This was just what I wanted. So far works wonderful. Easy controls and easy to use. I love that it can run all night and keep going. So if I wake up it helps me go back to sleep. Better than most The only thing that keeps this white noise machine from being near perfect is that it needs to be plugged into a power source- it would have been nice to be able to operate it via battery power as a wall outlet isnt always convenient when traveling. The speaker is ok, but even at full volume may not mask some outside noises- using earphones would solve that issue, but can be uncomfortable when sleeping. The different tones of white noise feature is very useful, as every offending noise you might want to mask will have a different frequency. Good features for the most part, so it is recommended! really good product Always use white noise for a sleeping aid. Love the small size of the machine, the economical cost, and especially love the simple operation. There is no ticking sound in the background of the white noise, so there is no irritation or distraction. Have had other sleep aid machines, one really expensive one with too many options. This modern day version of a white noise machine is perfect - I cant say enough about it. It looks great, has great white noise sound (10 different tones) and the ability to plug into my laptop. It was perfect for my last hotel stay where I had some noisy high school students in the next room. I can see this being great for students as they can block out distracting noise while studying and listen to music from their mobile phone when they want to relax. My only negative comment is that Sound Oasis should include adapters for overseas travel. I do not see any available to purchase. Fast shipping! Best white noise machine out there! I like the variety of white noise sounds. There are 5 white noise styles that are fairly different from one another. Some of the selections are the same as others. Other white noise machines out there only have one setting which is loud and annoying to people who unfortunately have to hear it for hours while the user is behind a closed door. I bought two with a buy one get one half price offer. One broke within a month, so I sent back for an exchange of same product. In the meantime the other one broken. When I got the exchanged item back of the first one, I received what I believe to be the same broken product I had returned. I called SI and they issued me a credit for both products. Dont waste your money on this one. Sleep aid Ive used this type unit for 30 years and mine wore out. This is an improvement over my old models. Returning both of them! I bought 2 of these machines for my grandsons to take on a trip we will make together. They tried them out. One worked for only 2 nights and then quit working. Neither of the machines would produce more than one sound, and you advertised 10 different sounds and levels. They only produced one white noise sound. They are flimsy and appear cheaply made. Would not recommend. Pure White Noise Machine If only the White Noise Machine and the MP3 Player, that is connected and playing music would shut off at the same time...when set to 30-120 minute shutdown interval, it would be a blessing! While this product certainly works and provides white noise, its really not much more than a speaker that blasts static full bore. Our Second White Noise Machine I liked the first one so much that I ordered a second just to make sure I would have a spare. My husband and I are both sleeping better. Sleep with gentle noics This device is to replace another one for which the switch failed. The on/off switch on this product is flimsy, and I am afraid it will break with nightly use. An external switch will not work to turn it on, as it requires using the device switch. I connected an external switch to turn it off. If the switch goes, the device will be useless Very blocking out those negative Noise, I do like this product, live on a very noisy block, with this White sound blocks out those unwanted sounds. Plus it make anyone feel that inner peace. Works great I bought two, one for each of my kids rooms. These block out the noise from the rest of the house so we dont have to worry about waking the kids at night. We used to use fans, but all the air blowing around made their rooms very cold at night, especially in the night. These are smaller and the sound is very similar to the sound of a fan. The volume control is great, it goes from very very quiet, to much louder than the fans we were using. I have not noticed any difference in the kids sleeping since switching from the fans and so they must be working:) As a bonus I dont have to worry about small fingers poking at the fans anymore either. I only have two downfalls. These are a lot more expensive than the fans (which Im hoping wont be a big deal because the fans kept wearing out and Im hoping these will last longer) and the way the USB cable connects to the plug is set up in a weird configuration that makes for a very bulky plug at the outlet. I bought this to cover up street noise so my dog wont wake up and bark at night - does a pretty good job, but I find that the volume has decreased during the night - others had pointed this out as a product flaw but I took my chances anyway.
