in foods that I am consuming. My only issue is that the liquid crystal diodes are difficult to read, unless you use a flass light on the information screen.

I received this as gift from my husband for Christmas and I love it. It has helped in losing weight, and its a good push to keep eating healthy. Its interesting to see the complete breakdown of foods.
I would totally recommend it. Its easy to use, and while yes, it does add some extra time to preparing meals, its worth the time. :)

Great Product!
I bought this product as a gift for my mom who is a nutritionist. She loved the product and even uses it to help teach/show her patients about portion size. I am thinking about buying one for myself since it is definitely nice to have around if you are trying to live a healthier lifestyle by eating a smaller portion size or counting calories, etc.

Great concept
It is a wonderful idea/concept for diabetics, but the print on the product is too small for older users as are the instructions. The instructions are so complicated that the average person wont take time to learn how to use it. I doubt that I would spend the money for it ever again.
Weigh easy
I use it to figure calories on fruits and vegetables that vary in size and come with no calorie and nutritional information. Useful in calculating info on mixed dishes such as casseroles, soups and stews. Small and attractive enough to leave on the kitchen counter but small and light enough to put in a drawer. The instructions and charts are durable, clear and user friendly. Dont know how durable the scale and battery as it is still new but as is now, I would highly recommend this product.
