Better than the old model Ive had an earlier version of this trimmer and was actually looking to get new blades but when I saw the price on the new one and the sleeker new design I figured it made more sense to buy this new one. It works beautifully and protects me from using sharp objects to trim nose and ear hair. The one thing that could be better is this: to replace the battery you have to unscrew the bottom BUT the trimmer is slightly oblong, so you have to twist pretty hard. Famous Nose Hair Trimmer I thought I would try this product after hearing so much about it over the years. I was pleasantly surprised. This trimmer was much easier to use than I thought it would be. Combined with being light weight and compactness it is the perfect personal use grooming tool. The only drawback is the trimming tip gets rather hot if used too long; however, it doesnt take too long for it to cool off for further use. Nose Hair Trimmer Unfortunately, the blades are not built to last and the trimmer has to be replaced because of blade rust/corrosion. The blades are the smallest part of the trimmer but because of short blade life the trimmer needs replacing. May I suggest replacement blades be available for purchase or spare blades be packaged with a new trimmer. This is no doubt the best trimmer on the market and probably the third one I have purchased. Request for Birthday Gift My 42 year old son specifically asked for the Sharper Image brand. He had one in the past and finally wore it out. He said "I dont want any more of the junk ones, I want one that does what its supposed to. I dont need all those extra attachments, just this trimmer." So that is what Im giving him on March 11th.
