Review Content dash cam The camera did not work straight out the box! Had to send it back to the manufacturer. Waiting on a replacement so we will see. Terrific! Easy to use and re-format. Mounted in my car at all times while driving in USA and Mexico! Great compact recorder I travel a lot, for work and pleasure. I have multiple vehicles and this is a quick setup. Love the dual view. Perfect choice use for vacations. Easy to carry dash cam- just installed Easy to turn on and hit record. Not easy to figure out all the little things like install GPS - get it working. Wanted it for piece of mind. havent had it long enough. Nifty New Toy There have been a few times where I witnessed or reported somthing that having video proof would have been very handy. I have only had this a few days and really have not gotten to dig into it much. I am really hoping there is a way to easily off load the videos to a format for computer sharing. The instruction manual could be a bit better but all in all it was worth the $200 so far so good. Awesome fun product! We bought a motor home recently so thought this would be great to use on long trips. My boyfriend also brings it when we works since he works in NYC and there is always plenty of activity going on around there. Serves to locate points of interest not visible while driving. Power button inconveniently placed. Easy to shut unit off when holding unit. Great response to my order I plan to move this camera from vehicle to vehicle as I have several vehicles and depending on my purpose I change from one to another. As American drivers become less considerate I want to insure that their fabrication of facts has an accurate counter. It arrived quickly and on time unlike so many other companies that want 4 to six weeks product is very good but not for my use camera is great many good features but the screen is too small Time will tell. I find the highways have many drivers who are thoughtless of their own safety and other users safety as well. The evidence gathered by this camera may well save one thousands of dollars in damage claims. Owns the Day, but not the Night My own little black box is quite practical with superior video quality, but has a few drawbacks that keep it from being perfect. Observations: NOT SO GREAT: * Screen is bright and clear - this is good news and bad news. During the daylight is easy to adjust lens direction with instant feedback. During the NIGHT screen remains bright and clear to the extent when night driving the device actually blinds you to the road (akin to having the dome light on while driving). BEST REMEDY in current configuration: Cut a 3 x 5" card and tape it to unit and cover display for night driving. * Most autos of current vintage have an auxillary/cigarette lighter port that is "Live" all of the time (key off or key on). In order for me to use this device, I had to buy an adapter that was switched. BEST REMEDY: What this device needs is an ON/OFF switch in the plug. * I believe the instructions cautioned me on this, but this device puts out an electronic signature that manifests itself as a soft high-pitched whi "Good except for the instructions" Great that it records both front and rear views, however, needs a good instruction manual. Camera works; software leaves a lot to be be desired The first unit I got could not keep time properly and gained several seconds a day. After back and forth emails & testing with Info4Sight they then sent me a GPS unit which will auto-set the time. This worked great until the battery completely died. Info4Sight then sent a replacement unit ( I had to send the other one back first. ). Now the replacement unit is working ok, but the GPS unit sucks the battery down while the unit is off. So if youre going to leave the car parked for a while, unplug the GPS unit. The software that comes with this unit only allows you to view the videos with very small screen images. It is kind of amusing to watch your trail on the google map as you watch the video. Saving the videos to .mpg files is cumbersome. The software could use vast improvements to make it better. Like a full screen button for one. So if you have any ideas of using this to document a vacation trip, forget it. However, as a camera to document any traffic accidents it will suffice. As expected So far things are good, havent had a chance to fully utilize it, that will change soon however. this camera is great l It really works great dash cam nice Dual Lens-Dual Protection The product is great. Seems when you drive these days the road full of oblivious idiots who must have taken their drivers exam on line and are still receiving final instructions via cell phone. driving with more comfort now. Great product would buy again! traveling to and from work Changed my mind .. . . its a keeper I use it in traffic every day; I plug it into the cigarette lighter and so it is recording and I think it may deter accidents (somebody is recording you); I at first found it too confounding because instructions are so vague but it is turning out to be so convenient; I keep it out of the sun (while the car is parked outside; the only disadvantage is not being able to recharge it outside the car. No looking over my shoulder again !! I like that you can point the cameras both ways or to the rear also. Easy to remove to hide when parking at the Mall. Just what I needed. The police didnt know whos fault the accident was so he blamed both of us. He said we both crossed the line and collided. Since there are a lot of drivers not paying attention to driving in todays society, this will save you when you say it is the other persons fault. Its a video of exactly what happened...no questions. Quality product Still learning to use it, only because I am not tech savvy. i would buy this product agian I use it in Heavy traffic. auto off and with key.very easy down load. Worth the price of admission! Make sure that this item is fully charged before using as Ive lost 15 minuets of recording when first used in my car. Finally Found What I Was Looking For After hunting for a dash cam for over a year that combined multiple camera angles, GPS tracking, good resolution, on-unit display, looping recording, audio, auto-on/off, ease of download onto a PC, emergency event saving; I have finally found a unit that has all of those features. The use of the GPS requires the purchase of an add-on GPS sensor which is not included. The GPS functionality is not even indicated in the description of the device but it does indeed have the capability. The two cameras rotate to allow for capturing either forward, backward, side views or one of each. Overall this is a great unit. The only slight negative would be a limited instruction book that could be a bit more expansive. Cant speak to the durability since I have only used it on one trip but I would definitely recommend it to a friend. It has a clear color screen.and it doesnt impair your vision because of its compact size.I definitely recommend this device. Seems like a great product I bought this camera as a gif, so I have not used it. But I never buy a gift that I would not buy for myself and I fully plan to purchase one for myself after christmas.
