Environment friendly
I was using this air purifier for about a week . I like the attractive design and the blue light which glows in the dark. It works great as an air purifier. I am not sure about the air freshener because I dont smell anything when I add the recommended 2-3 squirts. I like the smell of both eucalyptus and lavender concentrate and was hoping that my room will smell the same. I will try to put in more and see what happens.
What I dont like- it makes quite a bit of noise so if you are planning to use it at night like me it may be a problem . I use it during the day only.

I Love this little air purifier, room air freshener. Its very attractive with its blue light in the motor, & it really does a great job of pulling dust & impuritys from the air.
Id recommend this product to any one looking for a small space air purifier.

The air purifier is easy to set up, just fill with water and plug it in. I also love the essential oils you can add for fresher smelling air. As I am a smoker I have it in the bedroom and there is no smoke smell anymore. Great product.

NO FILTERS TO BUY OR CHANGE - thank goodness. Runs on water & it works. the scented oils they include didnt smell good so I run it with just water to get the stink out of the air - thats whatI bought it for. Its been a week & I notice a difference. I ordered a 2nd one. They are meant for small areas (small rooms). It makes too much noise to sleep with it on. Its not a jackhammer loud but I think only someone used to noise (lives in a large city for example) could sleep through the noise that this machine does make.

Great Concept
This purifier remains in my kitchen and has truly improved the air quality in that room and beyond. Its a little noisy but doesnt bother me or my family. This little product is easy to clean and I will be buying 1 or 2 more.
Beautiful look but too big noise
I tried in my new borns nursery room. Its pretty, but the fan makes big noise. After a night, I smelled the room dusty. I dont know why. It suppose to clean the air, not pollute the air. I cant risk the baby by trying it again. I returned it.
I think it works
I think this helps pull cigarette smoke out of the air. I let friends smoke in my place and when I run one of these in each room, I dont notice the smell when I come into the apt.
The clear water I put in it turns cloudy over the course of the day so I think that also says its helping.
They are fairly loud. Like running a fan.
I think the water needs changing every 12 hours or so. It definitely goes down to the minimum line in that time.
Changing the water is quick and easy.

I didnt expect much from this little air purifier but after we got it I was pleasantly surprised. Within one day of using in our bedroom the air felt clean. Its been helping with allergies this fall and I notice less visible dust in the air.

Unfortunately, I started smoking again and wanted an air purifier to help with the smell of smoke in my home and office, (also in my home.) Read the great reviews and gave this one a try. Love it so much that I bought a second one for my home office. It makes it so you cannot smell smoke at all in my home and I must admit I am a heavy smoker. Love the essential oils as well! Great product, would highly recommend!

Great product for freshening and purifying the air, lives up to every bit of the description on the website . Classroom of students
I am a teacher and I use this in my classroom. My students and I just love it. It creates such a neat atmosphere in the room by creating such fresh clean air. Plus it reduces the spread of germs in the classroom - helping to keep everyone healthy!! The aromatherapy drops just add to the pleasure. My students enjoy orange lemon and grapefruit the most. Completely recommend this product. I cant imagine not loving it

The washing noise is noticable and while the scent is nice I am not sure it freshened the air. My boyfriend didnt think so. Futuristic blue lit look. I like how comact it is.

I bought exclusively to help with the smell and residual effects of my smoking
being a smoker I wanted something to reduce/eliminate the odor from smoking at first I wasnt happy probably from expecting too much of this product and I did not see or smell immediate outstanding results but after changing the water I was surprised to say the least in how much nicotine was in the water by sight and cleaning the bowl by hand and seeing the yellow nicotine residue on the sides of the bowl itself.
I felt compelled to write and say it does work.
now adding the scents its an added bonus I wasnt looking for.the movement and lighting effect are also very cool
it only drawback I find is its alittle noisier then id like but its on my desk in close proximity. in the rest of my apartment I dont notice it as much. I still havent ran it all night as im not sure what will happen if the water level gets to low

I really like this
This really does take the smoke smell out of the air in my home. I run it all day while at work and when I get home it doesnt smell like cigarettes in here. It is a little noisy, but since it removes the odors I am okay with the noise level.

