Review Content I totally recommend this clock to buy This clock is really cute and working well. That is what I was looking for. I love it. Best Night Table Clock I use this terrific Atomic Clock for nighttime bed table alarm clock as well as using it in my motion pictûre production office. And as I get back to traveling, I plan to pack this very accurate clock (this Atomic Clock runs off of perfect time from Colorado). It also has a nice hazy orange glow backlight that helps you get a glimpse of the time; or if you prefer to see the clocks face more clearly, you gently tap on the top button you push and the hazy glow lights-up the face like the brightness of the sun. It runs off of two AA batteries that keeps the clock, the day of the week with the date and your room temperaure perfecly accurate. For the very low price to have a perfect alarm, it will become your favorite bedside clock. "Its my favorite already." Easy to use easy to set very accurate. Much easier than all I can never set the alarms on these clocks This one is very simple to use. Fantastic clock! This travel alarm clock is so compact and so multi-functtional that my husband and I tossed our bedside alarm clocks and ordered two more of these awesome clocks to use as our regular alarms! The Everything Clock This is the perfect clock. It has everything that youd want in a clock. Theres only one minor drawback. If youre hard of hearing, you wont hear the beep alarm. My wife hears it just fine. I was going to return the clock, but I like is so much, I decided to just let my wife wake me after she hears the alarm. I purchased this clock for travel and it will be used a lot. Excellent Traveling Clock Useful clock with the accurate time. Great for everyday use Great alarm that always sets to the right time and auto changes for Daylight Savings. I like the AA batteries vs. earlier versions that required specialized batteries that were much more expensive. Dont by this product Bought as alarm clock for home. Set it when I got it, worked fine. When Daylight savings came in, tried to reset and would not work as supposed to. Emailed SI and received automated reply saying they would get back to me in 48 hours or less. Never heard from them. Called later and talked to person who seemed totally oblivious as to what I was telling her. Asked to speek with a manager and was told manager not available, but would call back within 48 hours. Still have not heard from SI so am writing this to warn others not to order from SI. Apparently they have no customer service and are unwilling to solve their customers problems with the stuff they sell. I have waisted my money and time with this company and have no recourse than to call the BBB and report this. A travel, and home use, alarm clock that gets the job done This clock is really well designed and is just the right size. Terrific Item! This travel clock is ideal for my travel needs. I travel to different time zones which makes the TZ feature absolutely essential. It has all of the additional features that I need as well. I look forward to using it for a long time. Do not know what you want by Headline I loved all the display features , nothing was missing. It was the most difficult clock to set. I would get a time zone then loose it. Could never get the settings I needed, if I did then I would loose them I regret that I returned it because of the difficulty of setting everything I wanted to set. Just what I wanted! My husband needs a clock in front of him at all times...just because. Anyway, this clock was just what the doctor ordered! He likes things with simple, clean lines and easy to use. This little clock fits the bill perfectly! Very nice. Knocked off one star because the DST cannot be turned off. I had to compensate by changing the time zone. Also, the instructions did not state how to change the time zone, though it was "intuitively obvious" once the settings button was pushed (it is the first function). Just perfect in every way. Dont be concerned when you get your clock that it doesnt sync immediately to the Atomic Clock. I manually set mine and then the next day I noticed that the syncing was complete. Pushing the button on the top gives you snooze if you have the alarm set, but it also temporarily turns on a night light so can see the time. If its possible to be "excited" by a travel alarm, this is one to be excited about. Nice clock I needed a clock with seconds display and temperature to replace one that broke. This one had large display and all the functions that I needed. It would have been better if display lit up brighter and if it could have been tilted back a little more than the stationary 90 degrees. Searching for a Replacement for an LL Bean Alarm Clock I had been searching for a replacement to my LL Bean alarm clock, and finally discovered this little marvel. I like that the clock time is always correct (based on the atomic clock in Ft. Collins.) It has a good light and an easy to find snooze button. The clock is fairly substantial, and I feel that it could withstand some abuse. The cover/stand of my LL Bean alarm clock had broken after falling off my nightstand. All in all, it is really just what I was looking for. It performs as advertised, and I wouldnt hesitate to buy them for others. Yes, it is made in China, but I dont think you will find any other options that arent great little atomic clock I have these clocks all over my house. Travel Alarm Clock I really like this atomic alarm clock. It is a must have for anyone who travels. I really like the temperature degree feature offered with this clock. The only thing I would change is the design of the night display option. If you want the background displayed during the night without pressing the display button, you need to flip a switch in the back behind the battery cover which means you need to leave the battery cover off to use this feature or take it off and put it back on each time. Other than that, this is a great product. Nice but not for travel I like this clock and found it easy to set up. I wanted the temp and it does that nicely. I wanted the ability to have backlit at night w/o constant light and it does that too. But it is way too large and heavy for my international travel (and it only has 4 time zones - it is a big world out there)So, nice clock for desk or bedside that should not be billed as travel. It works well for me! Overall, very pleased! Great clock I really like this clock. I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 