Much cooler than a regular fan
Used in a small bathroom with vanity lights that put out a lot of heat. Blows very cool air, especially when ice blocks are used.
Disappointed
-Arrived without the remote - still waiting -
-Does not cool that well
-After the freezer packs are defrosted air is room temperature and humid

Works as advertised
Runs Very quiet and produces a cool breeze when used with the ice packs. I prefer it over my portable AC. It is much quieter and uses far less electricity.

Extremely helpful
This really helps cool the room, especially if the room is not too large. We use it in the bedroom and it stays very comfortable. The freezer containers dont seem to make a difference. I really like this unit and it definitely has got us through an extremely hot season that is still ongoing.

What a relief!
For the price this cant be beat to cool you down. I use it in my garage all summer long where the temperatures are in the high 90s with the garage door open. It is 10 times better than just a fan and actually lowers the temperature in my work area by at least 10 degrees even with the garage door open.

Portable Evaporative Cooler
I use this product as an air conditioner to bring the temperature down significantly to call the room off. This is convenient, easy to use and works beautifully.
Not bad at all.
Really easy to use and fill. I live in Phoenix, Az.. We have to fill every 12 hours, but it is very dry here.

Throws cool air both indoors and outside on patio. Makes sitting on the patio in hot weather more comfortable. Runs quiet. Swing function is a great feature. Absolutely love this product.
This cooler saved me lots of money and headaches
We have a two story house in California. When the temps rise the heat upstairs is much greater than downstairs, where the single temp control is located. We could get an expensive mod to the A/C system but this cooler does the job at next to nothing in cost. LOVE IT.

Great Portable Cooler
This is a great cooler, easy to set up, to move from one room to another, cools right away dont have to wait.

I live in Las Vegas where even the nights stay hot during the summer. I bought this cooler primarily to use in my outdoor seating area and it works great. It is so light weight, I can easily carry it into the house. It is perfect to cool down the kitchen while I am cooking and an added comfort to the great room while watching TV. I wish I had bought this item sooner. It is wonderful.
Quiet and Efficient!
The Luma Portable Evaporative Cooler is definitely a few notches up from using just a plain old fan. It does cool you off if you live in a dry climate; however, dont expect to walk into the room and feel like its air conditioned. I like it because its fairly quiet at low speed---perfect for when youre trying to sleep at night. And it has a remote control and timer, too, so you wont need to worry about getting up in the middle of the night to turn it off. About the only drawback for this cooler is that the water tank needs to be refilled every few hours, but at least it does have an automatic shut-off should the water drop below the minimum level in the tank.
Portable Evaporative Cooler
While it does make the room cooler, it does not cool the room by 20 to 30 degrees as stated in the article, not even a small room. (I tried it in the bedroom) It does help in my kitchen which gets the afternoon summer heat through a large bay window. For the price, a large fan will do just as well.
Not as good as it sounded
I bought this cooler to use upstairs in my hot apartment. The water tank needs refilled quite often & the cooler leaks all over inside when you pull out the tank to refill it (even though I turn the cooler off first, before opening the refill tank). For the price I expected it to cool a lot better. This cooler doesnt even cool down one small bedroom upstairs. The cooler makes the room feel muggy instead of cooler. Adding cold water & ice cubes doesnt make it any cooler/colder. It is quiet & the fan portion works/blows just like a fan should. Ive tried this cooler for two weeks now & Im unimpressed. Going to see if its not too late to return since it doesnt meet our needs.

Unfortunately this product did not cool a small bedroom which is why I bought it. It makes for a very good fan but thats all. I am disappointed. I do not intend to return it as I can make use of it as a fan in my basement, albeit an expensive fan. Sorry about the negative review as I had hoped it would work as advertised.
Received my cooler today and it arrived sooner than I though
Ill have it at my bed at night and not use my AC. It is really quiet even on high speed. I think were going to get along real well!

I use the product in home, fan is quiet and cools nicely however when using the humidifier I dont like the water sound.

PEC is
A gift for my husband on Fathers Day, we use the PEC in our 3rd floor bedroom. No need for use of a noisy air conditioner and the PEC is less costly to run, than a window air conditioner. It works great and we love it.
Nice fan, but no air conditioner.
I use mine mostly to help cool and circulate along with my air conditioner in another room. It cools my entire apartment! I only use the ice packs and water when its really hot or the air conditioner isnt on. Im hoping to keep my electric bill down by not having to use two A/C units. I really like the style of the fan and ease of moving around because its got wheels.
Just doesnt cool
We have a small dog that lives in our small garage. I was hoping this would cool it down a little for these summer months. The fan is fine, nothing exceptional. Its probably a decent humidifier. But in now way does it cool. i tried with just water and then with the ice packs.