Best air purifier I have owned.
I suffer severely from dust allergy and have tried several air cleaners before. I noticed after using the lighted water/air purifier for a few days, my allergy to dust is not as severe as before. I will buy a second unit for my bedroom.

This is so easy!! I hate filters and cleaning. I usually dont keep that up} Fill it-turn it on-refill it turn it on love it. Ive only had it 2 mos.The design is attractive, the blue light looks cool, and the noise is a swishy beach sound! It would be a good sound machine.I really dont see the water get cloudy, but the air is "fresh" Works in the kitchen-I dont have a fan. I didnt smell chicken for hours. Its really neat!

Absolutely love this product!
We bought 3 of these air purifiers for each bedroom of our house. However after we first started using them, we rotated them to other parts of the house during the day. These keep our house smelling great when we use the essential oils in them and when you change the water, you can actually see that it is working! We will be buying another one to put in our kitchen! Would recommend these to any and everyone!

Got this for the bedroom. Nice style and white noise helps get to sleep. Love the night light/lamp feature. The scented oils are a nice touch. I dont think it works as well as a filtered design but I can tell its doing something. Worse case scenario you get a good light and water show.

Looks Like the Ocean in a Storm
Wish it was larger. Have to fill water every day. It is almost beautiful with the Blue water rushing around like the Ocean in a Storm. To rid area of pet odors it is wonderful. I put perfume in the water for an aroma I love. I hope it lasts a long time and dosnt stop working or have light burnout like most lite water decorations I have had.

As one who suffers from allergies, I decided to purchase the lighted water air purifier and freshener. What a difference a few hours of this neat item sitting on my desk made! Not only does it work as advertise, it also garnered many compliments! I wanted to purchase a few of the scented drops, but felt they were a tad too expensive. Upon opening the box (which arrived within two days - most economical shipping method), there were two bottles of the freshener drops. Such a nice surprise! Even if they were not included, without a doubt this item is a great value - so much so, that Ive decided to purchase another one for home.

I bought one for the family room and one for a home office. I will buy another for my husbands workshop. We smoke indoors so we wanted to reduce smoking and cooking odors. I dont know how but this little unit seems to work pretty well. The style fits our décor. Its not quiet but doesnt bother us. About as loud as an indoor water fountain.

I bought this because of the great reviews and the general concept. Was looking for something to replace too-noisy Hepa machines. The soft swish of the water is great, and it is already obvious that it is improving the air in two of the three rooms of my home. Use in office and living area. Buying another for bedroom, may purchase a second to make sure my large living area is fully covered. Definitely recommend! Easy to use, and fun too!

The air purifier works perfectly. We use the air purifier primarily in the bedroom at night and operate it in the kitchen when we cook. The controls are simple, power can turned on and from a cord on the switch. The unit also has a on off switch. The unit does generate some noise but is not loud enough to keep the wife awake. We are thinking of buying another one for our daughter.
amazing performance for size
we use this in our home to gather cigarette/cigar smoke. The only thing I can see that I dont like about this product is that I cannot figure out how to clean the funnel inside. I dont think it was meant to come apart and its getting dirty inside from cigar smoke I presume. Very easy to function just dump water everyday and refill... love the scent oils too
Just Perfect!
This was a Christmas gift for my husband, a cigar smoker. He uses it in his home office and it works like a charm. Its attractive, simple to use and functional. The Sharper Image had a short survey on their website to determine my needs and recommended an Air Purifier based on my specific needs. I sure am glad this is the one they recommended!
It works very, very well
Ours works perfectly. I have it placed on a table in the corner of my elderly mothers bedroom, near her bathroom. I fill it each evening before bedtime with the lavender scent to create a restful ambiance.
It reminds me each evening of my experience staying at a five-star hotel room during trips to Bangkok. The maid would come into the room in the early evening to light a candle under a ceramic dish with scented oil on top and it was heavenly.
I create the same ambiance for Mom every evening and she sleeps like a baby.
And even better, it absorbs odors, such as what may come from the kitty litter box, flushing the air clean. The soft swishing sound produces a muted,soothing sound and the subtle light in different colors produces visual tranquility.
This is a marvelous air purifier and freshener, indeed!
Love love love
My youngest has bad allergies and my oldest has trouble sleeping through the night. This air purifier does not only clean the air but also works and a night light and the water sound helps my girls sleep better. I highly recommend!!!