because you have to turn off the lite by taking off the battery cover. Since I have it in a drawer during the day the auto shut off will not work and the battery will drain. Great travel clock This may be the ideal travel alarm clock: large display, easy to set and back light that can be set to automatically switch on when the ambient light dims. The clock set automatically by radio signal from the atomic clock but I needed to manually adjust the time zone. I havent tested the alarm yet. Its a little larger than Id like in a travel clock. It also feels like it might be cheaply constructed but time will tell. I also dont know what the battery life will be like with the nightlight turned on so I will need to keep a spare set of AA batteries when I travel. Because of its large, easy-to-read visual display, I no longer have to fumble with my glasses to check the time when I wake up at night. The display has plenty of useful information - the time, the time the alarm is scheduled to go off, date, time zone, even the temperature. Its relatively easy to set up and use, and the clock changes automatically when Daylight Savings Time begins and ends, which came in handy this past weekend. Its the perfect size for next to my bed, the lighting is great (you can have a dim light or no light at all, but if you press the light/snooze button, a light will come on so you can see the time in the middle of the night). I was thinking Id use it just for travel, but with our power going out every now and then, Im keeping it on my bedside table as a back up. I love the fact the backlight doesnt come on until it senses its needed. I have to switch the backlight on and off on my other travel clock, which I dont always remember to do. The one thing Id like to see different is that its pretty bulky - not so bad I cant tuck it into my suitcase, but a bit bulkier than Id like. Does what expected in way I want For a while I wanted another battery operated large number clock that took the time from the atomic clock signal. I can see it clearly while working or when others come in my office for a meeting, it always has the right time, and without wires I can place it on my desk in my line of sight between my chair and visitors. In travels, it is more visible and reliable than hotel clocks or friends guest rooms. It does what I want. Anyone wanting to minimize size or weight for travel can clearly see from dimensions and weight that it might not fit that need, and in a suitcase you cant shut off the buttons. But these are unrelated and irrelevant to why I bought this clock. I cant comment on battery drain, durability or other factors since Ive only had it a month or so. But it is a welcome product that serves an important need not met by other portable clocks Ive tried. Dependable Clock I looked for something with a dependable company name on it...China has bought up so many old names and the products are junk. My clock has worked well since I got it, and except for being a little thin [the plastic] I have no complaints so far. The best travel clock ive ever seen I bought 3 of them, 2 for gifts This is my second travel clock from Sharper Image and I love Best little clock ever. I purchased one of these little gems about 15-20 years ago and loved it for its compact design and the backlight to see the time in the middle of the night. The light gave out several years ago but my little clock is still taking away. This newer one is larger than the previous one but is easy to set and very quiet (no "tick-tick tick-tock" sounds). A touch on the top produces a golden glow that allows me to check the time in the dark. Great Travel Alarm with Large Numbers! We bought this for travel, but have used it at home! Its an excellent time keeper, with large numbers and a momentary light for "during the night" reading. The size and weight are excellent for travel. Havent dropped it yet so i dont know how sturdy it is. I wish the outside edge was rubberized (like a cell phone case) to take the shock of dropping it because i know it will get dropped. Best travel alarm I could find I bought this as a nightstand clock to replace a small Radio Shack clock when its light stopped functioning. I searched the internet for a replacement but couldnt find one that had all the features the RS had, including the radio control clock, the nightlight and the clock light, and that had an easy to read display. The Sharper Image clock is much more larger and more attractive than the RS clock it replaces. It therefore looks nicer in the bedroom setting and is easier to use. Simply tapping the hard to miss button on the top of the clock turns on the light for a few seconds without the risk on knocking it off the table in the middle of the night. The light, by the way, is a soft orange that wont blind you in the dark. While I was initially resistant to spending so much on a little clock, Im glad I did. The clock was easy to set up and synced without issues. Batteries lasted from 28Feb2015 when I purchased the clock until 16Aug2015. The low level light switch was turned on the entire time. The low level light turns on when the room darkens, if the clock is left in a drawer you can expect decreased battery life. The amber, low level light is just right for a nightstand and the design, weight and size of the clock is substantial enough that it wont get knocked over easily. If the low level light bothers you simply turn the clock 90 degrees. I plan to buy this clock for every room in my house. I mounted mine with HD Velcro to the side of my 3D wood bed so all i have to do is reach up to see the clock at night without a light on 24/7 in the area. I would like to have seen a Sharper digital display personally for the price, but it is Okay. As the directions suggest, we put them both on a window sill to sync with radio signals for the time overnight. One clock worked perfectly, and the other had a hard time picking up the signal. We were eventually able to pick up the signal by changing windows, and it is fine now. I like this clock because it is small and can be used for travel, easy to use, has a loud alarm and has a backlight that isnt too bright. This property was not clearly stated on the sales web-page. Manual time-zone mode is cumbersome, to change time-zones one needs to scroll through other settings as well. They do warn you that this is a delicate clock, not to be thrown around or just tossed in a suitcase. I would keep this one in my carryon.
