Just got to splurge a little
One of the best headphone i have ever used. Its a little on the expensive side, but worth the price.
Fits great in the ear. Cancels out a lot of airplane noise. Highly recommend!
Smaller but maybe not better
I use these noise cancelling gizmos on flights. I dont fly a huge amount but when I do, I like a little break from the engine noise, passengers who want to constantly chat throughout a 6 hour flight, etc.
I bought these as a replacement for my QC15s which I had lost at YVR recently (but thankfully found again thanks to 1)my persistence and 2) a very nice Delta agent who actually hunted me down at the same airport when I was leaving but I digress.
Mostly these were very attractive because they are SO much smaller than the QC15s. I usually travel with my 22" rolly and a backpack and the QC15s, with their case, take up a huge amount of room. That plus I read numerous reviews that the noice cancelling on these were superior to that of the QC15s.
I recently took them on a trip from MSP to SFO.
These QC20s definitely were smaller and lighter, take up way less room in my backpack and the inline controls (ios) were nice as was the "aware" button which lets you hear sounds around you (actually a little amplifie
Great noise canceling, better than QC-15
Compact design makes the earbuds ideal for travel. Noise canceling can be turned off without removing the earbuds. Comfortable in ear design.
A little pricey, but very comfortable
These are very comfortable and work very well for noise cancellation. Dont expect them to block everything, but they do a great job. The only downside is they are a bit expensive.
+ Noise canceling capacity is definitely a step above QC15
+ Can be worn *inside* QC15, for double noise-cancelling. You wont be able to hear anything
+ battery life is good - I accidentally left it on and after more than 12 hours it is still functioning perfectly
great when using them on noisy planes and buses. Give back the quiet atmosphere
Best Portable Noise Cancellation Headpho
Use the headphone everyday during commute to and from home
I had the Audio Technica noise cancellation headphones but they were too large to carry with my laptop bag. I bought the Bose QC20 instead and love them. PLUS they work with my phone as well. Shutting out all the traffic and noise and hearing only the person talking on the phone is amazing.
Amazing noise canceling
These earbuds are great. The best thing about them are the fact they are no bigger than other earbuds. Most noise canceling earphones are over the ear. These are much better, and do a great job. Really quiet when you are wearing these, and you can even wear them just to filter noise; you dont have to be listening to anything else.
Great for air travel or city living
Purchased these because the Bose QC15 over-the-ear headphones are a pain to take on travel because of the size. While I will say these QC20 do not have as good of sound, they more than make up for it with being compact and having a great "city" feature where you can have some noise-cancelling, but also allow you to hear what is going on around. Also, unlike the QC15 which do not work without a battery, you can use the QC20s with or without (and it is rechargable).
Bose proves it again.
Wonderful product. Great sound!
Work very well at reducing external sounds. Looking forward to my first plane trip with them. Comfortable in the ears and excellent Bose sound.
The headset is rather amazing. As a QC3 user for years, I have gone through a number of earbud headphones. This literally gives you the quality of over the ear headphones, with the size and flexibility of earbuds. Music has not sounded this good ever. Additionally making calls with headphones "on" was absolutely amazing in a busy airport. The only downside to the headphones is that the mic is used to deaden the sounds. Sometimes it picks up conversations a significant distance away.
On The GO Ease - Superior Performance
On the go or focusing on timely work projects, I use these earbuds to bring my level of concentration and calm into my own virtual world. Getting work done, or assuring a restful and relaxing travel experience these headphones are an ideal companion. If you value quiet and relaxing virtual private world to relax or work, these are for you!
Best noise cancelling earphone
I generally dont like active noise cancelling because I am one of those people who can feel the pressure on the ear drum. The Bose QC20 is small and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone
Slightly Overhyped But Great Overall!
These earbuds are simple, compact, and full of technology that works silently in the background to improve audio quality and noise canceling. Having said that, the active noise-canceling feature on these is somewhat overhyped IMO and allows higher pitched sounds to leak in quite a bit. I think these are best suited to drown out engine hums, air conditioner noise, etc.
Audio quality is fantastic when active noise-canceling is turned on but lackluster with it off. Battery seems to last a long time, but given its Li-ion nature, it will eventually fail and is irreplaceable. Take all this for what its worth, but these are still some of the best active noise-canceling earbuds on that market today!
Great Product !!!!
it is amazing how great these headphones work..i own a set of Beats and after using these it was like my oldset was a pair of jensen or coby garbage ...only wish they didnt need to be recharged but, worth the sacrifice
It Works Great and Fits in my Pocket!