I love to watch this vaporizer, especially with the blue light on. It also works well in larger rooms.
The only con is even though it gets wiped out each time, a film is starting to form on the sides which, could be from the hard water or the use of my own essential oils. Its okay now, but might not look so hot in the future.

This is the best air purifer. Ive had this purifier for over a year now (use everyday) in the bedroom and our bedroom is consistently a lot less dusty, less doggy (we have 2 dogs) and fresh! I am allergic to mold and as long as you give this time to dry out each day (when I go to work), no mold develops. I do take a toothbrush to it every few months to get some scale off. And, the room has more moisture in the air now!
Mostly satisfied
I purchased this for my yoga studio to keep the air fresh and the add essential oil for aroma therapy. The fresh part is good. It is not as effective as I had hoped to dispense the oils and keep the room fragrant. I can say it looks good, sound is a little loud but that is OK it is whirling to circulate the air and clean it. NOT recommending it as a good diffuser for scent.

This is a great product to have if you have pets and dont like to dust often. Ive had this product for a week and have not dusted yet. You really see the dirt in the water that was collected the next day. You will have to change the water daily. Other than that its a great product.

I saw this air purifier in a message they sent me. Im a stickler for clean smelling house. I have 2 small dogs inside, and just didnt want it to get that "doggy" smell. I read the reviews and ordered one. After having it about 2 hours, I ordered another! I have one in the living room and the other in my bedroom. I love these! You add the scented oil, or use your own, and just turn it on. You dont have to use any scents if you prefer not to. The blue light makes it very appealing. I run these 24/7. You just put in clean water the next day. Thats it! I turn the light off when I leave for work. Everything smells so fresh. Just love it.

Works great with my asthma
We can see how much it is cleaning the air by the discoloration of the water we dump out. It must be just the correct amount of water emission as it doesnt affect my asthma adversely. No more sparks and static. Makes the room seem warmer with moisture in the air.

The Freshest Air
I bought the unit to provide fresh air and eliminate odors in my bedroom, because my dog sleeps next to my bed, and it does a wonderful job at both. The unit provides just the right amount of light in case I decide to get up in the middle of the night and keeps me from running into something unexpectedly. The noise the unit makes also blocks any unwanted noise from both inside and outside the house. I use my unit every night and love everything it provides!!!

Fresher air and sleeping better
We have two, one in the kitchen and one in our bedroom. We use essential oils in them too!! For our kitchen this air freshener helps eliminate food odors and in our bedroom we just love the soft humming sound for white noise and we sleep so much better.
Glad I took the chance! Amazing Choice
Took a chance on this product and glad I did. For medical reasons, I was looking for a smaller more portable air purifyer. I already have an Oreck but cant really take it with me... and it doesnt work as well! I plugged this in my bedroom and added some of the Eucalyptus drops. I bought the Cinnamon also. It ran for the night, and the next morning, I realized that I was not blocked up as I usually am, and had no headache which were frequent. Have used it every night and still feel the same. Asked a visitors opinion and was told as soon as they walked in, they could notice the difference. It would be nice if it held more water, but I wont take away a star for that. It is easy, not very noisy, and most importantly, it works amazingly well for such a small product. Hope it helps others as much as it has me.

The purifier is great. The scents werent any good. Went to a place here and bought some new scents and it worked great. Sorry but your scents didnt cut it.

Fun to use.
This is fun to use. When on, it is a little bit noisy and travels from the vibrations. I put it on a cute silicone flat potholder and now it stays put. It is great for all those essential oils I have. The blue light is very attractive.

I have a small machine that uses water & essential oils (as does this) but it doesnt clean the ait. This one uses the same but does clean the air and the water in the machine lasts much longer.

I love this air purifier
I love this little blue ball! My bedroom smells and feels cleaner thanks to this purifier. I just simply add water and my favorite lavender scent and let it do its job. At the end of the day the proof is in the water as it is cloudy with smoke and other things. I will be buying more of these to give as presents.

fragrances are not what i expected
I like the LED light which could also be used as a night life. You can also add eucalyptus for a full of fragrance in your space. fragrances are not what i expected, though.
It does a good job cleaning the air. I find that sometimes it rattles, which is annoying.
Overall, Im happy with it and will continue to use it for as long as it works.

