love this, sleeping soundly.
After searching for the right white noise machine I have finally found the perfect one. easy to travel with, fits anywhere. im finally sleeping soooooo much better.
I sleep like a baby.
This product is a nightly sleep aid in my bedroom. I like the fact that it drowns out loud noise and dulls other lower sounding noise. It is great for Post Traumatic Stress symptoms in which sounds can keep me up. I am able to sleep all night long now without interruption. I will be married to my sleep machine for the rest of my life. I highly recommend this machine.
Great for Travel
I have slept with a small fan for white noise for many years. It had to be cleaned out and they usually eventually die. I have been using this for several weeks and it is good at blocking out noises from our cat. I recently took it on a cruise and it worked very well at blocking out most noises. It fit into my suitcase and I was so glad I had it on the trip. I look forward to many more years of use and traveling with it.

I have a difficult time falling asleep. Ive used a loud, inconstant fan - however the White Noise Machine has been the best investment ever! Using this not only helps me focus on falling asleep faster, it also helps lull me back asleep if I wake up in the middle of the night. It is also a tremendous sleep aid when I travel!
Works for me
I bought this product to try to sleep through the meowing of my elderly cat, who cranks up his complaining in the night despite my being assured by his veterinarian that he doesnt have any health issues. I love the cat, but I also must get 7 hours of sleep to function and am opposed to putting him on medication. I tried the smartphone white noise app but didnt find the options appealing. The Sharper Image white noise machine makes a very pleasant and steady "wind" noise that has given me uninterrupted sleep now for four nights. I dont hear my cat and, therefore, am not awakened multiple times during the night and dont have to struggle to get back to sleep. I definitely recommend this product. Also, its well made and easy to operate.

cant sleep without it. compact for travel and goes with me. now my husband cant sleep without it. If you sleep with "one ear open"...this is your product for helping block out annoying noises. Great fantastic! will always have one.

I am a spiritual director, and use this product outside my office when Im having an appointment. I bought this as a gift for a new director. Im sure she will appreciate it as much as I do.
Great noise machine
I have had this same noise machine for several years. My sisters machine broke and she was unable to find one she liked. On a recent trip out of town I brought mine. She loved it. So this was a gift for her. This machine is loud enough to cancel even airport hotel noise, but the sound is unobtrusive, its just a soothing background noise that cancels everything. I highly recommend this noise machine for home or travel. Its one of the best at a competitive price. The only problem is that it is a little bulky for packing.
Great white noise machine
Finally able to relax on the road and drown out noisy maids and fellow hotel patrons at the touch of a button. Nice and compact is a great feature for travelers. I go to bed early due to my job and it can be difficult during a nice summer evening when everyone is out enjoying the weather. I do use it at home and adjust the sound to the evenings events. Would very much recommend this unit as a must have!

Have been using a fan for white noise for over 20 years, and this is better than a fan. Was also easy to pack in suitcase for airplane travel instead of taking a small fan that is not good with whitenoise.
Not what I had hoped for
The device certainly makes noise but does not induce sleep and actually bothers my wife. Our dogs do not like it at all as well, so if you have dogs, beware. We will try another solution.

Puts Me to Sleep!
I was having a lot of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I would keep turning down my central air conditioning, not because I was hot, but because I needed the quiet, steady sound to sleep. It got awfully cold in the house, and I didnt get much sleep having to readjust the air conditioner. Now I just turn on this machine when I get into bed, fall asleep immediately, and stay asleep. If I awake, I drift right off again.

Soothing Noise
This product was purchased as I am an apartment dweller and I have very noisy neighbors all around. It helps somewhat, not as much as I had hoped, but some. I also use it for my dog when I leave her alone with the hopes that the sound will soothe her until I return home.

I have used a sound machine for sleeping for many years. My previous machine quit working, and I was looking for a new one when I spotted this in the Sharper Image catalog. I was impressed when it said it didnt use a digital recording but has its own fan that produces the sound. Digital recordings of sound always seem to have a start and end which can get annoying when trying to get to sleep. This one works beautifully and the sound is consistent throughout. Im extremely pleased with this product and am glad I found it.

I had an Oreck clean air purifier and it played out. Then I had a humidifier and it finally played out. I had about a month of not sleeping well and decided it was the noise I was missing. I an 69 years and I live alone and the quiet drives me nuts. i bought one of the and have had better sleep. the only con is that I ordered it and after I got it I found it on sale for about $23.00 less. Yuk!!!!

Better than a fan
I like this noise machine better than a fan. Fans are getting getting quieter. This noise machine has a nice sound level of white noise. With fans comes air movement. I dont like the air movement during the winter months. I havent traveled with this unit yet, but I think it will be much easier to pack than a fan. This unit is pretty compact.

Very Good Product
We travel a lot and previously carried a bulky white noise machine. This new product fits very nicely into my luggage and does not require a separate carrier. Love this feature and it creates some good noise too.
Love this White Noise Machine!
I was excited to see a product that actually was a real FAN instead of a recorded noise. After trying it out and playing around with the 2 different adjustable options, I found the perfect "sound" that is almost identicle to the sound my rather large real fan makes. This unit is great because its so compact compared to a real fan, and can be packed in a suitcase for travel! My only wishes would be that there is a battery option and perhaps a travel size that is even smaller.