I have owned every generation of Bose noise canceling headphones and love my QC-15s except that they are too bulky for travel. These are a perfect solution to that problem - they are small, lightweight, and fit into my pocket. The sound quality is comparable to the QC-15s and I like the option of allowing some sound in for conversations or to hear announcements on airplanes. While the rechargeable battery life is very long I also like that they will work passively if the battery needs recharging.
One minor complaint - they do not include the airplane adapter. At that price it should! The only suggestion for improvement would be to make the cord on the bottom of the control unit removable so if you are just using it do block background noise, you dont have a short cord dangling needlessly.
I am selling my old QC-15s on eBay. I really like this version much better.
These earbuds are awesome!
Use it ALL the time, Anywhere, and the sound is AWEsome !
Better noise cancelling than the Bose QC
Have the Bose QC15 over-ear noise cancelling and found them good, but hurt your ears after a while. Also very bulky to carry around for travel. These are better noise cancelling and very compact with good battery life, easily recharged. Only downside is the sound isnt as good as the QC15, but what can you expect from these in-ear headphones.
Sound quality is exceptional.
Best Noise Cancelling Phones so far
I bought those phones as a gift for my friend. After receiving those I was amazed by quality and noise cancelling qualities. Lightweight, excellent performance and long lasting battery life. Now I have to retire my Sennheiser and get myself a pair.
The best noise canceling earbuds
Its very comfortable to wear for a long period of time. The noise canceling function is superb.
worth the money
I have a Bose M3 and this QC20 is better at noise cancelling.
Excellent - so portable
With my old QC15s I only used them for flights and little else because they were so bully. These new ones fit in my pocket with my phone so I can use them anywhere. Ive used them while waiting at my sons indoor soccer practice even, just to drown out some of the loud children and shouting! Theyre great at work where a white noise machine annoys me until I put them on. And the awareness mode is a great addition. That lets me keep them in my ears.
Excellent choice for travel
The noise cancelling is excellent. It is perfect for travel. It blocked the airplane wind and engine noise. Sound was good but not the best. Battery life is good and as advertised. Aware mode is just okay -works good at times, but most of the times, I still need to remove the headset.
-lack of music playback/volume controls on the headset.
The best noise canceling
Works awesome. Better than over the ear. Main drawback is lack of user replaceable battery. After li-on battery dies the headphones are just regular headphones. Wish they made the case a bit bigger to accommodate the battery size.
All theyre cracked up to be
These earbuds live up to their reviews. Great sound, quiet, easy controls, and a comfortable fit. I like that there are different size earpieces. These are our first noise-canceling earphones, and I think they are the only ones you need, unless you want to walk around looking like an airline pilot.
Excellent on Long Flights
Just used these on a long 14 hour flight to Asia. I had them on before we took off. I took them off for the first time in mid-flight and I felt like I was in a wind tunnel. Never realized how loud a plane can be until I got these. The difference was astounding. Not quite sure how I was able to sleep without these on planes. But now, I can sleep like a baby. On my side no less, which you cant really do with over-ear headphones. Yes these are expensive but look around for promo codes and you can get them for under $200.
cancellation of surround sound amazing
Best thing is the noise cancellation, excellent sound & fit.
Works perfectly. Drowns out all ambient noise.
Sound isolation works great and shape stays in ear well with good comfort. A bit fragile but all earphones are.
Very nice product
Nice and very quiet. Some functions on volume control wont work on Android if you have 20i version which is for iPhone.
NOTHING BUT THE BEST
I plug the Bose QuietComfort 20s into my MacBookPro start up iTunes or a movie, sit back and relax to the best sound playback I have ever experienced from noise canceling earphones.
I use earbuds while traveling.
I love it.
I use it mostly in the lab, which is usually very noisy. It makes the environment much quiter. I really love it.
I would buy this product again.
He is really like it.
Im happy with this purchase
I use this product for long flights. I have only used it twice so far, but it is performing well. The description says that the battery lasts 16 hours and this is pretty much spot on. I took two back-to-back 8-hour flights and the device pooped out on me about 15 minutes before I reached my destination. The noise cancellation is good. It is not quite as good as over-the-ear models. Also, the earpiece can start to get pretty uncomfortable after about 6-8 hours. My ears were a little sore and red by the end of my 16-hour journey. The major benefit of this model is its small size compared to almost any other noise-cancelling device on the market. Because of this, I would buy it again.