I love this product and when I didnt follow instruction and put the bowl in the dishwasher, sharper image replaced the whole air purifier. I have three running in my house right now and love them.

Have use it for three days and you can notice the difference and the apartment smell fresh. Caution not. The spinning motion of the water inside the bowl make the machine slide along smooth surfaces. If its on a small table it could fall. I place mine on a rubber matt to prevent it from sliding and falling. Other than that, great little air freshener.

I use it in my office and the white noise it provides is welcome. Its attractive and I think it helps the air quality, though I love natural lavendar, the lavendar scent smelled artificial. Ive use it for several weeks, 8-10 hours/day and so far so good. I actually like it enough to consider putting it in my bedroom for a low level night light and white noise to sleep by.
Better than expected
Bought this as a gift for my wife for xmas because she wanted it. I was skeptical how well it would work because of its size, but it does an amazing job of keeping 2 rooms clear of odors from our 2 large dogs. Will buy another one for our basement. Only downside is it needs cleaned every couple days.

The magic of small.....
This is a great little machine. Its just limited to a small room. It makes a great air freshener, & would be a great night light for a childs room as the light in the motor shines a soft blue color. I would recommend this product to any one looking for a small air freshener but not for humidification. As We dont have it run at night because it is a little bit noisy. But the air quality is noticeably better.
Perfect for my needs
I read the reviews of this and found it appealing that the water makes sound, as I love the sound of water moving. While I have no idea if it actually cleans the air, I love the light scent of the included oils. I find the sound and scent very soothing. Would definitely recommend.

I bought three of three air filters for Xmas presents...I gave myself one.
On arrival I opened mine and set it up. It was cite and looked good at first glance. I immediately put it together and set it by my bed...yikes! I couldnt believe how loud it was! I turned it off because it was so annoying....:(((
Then I reluctantly wrapped the other two to give to my kids, thinking of telling them about how we could return them and get something else, I was in a time crunch and leaving for their homes for Xmas the next morning. When they opened them and announced how awesome a gift it was, I decided to let them decide for themselves. I knew they would let me know how they were later.
When I returned home, my daughter said she loved hers! What???
I then tried mine out again, but this time in the living room, setting it on the rug....it didnt make any loud noises! So I guess the trick is to put them anywhere but a hard surface, therefore they work pretty darn good! I leave mine on 24/7. Works great and smells nice

I have this air cleaner in my master bedroom. I have noticed that the furnishings near the device stay more dust free than the ones across the room, so I know its working. I leave it on 24 hours a day and the soft swooshing noise doesnt bother me. I like the pretty blue light. The directions said to use tap water, however within a week there was hard water build-up on the sides of the bowl, so I switched to distilled water. It only requires a little water, but I do need to add water once or twice a day if the level is low. I plan on buying another one.

I use this product in every room of the house. The water, that absorbs the dust, must be changed out every day for there to be enough water in the bowl. When you change the water you can see the amount of dust it has absorbed, which is very impressive. My allergies have been significantly reduced by the use of these. Another added bonus--no dust filters or elements to clean, you just dump out the old water containing all the dust and refill the bowl! I would definitely recommend this product!

Small and efficient
Had it for a month now and I love the sound it makes while working. It sounds like the oceans waves. It works well because I have a smoke free home with two dogs, and I still have to empty it daily. Not really dirty water, but hazy. Makes me feel like it must be working. I love this machine.
replacing the worn out
This was a replacement. Hers had run non-stop for years and stopped working. It is located in the bathroom of her assisted living apartment (made the move from home with her). We think it really helps and is no trouble to maintain. It originally fascinated everyone and became known as "The Lighted Orb." There was no question; it would be replaced.

It does a great job of scenting the air for awhile but I bought it thinking if was going to clean the air and eliminate dust.
Nice and Relaxing
The air seems refreshed when its on whether using the essential oils or not. I use it in the bedroom at night and it creates a lovely white noise to sleep to. The blue glow is nice, however I wouldve liked it to be quieter so I could use it in another space in the house.