Absolutely Works!
I bought this for my daughter because she cant sleep without a fan on - even in the dead of winter in Wisconsin! This absolutely did the trick. She no longer needs the fan on and since it is portable she can take it with her when she travels. So pleased with the purchase that I am buying one for myself. Fall Asleep Fast
Much prefer this White noise machines to most in the market. Really like the "natural" white noise that the machine creates, rather than the recordings you find on most machines. Have found it great to use at my own home, and take it with me when traveling for work. Great for hotel stays. Well done Sharper Image.
Multi purpose
This little machine will help me in a few ways I hadnt thought of before. First off, it will muffle the sounds of the snoring dog outside my room! I intended to use it to quiet the childrens room from the tv sounds at night. I also found it useful to use in my home/office, keeping business conversations private. I have learned in the past that children hear and repeat things that they should not hear, let alone repeat!

A Life-Saver!
My upstairs neighbors are med students. Their voices are not loud but they make noise day and night just walking across the floor like lumberjacks, dropping backbacks, books, shoes, etc. I was constantly being awakened by late night comings and goings, and sleep deprivation was really getting to me. When I discovered the Multi-Speed Natural White Noice Machine online, I was skeptical. I had tried less expensive models that shut off after 90 minutes or dont provide the sound coverage. But I was desperate and took the chance that it would live up to its hype. WOW! Its phenomenal. I cannot now live without it. It does everything Sharper Image says it will. I can finally get a full nights sleep. It is not the most glamorous or electronically mind-blowing device out there, but I can truthfully say its the BEST purchase Ive made in years.
Excellent Choice
I bought this same noise machine several years ago when my smaller, travel model broke. I use it every night in order to block noise and be able to sleep. It works as described and I could not sleep without it. I bought this one for my sister after she tried it while out of town in a hotel. She loved it so much she made several comments about getting the best nights sleep. She loves her new noise machine! Worth every penny!!
Awesome product
I use this to help me sleep at night. Where I live it is very windy and this helps to drown out the howling wind noise as well as any other street noises. The device is very small and light and it is very easy to adjust to the perfect amount of white noise. So far I havent found any cons to report.

Great for shutting out typical noise if you are trying to sleep during the day. Also good if you are working on a project or for a kid doing homework. Wish it had a timer because once I am asleep sometimes I wake up because of it.

Better than Thundershirt
Our precious dog gets upset and extremely anxious over thunderstorms. We tried a Thunder shirt to no avail. Express shipped this white noise machine and it helped with all but the extremely loud thunder. We have trusted that Sharper Image has always carried the highest quality products and they have never let us down!

Gone to the Dogs
Our dog is afraid of thunderstorms -- particularly those with a lot of thunder. She has a Thunder shirt which does nothing to help her. We will not drug her. Then while at a party and with a storm approaching, I mentioned how afraid she would be and it dawned on me that maybe a white noise machine might help. Low and behold, it does alleviate a lot of her stress. She still hears the really loud, house rattling ones, but we have seen a noticeable difference in her stress level.
Good for a small room
I usually use a fan for outside noise reduction. This little machine gets the job done. Its great for travel. Its hard to pack a fan in a suitcase . This is about the size and weight of a large Yankee candle. It plugs in so no need for batteries . The sound is a perfect blend of white noise, not something prerecorded. I have a small bedroom, and the noise is just enough. In a larger room I dont think it would be loud enough for me.

Ive used white noise machines for years starting in New York in the 1980s. But this machine seems to be the best so far. I havent slept better in years.

It makes the perfect sound
We like to travel but are use to our big fan running year round at home. Therefore when we go somewhere,it goes too. Bulky and hard to pack but a must have to sleep because you can still hear the noises from outside. We were so surprised to see how well this noise machine sounded and so easy to pack! very pleased with it!
A pricey disappointment
Purchased this "sleep" product to help induce sleep. It did not perform this task. The fan, even when on low speed, was excessively loud. Went to bed at 9:00PM. Still awake at 1:30AM! Had to turn the product off to get some sleep.

This white noise machine was perfect for us! We had tried using a radio w/ 6 different sounds (surf, rain, storm, etc); however, these have a 15-second "loop" tape, and we lay in bed listening for the beginning of the loop, instead of relaxing. This machine uses a fan, so there is no looping sound -- only a variable peaceful sound to fall asleep by. The machine is very durable, and the you can adjust the sound volume to exactly what you need to fall and stay asleep. Excellent product!

I like this noise machine so much that I ordered another
I had been using a small fan to have the noise. My nasal passages were getting sensitive (to the air flow) so I switched to the white noise maker. Sinus issue resolved. Though it operates as a fan, it causes little to no air movement. Great Product...Great Sleep!

I was using a fan for white noise which is great but it also blows around dust in the room. All other white noise machines I had previously seen were annoying rain or water falls, etc. This small compact machine takes the place of my 20 inch box fan and does not blow dust around the room. Better than expected!
I have always liked to sleep with some sort of white noise. But fans are bulky and get dusty and blow wind which isnt always desirable. I bought one of these machines and after one nights use I bought three more. One for office so I cant hear voices in the room beside mine, one for my kids room, and one for travel. Its fantastic for hotels to hush the noises outside the room. Highly recommended.
Puts Me to Sleep
I used to keep lowering the temperature on the air conditioner because I couldnt sleep, until I realized it wasnt the coolness I was missing but the steady sound. So I bought this white noise machine, and Ive been sleeping well since (and with fewer blankets, which I imagine saves on electricity bills!).