The noise cancellation works surprisingly well and the sound quality is just perfect. I had other earbuds before with noise cancelling and this one is far superior in sound quality and noise reduction. I bought the android version and first was a bit disappointed because there is only one button to control the phone with, but I found an app that enables to control everything with this one button, which makes it very handy to use. These are the best earbuds I ever had!
These earbuds are amazing! The sound you cant imagine . These were a Christmas gift but we couldnt wait. Santa came early! The music sounds like you are in a studio! You really could listen for hours. They are wonderful ! I sent for a set for my daughter Bose you are the best.
Happy So Far
My husband uses this product all the time. Hes a HUGE Bose fan, so he was really happy when they came out with noise canceling for a cell phone, really helps wen youre in a loud place and you need to hear a phone call!
Better than other earbuds
Great for travel and commuting on public transit.
Excellent noise cancelling earbuds
These earbuds provide astonishing noise cancellation. If you thought you needed over-the-ear headphones to get great noise cancellation, think again. Keep in mind that noise cancellation technology tends to work best on consistently droning sounds--airplane engines, air conditioner condensers--and worst on single, piercing noises--loud baby screams. That makes sense since the processor has more information to create the sound wave that cancels consistent noises but gets much less information for a sudden noise.
As a result, fit is important with the QC20s because the seal with your eardrums increases the noise isolation youll experience--in other words, the ability to shut out the sudden piercing noises, which works in concert with noise cancellation technology to isolate you from your surroundings. Play around with the three provided tips to get your best fit because when these earbuds fit properly, the QC20s will amaze you with their ability to provide you with a buffer against the noise of the world aro
30 Hours of flying
Just returned from Bali to Connecticut on a 54 plane trip. I am hard of hearing and with the noise canceling option, I was able to hear and understand each of the six movies I watched during my 19 hours in the air. They were well worth the cost for this trip alone.
Replaced my old over-ear Bose headphones with these and it was worth every penny. Two big advantages: (1) much lighter and smaller for travel; and (2) can sleep more easily on a plane with a neck pillow because there is no interference with the earphones. Highly recommend these!
Great light weight travel protection. Not as good as over the ear, but an excellent compromise of weight and convenience.
From a person who doesnt like Bose
The noise blocking is incredible.
Wow! Ive found myself sorely disappointed with other active noise cancelling headphones, so I decided to give these a roll. BOSE has the market cornered on this, no one else today can match even half the quality of noise reduction - let alone the great (not amazing) sound quality. Now I can read in the living room w/ my fiance while she catches up on Netflix.
Bose does it again
Ive been a long-time owner of the QC2s but was looking for a newer, more portable pair of headphones. Since that time Bose had a number of misses but became inspired by success of soundlink mini, and so decided to give these a shot. Excellent sound, great battery life, highly portable are the main reasons to get this. As far as in-ear headphones go they are highly comfortable. This is a winning product all the way around.
Comfortable and good sound quality
I use it almost daily for the long train and shuttle ride to work. I also own the Bose full size over the head noise canceling headphone but prefer these earbud design as it takes less space in briefcase and does not standout like the large headphones. So far the quality is holding up. These are also very comfortable to wear.
though a little bit expensive, definitely worth it!
I can wear glasses with earbuds on
On time delivery & good product quality
Bought this as a Gift for a friend. Having used Bose products in past, I dont have to worry about the quality and support. Only thing I am a bit unsatisfied about is there is not a single Universal version e.g., I have bought an Android earbuds, but for some reason if My friend is not able to use it, I cannot use it either as its not compatible with iPhone. (Bose please do something about it).
looks attractive and easy portable
I just received the product and havent use it. But it looks like attractive and light, easy to carry around.
These are amazing! Better than the QC15 even. I did a lot of research and tested a lot of noise cancelling headphones before purchasing these - they really are the best noise cancelling money can buy. If noise cancellation is your #1 priority - get these!!! And Sharper Image had super fast shipping too!
Finally! Something Ive been looking for
Okay, lets face it, Bose has never put out a bad product, and these are no different. I have had the Bose over the ear noise canceling headphones for well over 10 years, having switched to Bose after a long flight from Europe. They are great, and still perform. I have the Bose bluetooth for my iPhone, it is also great, and there are times when I forget I have it in my ear. I also have the Bose earbuds for music (courtesy of a gift from my sister), and they are wonderful. So, with all this in mind, and wanting a smaller package for travel, I bought the QC 20i, and could not be happier.
