Does the job!
My husband watches the weather constantly so this keeps him from changing channels all the time. Backlight only shows when plugged into an outlet. Thursdays temperature is just partially visible.

Bought 2 for home and office
I love to track the weather. This was the most perfect gift I couldve purchased for myself so I bought one for work and one for home. And it was easy to set. The best part is that I didnt have to put a transmitter outside my office window which is 7 stories high.

Super Sleek Design
This is a great product that looks great in my kitchen. I love to be able to see the weather 7 days in advance and that the color of the screen changes with the temperature. The icons are easy to see and understand.

It was not for me, it was a gift, but what I saw of it, it looks good for what it does. It is for anyone who really wants to know the weather right away instead of looking it up or watching for it on TV.
Best gift ever received!!
I received this as a gift because my husband and I constantly check the weather for how to dress the kids, sporting events, etc.. Even though my husband was a bit of a skeptic, we use this calendar daily. Such valuable info as you plan things out. Even my 3 yr old has memorized what the colors and symbols mean. AWESOME!!!
Very cool!
This sure beats waiting 20 minutes for the Weather Channel (and all of the commercials) to get the morning forecast. Also great for checking the forecast of an area you plan to visit.
almost perfect
After trying several others I believe this to be the best on the market. An earlier Ambient 5 day forecaster was even better however in that allowed me to save favorite cities so I did not have to scroll thru the entire list. Also, the back light needs to be adjustable - it is way too bright for a bedroom.
Was excited to receive the station
The 150 locations for weather and wind displays are not applicable for my location.

Unfortunately
Unfortunately, we live in a very remote area of NC. The closest city was Raleigh and it is over 2.5 hours away. So the weather we could get was not relevant to us. Otherwise it has a great screen and gave us good information
7-Day Weather Forecaster a Borecaster
Naples, FL is 60 miles south of us and Tampa is 112 miles. Why didnt you include Fort Myers, FL or Sarasota, FL?
The concept is terrific but of absolutely no use as a "weather" forecaster.
Coverage inadequate for my needs
I thought this was the perfect gift for my mother who likes to know the weather everywhere her family members are. Unfortunately, your product does not work in her area, so we got there with the perfect Christmas gift only to find out that she cans use it. Very disappointing. The idea was great - coverage not what we needed.
Great visuals
I bought the weather forecaster for my husband for Fathers Day and we love the large screen and different options you have. The kids are now more involved looking at the predictions for the week and keeping us updated on their activities and the weather. Its very easy to see with the built -in light and also a great resource for information on the weather anywhere you are curious.
Easiest, Automatic Forecaster
The Ambient 7-day forecaster is extremely uselful to me, an apartment dweller in the Houston area who usually misses the "next day forecast" on the television. The forecaster automatically receives forescasts wirelessley (check to make sure your location is within the coverage area, which is most of the United States) without a monthly maintenance fee. It updates automatically several times an hour, so it is "aware" of any rapidly-changing conditions. It cant tell you what the exact temperature is on YOUR porch any given instant, but it tells you what the most recent temps and conditions are for your area. This is helpful to me, as my previous attempt to place an external temperature sensor outside of my apartment was thwarted by direct sunlight and air conditioner condensing unit temperatures. It can run just on batteries, but with the included AC adapter it has a backlit screen that changes to indicate current outdoor temperature conditions at a glance (Orange is for 80-89 degrees farenheit and Red i

I keep this on my bedside table and it helps me plan what to wear that day. A great way to know how many layers to wear in New England weather! Very accurate too!
Check your forecast in living color!
I have several Ambient weather devices and this is a great addition, especially since it changes color depending on the temperature range. You can set it on a counter top or mount it on the wall.
The difference between 4 and 5 stars here are two key features missing (one found on other Ambient devices): there is no "feels like" indicator, which is really helpful. Also, it would be a really nice touch to add the date.

The LCD is easy to see, information consistent; very easy to use.
Loved it but then the signal was dropped
We loved our forcaster and used it every day but then one day we no longer received signal. I called the company and they said they were not renewing their contract on the signal tower for our city. The forcaster only works in certain cities - make sure you check that out before you purchase one. We really miss our forcaster!
Limited use
There are NO towers for reception in our area. We live in a metropolitan area of 250,000 population, but there is no reception for our use of the product.
Always prepared for the weather
My mother-in-law enjoys checking the temperature several times a day. My husband enjoys checking out the other cities to check on the weather where friends and relatives live. Amazed at all the information that is given, including UV index and wind velocity. Large print is helpful.
Not a good investment
We moved the 7-Day Weather Forecaster to a number of different locations on all sides of the house. Occasionally, it would pick enough signal to register - reading that it would function in one hour. And occasionally, it would register a temperature and hold it constant for days at a time - with a non-changing forward forecast. We had one exactly like this forecaster several years ago that functioned well. This new one looks the same but does not work. Not a good investment.
Unuseable Gift
This gift turned out to be unusable. The box and the instructions fail to tell us that it CAN NOT use a Macintosh computer. Since I am one of the many millions that have a MAC the product is only to collect dust.
7-day weather forecaster
This product looks good and gives me important information at a glance in my living room. You can get this information without the trouble of mounting outside sensors. I would like to see indoor temperature information and a sleep alarm. I would have to say this is one of the best products i have run across in quite a while.

Convenient and Helpful
I put it in my living room and check the weather often. The size and the design are good. The only and big inconvenience is that the days of the week such as S, M are written so small that I have to go very close to it to read them. They should be written bigger. Also I want to see the todays day of the week next to "Today".

Always like to know the weather forecast before leaving home. Computer has similar info, but this sits on the kitchen desk, continuously displaying the info. Very useful!
NO GOOD IN RAPID CITY SD
Im sooooo glad I checked this out FIRST!!!! You cannot get a signal for this in Rapid City, SD. One reviewer from Sioux Falls said they lost the signal and the company is not renewing for THAT area, yet the list of signal sites shows Sioux Falls...... hmmm.....
The Weather At Your Fingertips!
This is the second one that I have purchased. I really like the unit; however, the original one I have can set up to five different areas that is easy to flip to where this one only sets one area and if you want to see the others you have to scroll through all of them to see them which is time consuming. Being able to set other states makes it easy to see where you are traveling and compare to where you are quickly.

we had bought this for the owner of the company to keep in his office. Since it did not work properly we needed to return item...Disappointed.
Not a Good Buy !!
This unit can go for months without working properly in spite of new batteries. I have recently switched from an XP operating system to Win 7 and it has not worked properly since.
great product ...would buy again
This was one of the best gifts I found. We gave one to my father-in-law who has a hard time programing things. This worked out great for him. It is easy to read, gives the out look for the week.
A family member that was over also like it, that she asked for the information to order one. I am also going to order more.
Entertainment
I believe it works off a satellite rather than from local weather sources. It can be off a few degrees, but is pretty neat having a general gauge of temperature. It is entertaining and changes colors for every 10 degree shift which is really cool. My kids love it too.
Great product
We have it sitting in the kitchen so we can see the forecast in the morning during breakfast before we head out the door. Much more convenient than waiting for TV or radio or booting up a web page.