I purchased 3 Lighted Water Air Purifier and Fresheners as gifts for Christmas to give to my brothers and sisters. I also purchased one for my parents. I read the instructions and set up the one for my parents. I added the Lavender oil to the water per the instructions. In less than a minute you could smell the lavender scent. We left the unit running for a few hours. The lavender scent was pleasant and noticeable in the large family room in which it was set up. It seems to work great. I was not at home long enough to judge the job this device does on cleaning the air, but it certainly makes the air in the room smell better.

Between four cats and cigarette smoke figured one out of two would be the best I could hope for. When one of my sons came into the house his comment was "Did you get rid of your cats and did you give up smoking - not hit in the face with either of the smells"! Cant ask for anything any better than that.

I will not recommend this product. It needs improvement with the oils. Oils are not so fragrant to freshen the air.
Great Little Air Purifier
Great little machine - seems to clean air very well in our bedroom. Change water frequently and it is ALWAYS cloudy which signals to me that it is working. Noise level is not bothersome at all. Neither is the blue nightlight. Use most nights as my husband comes to bed later than I because hes retired.

Great concept
I used this for a few weeks and loved the simple design and soothing scent. Sadly it vibrated so much it fell off my table.The inside center plastic piece broke off and I was able to fix it and got it working again. However, it now makes a really loud sound that is far from soothing. Contemplating returning and replacing.
Good product for the price
I bought two of these to help freshen the air in a vacant house I have listed for sale and they really seemed to help. I chose this model because there is no need to buy filters. One of them has a tendency to vibrate and "walked" itself off a counter top so now I put a towel under it to keep it steady. The other doesnt move.
My only complaint is not with the product but with the shipping. I paid $31 for "next day" shipping on a Friday and received the item on the following Wed. evening. I will not be selecting next day shipping ever again.

Design Suggestions
As an air purifier, the unit seems to do its job. However, the swirling water causes the unit to vibrate and "walk" across a smooth surface. (To keep it stationary, I stuck three little rubber feet on the bottom.) Also, in a dry environment, the water volume decreases from Max to Min in two or three hours. It would be good if the water chamber had a fill spout so water could be added more easily using a funnel.
Something Unique
I use this product in my living room about 600 sq. ft. to take away the smoke from the fireplace which sometimes the wood can be a little smelly. It seems to do what it suppose to do which is a good thing! I keep it running as long as I am home cause if not the water will evaporate (would burn the motor up I would guess),something I dont think I would want to try. As the book read it has a light on it so the nice thing about this too at any room or area that you put this in and the room is somewhat dark its like a night light too. Just make sure you do keep the water level at the max. and I dont think their any other thing to do but sit back and watch this blue ball and relax!! Oh make sure you turn off the blue light with the motor cause if you dont water will go every were.......one more thing I really like is the oil that can be used to sweeten the air, certainly is a nice way to keep the room smelling wonderful it comes with two small 2ozbut I got the cinnamon scent, very refreshing! I put the Lighted Water Air Purifier on a table in the corner of the living room about a week ago. It has a pleasant blue light you can turn on and the water swirls in the clear tank. After using it for less than a day, my Aussie mix, who has suffered with itching for the past 4-5 months, stopped scratching. He has been on numerous antihistamines but nothing really eased his itching like this air purifier. The purifier must be pulling something out of the air that he is allergic to, but I sure dont know what. I change the water daily, some days it is cloudy, some days it is not. I do wish the motor was a little quieter, but the noise is a small price to pay for the relief our dog is experiencing.

I use this in the living room. It gives the air a nice clean, crisp smell. It also is quite nice if you use the essential oils that came with it. My only complaint is I can no longer get the essential oils out of the bottles. I tried shaking the bottles...nothing. I tried tapping the bottles...nothing. I thought at first it was just the one bottle but then it happened to the other one also. Am I doing something wrong? I have other essential oils (different brand) and this was never an issue. Strange...