This works well for keeping my small bathroom cooler and it helps cool a small bedroom a bit. Noticeable cooling if directed towards you.
Perfect
My kitchen gets hot when oven is on. This fan is great to use to cool room and makes it comfortable to in there. I have looked for something like this for years that was free standing, light weigth and didnt have to be vented. Also, I love the fact that it comes with ice packs that can be used it if gets really hot. I am so glad I found this.
Needed for this global warming up weather

Just the thing for a long, hot summer!
Although I am using this cooling device in a room larger than suggested, it makes quite a difference. Adding the two frozen bricks to the water does help a lot. The only drawback is that it uses up the water fairly quickly, but it isnt really a big deal to refill it. Really glad I tried it!
Its So Cool!
We wanted something that was efficient and not unattractive. We didnt want some giant thing that had to hang out the window. This unit fit the bill for us perfectly. It has lots of options and features. Its on wheels so it moves. It was easy to learn to use it. Its quiet on some settings. And the best thing is that is does the job wonderfully. Our very large, very hot bedroom is now comfortable.
Best Fan I Ever Bought
We have an outside screen tent for smoking and it is perfect to keep everyone cool while outside. The ice packs make it even more cooler. I love this item and would recommend it to anyone. We also use it when we go camping.

We have one very large room in our home that directly affects the comfort of the entire house. We purchased this product to hopefully lower the temperature in that room. Weve only had it a couple of days, but it seems to help.

Our family room & kitchen only have 1 vent for both rooms so they are always hotter than the rest of the house. This has been so wonderful, cools down the room at least 15 - 20 degrees. Great Purchase.
just received it and...

Good alternative to Air Conditioning
High quality, Eco-friendly, Evaporative Cooler.
Opening a window for cross-ventilation will improve the performance of the cooler.
Try Placing the unit in front of a window where it can pull in dry cooler air and also open a window on the other side of the room to prevent a build-up of too much humidity.
This is the best cooling device for any room
We had a problem in a two story house where the heat on second floor was greater than the first and had to set the AC very low to cool the upstairs. Now with this amazing device we can cool the bedroom with no problem and keep the AC setting normal

It reached into the three digits here this summer. My windows face the West afternoon sun. The best thing for me was the air circulation it provides to keep the room cool.I used only one ice pack so next time Ill use both at the same time. It did help to cool the air.
Great machine so far. Could not find a warrenty on it. Ive had other Sharper Image products and they work well.

It is useful only for small rooms <250,Typical apartment bedroom.
Cooling is not that fast with ice packs,it works fine for temperatures under 80 degrees.

I tried using this cooler in my garage with the ice packs and following the directions. Did not cool the room at all. Started out blowing cool air, then warmer air. Ill be returning this unit.

We use the frozen inserts only in the hottest temperature. The unit works well without them when it is not quite so hot out.
Portable Evaporative Cooler
I would give this product a 5 star instead of a 4 but it is bulky and difficult for most women to move to another room. It cools our bedroom well while we sleep so our whole house air conditioner is on a higher setting, and not "clicking on" nearly as much! Hope this lowers our bill, to early to tell!
Nice addition for summer heat
One of the reviews I read said this would cool a room up to 30 degrees, it doesnt do that but it does make the room feel cooler. I add ice cubes to the water to make it colder.

Pretty quiet and when used with the ice packs produces a pretty cool stream of air.
sleek design and works well in a small space
great design and I like that it has a drawer to pull out for the water, as I can also add ice or ice packs. (Other swamp coolers have a small opening for the water, and no space for an ice pack to get cooler air circulating). Ive only had it for 2 weeks, but so far, so good! I use it in my 9x11 foot office and does pretty well, considering the room can be scorching hot in the afternoon sun.
Amazing Super Cool!!
I live in the south and to help cool off our bedroom on these warmer days, without running my ac all day on full blast, I went to research the best portable unit. I came across this and once I received it I plugged it up immediately. Without the water or ice packs it blows amazingly cool and with them even colder. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a cooler experience.

The look is elegance and light enough to carry to use at patio or in the room.the fan power was strong enough, but adding with some packs of ice, it was not really cool as expected, should improve at this point, thanks!
This unit is ok. High Decibel.
The product is in use 24/7. But the noise level for Night use is way too high. A decibel level of about 40, would be great. The third speed is very noisy. Needs to cool much better than what was stated. The controls or remote is very easy to use. It is very easy to set to what you want and also cleaning and access to the different areas for both cleaning and water refill.
Cooler At Last
Its just been too hot in my house (small house) and I can move this into any room Im in. Ive had it for a couple of weeks and Im a much happier and cooler person. I love it.
Louder than expected
I bought it for the backyard. It works as intended. However, it is noisy. I still need more time to see how durable it is in North Texas sun. I wish that the power cord was 5 feet longer.
Potable cooling system
I have a "bonus" oom over the garage that I have made into my sewing niche. Although it is air conditioned, It gets really hot in the summer months (which is my May to November in South Carolina) I have been searching for a portable cooling device that would work for me since, there is no window to vent an air conditioner. I was so excited to find this product. It works wonderfully for my use. I turn it on when I am upstairs and off when I am not. I am very pleased with this cooling device.

Portable Evaporative Cooler - Cheap Rubing
Finally set the unit up this week since the weather has gotten warmer and the flimsy tubing going from the pump to the cooling grid had a huge leak in it. I was able to patch it and it appears to be working OK now but it is disappointing that such cheap tubing is used on such an expensive fan.

Best Fan Ever!
We use this fan in a large familyroom that has floor to ceiling windows and faces west. We have been unable to keep this room comfortable (72) in the summer heat. Today its over 100 and its cool and comfortable. We used cold water and added the ice packs, works perfectly! Very impressed. Might buy more as gifts.
Came broken
The water bin was cheap plastic and it came broken right out of the box. It wouldnt hold water.