The 20i gives great sound, does a fabulous job of canceling out noise, and are extremely comfortable (confirmed by a 3.5 hour flight). If you are so into audio that you feel you arent getting the absolute most out of your music, then buy the regular earbuds from Bose. If you would like noise canceling in a small and convenient package, that enables you to get great sound from your iWhatever, then buy these. Lets face it, if
Very handsome little gadget
This is a very convenient and handy little gadget. I use it on my way to school as a way to isolate the environmental noise and to fully enjoy my music. Music has never sounded so good with noise isolation! I also like the opton of aware mode, which ensures that I wont miss the stop.
My only complaint is about the filmsy carry case. Not what I expect from a 300 headset. Other than that, the product is perfect.
Awesome well designed product. Great noise canceling
Easy for the Gift Giver
Online shopping allowed me to acquire these with ease as I gained cash back from my credit card for items that are not marked down in stores.
Bought these for frequent air travel and the reviews said they were at least as good as the around ear noise canceling model. Ive only tried the QC15 in the store where they pretty much eliminated noise. The QC20 doesnt eliminate all noise on the plane, but it does eliminate a great deal. I also had to turn down the volume considerably from using a normal pair of noise-isolating earbuds. I could also hear more clearly at the lower listening level with the QC20. I am very impressed so far.
Bose QuitComfort 20i
Excellent noise cancelling and sound quality. Good fit.
It works splendidly. My only issue is the somewhat clunky pack next to the jack, but theres really no better place for it. Otherwise, the noise cancellation is great and the sound is spectacular.
Great noise concealing earbuds
Overall great product
Sound great; feel great.
These earbuds are very comfortable and stay in my ears very well for walking around, which is about as active as I get. They are much more comfortable than the on-ear version and dont mess up my hair either. The sound they put out is awesome too.
Reduces noise with out bulk
This is the third quiet comfort device that I have owned. It is the least bulky , and the first in ear model. It is very Effective. I dont think the in ear pieces fit as well as could be designed. I was able to fit the power source into my iPhone case with the phone. The battery life was about eight hours.
Good, but takes some getting used to
I own the over-the-ear Bose QC15s and was very skeptical that in-ear headphones could match the QC15s for noise cancelling. But that does appear to be the case (Ill know for sure on my next flight).
So from a portability perspective the QC20 is a big improvement. The only downside is these things do take some getting used to. They feel very different from standard in-ear headphones as they create a seal in your ear. So while it may not be love at first use, this model sure gets the job done in an tiny package.
small and light
works great for a person with glasses as head phones dont
Great Noise Reduction in a small package
After having used the QuietComfort 3 on ear for years I was looking forward to the new in ear and their compactness. The small travel package is great to have them always in your carry on. Sound is great. Noise Reduction even slightly better than the on ears. Wish one could order/buy custom fits from a hearing aid manufacturer.
Very comfortable, good noise cancelation
I upgraded myself from over-the-ear BOSE noise-canceling headsets to these much smaller in-ear buds. I generally dont like ear buds because they are either not comfortable or just constantly fall out of my perhaps mis-shapen ears ;) But these are different. Theyre the perfect travel companion.
Definitely the perfect choice
Having used less expensive noise cancelling ear buds,I decided to buy the best!Ive used Bose often, but the headsets are too bulky in my opinion. I hate the noise in the aircraft so will even use them to drown it out even when Im not watching/listening to anything and they really work. When listening to music or movies the sound is amazing, the ear buds are very comfortable thanks to different ear sizes. An added bonus, with the touch of a button I can still hear whats going on around me without removing them. Very compact, light and the USB recharge is perfect for todays high tech living. Would definitely recommend and repurchase.
Surprising Noise Cancelling Ability
I have been using Sennheiser noise canceling headphones for years and loved them. They recently broke so when researching and saw the great reviews of the 20i I had to try them. I was extremely skeptical that an ear bud design could actually filter out noise, but those concerns are completely gone. I use noise canceling headphones exclusively for air travel about 15 times a year. Im not an audiophile so the difference in sound quality is only noticeable for me when directly comparing headphones side by side - something I will never do again. I got these on sale but would definitely pay full price if I had to knowing what I know now. These are 5 stars for the technology, less 1 star for those who are serious about sound quality.
Exceeding my expectation...
The earbuds are simply awesome. My wife loves them and she can wear these ANYWHERE! Noise canceling feature is simply awesome. Unlike QC15, You can also use them without the battery charged. Aware mode is equally awesome as the noise canceling feature. Sharper Image is GREAT. The best place to buy these bad boys. The only downside is that they have been out of stock too long at Sharper Image.