Works well however, scented oil that is included comes out of bottle axdropbat the time. Instructions state to use 2-3 drops of oil, but in my opinion, it takes far more than 2-3 drops of oil to cover a room

I initially purchased this to use in the yoga studio while I taught yoga; however, it arrived in perfect timing as we just had countertops installed in our home and the epoxy smell was intense! It lingered for days. So I brought my new air purifier in the house and within 30 minutes the smell was gone. Ive used some oils in it as well and the scent it gives off is perfectly subtle. Im enjoying this product so far and satisfied with my purchase.

I placed the unit in my kitchen. Everyone asks what it is and everyone is impressed by the design and the quietness of the unit. I only wish the scent would come in more scents and larger bottles of it.

This is the cheapest in cost but dont let that fool you! I have tried several products to clean and freshen the air in my home-and this one works the best. I would definitely recommend this product for all you allergy and asthma sufferers!
Most products like this say to clean daily, which I usually ignore, but this product really does need to be cleaned frequently or it gets a build up residue.
However, at its cost, it is easily replaced if the residue takes over.
I hardly ever cleaned my first one and it lasted a year and a half.
Average at Best
The fact that product needs water to be constantly refilled, it makes it very inconvenient. You cannot leave it running over night or even for a few hours because water level quickly gets lower than it should be.
Also, I dont think its doing what it supposed to. I havent felt that the air is fresher or purified in my kitchen. It is so small and even the lotions we put in does not create a nice smell in the kitchen for an extended period of time. I would not recommend buying this product.

Bought this for use at the office where I was sneezing a lot. I was not expecting a lot, but within two hours of plugging it in, noticed that I had not sneezed once. Also felt like my nasal passages had "unblocked"! Just ordered one more for the house and one for my mom.

I work 10 hour shifts a day so it always bugs me to have to come home and clean and then re-change the air filter and what-not after getting off work just to have a clean smelling room to sleep in. This water-air filter is super convienent and works really well, because all I need to do is fill it with tap water and add the scent extract if I want too. Granted I have to re-fill it every night, but that doesnt bother me since I keep it turned of all day when Iam at work. And it takes about 20 seconds to pour out the old water, wipe it off and then re-fill it. FYI- The actual power switch is the wheel switch on the plug! Its not the slide switch on the unit, thats just a light. Took me a few minutes to notice since Im more of the type to put it together and figure it out as I go rather than look at the directions.

Small product does big job!
I have two good sized dogs in a small (under 1,000 FT) house in Phoenix, AZ. Due to the heat, you cant always air the house out. This product does a great job of keeping my main room "fresh". It is very easy to use. The only drawback Ive had is that it is a bit noisy, but we all got used to that quickly. A friend did comment that it looks like something from the sixties...

I used the previous version for years, love the results. This is great (just wish it was as big), and really does give the house a fresh scent in a short time. I purchased the air purifier for my mother (and me). Shes unable to take over the counter allergy meds and needed something to help her with her severe alergy triggers. Within two (2) days we realized the purifier was worth its weight in goal. An added bonus is the option of adding scented oils to the water. Two (2) lovely oils come with purifier, however I purchased oils from another retailer, (the included oils dont last very long). Clearly, I love this purifier and so will you. You will nit regret this purchase.

I love this. I like that you can turn the blue light on or off. I use it at night in my room as I sleep, for 2 reasons, one to clean the air, 2 to give me white noise to help me sleep and the blue light is off. During the day I keep the light on cause I simply like how it looks. I bought 4 of these. One for me and the rest were Christmas gifts. My dad had a double lung get transplant, and he was never a smoker, so it made a great gift for him.

Bought two of these for my daughter and myself to sleep in purified air. It does in fact purify the air and the change has been noticeable within minutes. We sleep better and wake up with clear nose and not sneezing. I also love the fact that it is very easy to use with water and love the scent from the oils.
My cons is that it is bit noisy. I guess if you like the sound of water, supposedly it helps you relax and sleep better. We are use to no noise. It isnt a big deal, just something to get use to.

During the winter months in Salt Lake City, the inversion can cause breathing problems. This air purifier has been a blessing. It also removes orders in the air and if quality essential oils are added it will defuse it into the air. Finally, in a dry climate like Utah, it adds moisture to the air. I can feel a difference when it is going. I even seem to sleep better when it is running. While running it sounds like a noise canceling machine as well and I admit it drowns out the noises from neighbors. It is like having many machines in one.

True Blue
I initially used the product in my kitchen when I found I had an odor that was causing my eyes to burn. Within about 20 minutes the odor and burn had dissipated. I now use it in my bedroom during the day (while Im not using bedroom as I find the whirring sound a bit annoying)in the hope that it will help eliminate the dust that accumulates there more so than other rooms. Not sure it is accomplishing that as well as the odor issue mentioned above.

I use this to control dust and also to freshen the air. Do not notice the freshener smell unless you are close to it while it is running.
Didnt work like I hoped
Bought to help clear the air & add fragrance because we have 2 dogs. I could only smell the oils when I first added them to water. Couldnt tell that it made a difference in anything. Was very excited when I got it out of the box but after 2 weeks very disappointed. Plan on returning it & keep looking for what I need.
Cleaner air is great
Even with smokers in the room, this neat little machine is able to clean the air and make it much more hospitable to all that visit. We had researched many air cleaners and this one came out on top by a long shot. Quiet and efficient is exactly what is needed and found with this machine.

I love this product. The noise from the machine sounds like our Dohm sound conditioner. Very easy to sleep with this running. We have it running it our 2 yr olds bedroom as a night light and sound machine. It does A great job as an air purifier. Without using the sample oil scents, it emits a fresh pure water smell to the air. The water from just running the machine over night is already cloudy - pulling out air impurities. Very easy to clean. Going to buy another for our room and maybe more as Christmas gifts.
Smell the difference
Ive used this in every room in the house and it works great. Used it in the basement which is a wide open space about 1200 sq ft. It does not work as well, but in the description they do provide info saying up to 600 sq ft.. A good buy!!
No Difference
I have the product plugged in 24/7; Ive been using it for a week. Other than the pretty blue water and it being a conversation point I havent seen any change in the air. I would think if the product was working the way it was described the water would need to be changed frequently. I never have to change the water its never dirty; I just keep adding water. I was really excited thinking it would help my husband with his asthma by cleaning the air. Im not pleased. Dont waste your money.

I love the blue color the water mister has. The only problem is that as the water level starts to get low it makes a lot of noise. I wouldnt recommend it for sleeping areas. I keep it in my kitchen. Other wise its great.

Weve owned the product for about two weeks. Thus far the air purifier and freshener works very well. We especially appreciate the fact that it moisturizes the air, in our bedroom, while we sleep, which is important to us. We keep it approximately 10+ feet from the bed.
The directions should be updated, however. Nowhere on the accompanying paperwork was the length, of time the unit could safely operate, without refilling mentioned. That was worrisome. I called Sharper Image and spoke with two representatives that could not find the answer to that question, for me. I was not called back, as promised I tested it myself, and it was almost full, in the morning.
It works!
I have set this up in the living room and I can tell within 10 minutes of turning it on that the air is fresher. It also adds a little humidity to the air. Even without the essential oils it makes the room smell cleaner. The only drawback is the noise. It does have a fan and it does swoosh the water around very quickly so there is some noise.

I love these globes. They truly clean the air, and my home is odor free. I liked the first two I purchased so much, I purchased two more, so that all of the living areas in my home have sufficient filtration.
I love the compact nature of these, plus the great price point. Though if I have one complaint, its a minor one. I wish these came in a second, slightly larger version. The small size is great for my desk (home office), but I have to refill each of my four machines twice a day as the water level runs lower than expected.
Small issue though, given how happy I am, how much better I breathe, and how much easier it is to clean my home as the globes are picking up some of the impurities that were landing on furniture and floors. And as I dont even have plants, watering twice a day is a snap... and well-worth the benefits!

I am allergic to everything! So I bought some little birds for my Dad because he missed going out doors.They are worse than rabbits .My cute 4 birds have turned into 60 and let my tell ya......BIRD DUST.My new wonder water purifier sucks it right out of the air and I can breath better...not to mention dust less.Thank-you for such a wonderful product.

I have an original Homedics Brethe.It is larger but uses the same principles. The new model is smaller but seems to be effective. New model has an on off switch on the cord which is convenient. I live in a dry, dusty climate so feel the purifier is necessary.Love the blue light which has a separate on off switch.
This unit comes with 2 small bottles of scented oils. I love the lavender one and will order the large size. The small ones are samples. I had to pry the dropper off in order to actually get any oil out of the bottles.
The larger bottle works well; you can squeeze it.I ordered the cinnamon scent but will stick to lavender which seems to smell the freshest and lasts longer.
I have allergies and hope the purifier will clean my living room air. I do wish this was a bit larger but I am pleased that I have it. And this model is quieter than the older one.
I cant verify that it really cleans the air but i feel it does freshen up. would recommend it.

Interesting gimick
I actually bought this because I was intrigued by the design, but wasnt real sure exactly what it did. To me, it is one of those items that I will use until the novelty wears off, and then it will be retired with the other items that were just a passing fancy for me. For right now, though, it is pretty neat, and I am using it with the oils that came with it.
Love it
I use it to purify the air in my house. You can tell its working because the water gets cloudy from the dust removed from the air. The downside is that it does need to be cleaned often, like every 2 days.
I think its really pretty, esp. when the blue light is turned on.
The only problem Ive had with it is that if the cord is at the wrong angle, it vibrates noisily, but adjusting the cord position solves that.
The Best Ever
We have a room designated as a Smokers Haven so our guests can indulge indoors whether they use cigars or cigarettes. This air freshener has kept all smoke and odors contained, which is fantastic for guests and our house. It is quiet, easy to use, easy to clean and works much better than any Hepa filter we have tried. I highly recommend this product. It is the best ever.

Fresh Aroma
I bought this for our bedroom to help with our allergies, and have been using it about 2 weeks. Im not so sure how well it cleans the air, but i love the fresh air that you get using the essential oils. I also like the "whooshing" sound it makes, I sleep with a fan so for me its not loud or bothersome. The blue nightlight is pretty too.
Refreshing
My kids and I suffer from allergy and nasal congestion. I wanted something to purify the air to help us breathe and sleep better at nights. This purifier is doing the job just fine. It freshens the air and makes breathing easier with the drops of eucalyptus oil or lavender oil which were included in the purchase. We plan to use peppermint oil when those are finish. The optional blue light is also soothing. The item is lightweight, no major assembly required. Easy to use. My only con is that it is a bit noisy. The swishing water sound is a bit distracting. Its sounds like a constantly running water faucet. It would be a perfect item if it was quieter, but overall its a good buy. We can breathe better and thats all that matters.

I am a clean freak, I have had cats all my life and have tried every litter, odor eater, air cleaner... When I read the reviews for this item, they said it cut down on dust and I had to try... I bought two. one runs all day and four feet from my litter Boxs (3 cats, its been two weeks and still no dust in that room), the other in my great room living area. NO odor! NO DUST!! It really works!! I am thrilled and relieved beyond belief. No filter to clean... I did have a bit of build up on the motor using my hard tap water so I switched to purified water hoping they last longer. Amazing product I really hope they ever take it off the market this is a wonderful, compact unit, btw I also have three dogs, neighbors and family cant believe how fresh my home smells!

The air purifier is wonderful for people with allergies and asthma such as myself. My medication works very well. So, this is a bonus for me. The soothing blue light and the ability to add different oils so the aroma will match the mood you are in. Its very nice to walk into the Master Bedroom and notice the difference from the room you just left.Our purifier is in the Master Bedroom. I love ever thing about The Lighted Air Purifier. It is a little too noisy!!!!! Other reviewers say how quiet their purifier is. I guess mine is just a little louder. :-)

I was disappointed in this machine. I had heard good things about purifiers that use water from my husband who had one years ago as a single man with pets. I have a small house and large dogs so it doesnt take long to notice an odor even though they stay pretty clean. The scented oil lasts all of 2 minutes and is weak.

Excellent air refresher!
I bought this to clean/refresh the air in my office/exercise room, and it really does refresh the air, so it does not smell like a locker room! Completely cleans the air -- not immediately, but within 1-2 hours.
Easy to use and simple. I use it without the oil essences, but it is also lovely for that usage. Sometimes used to refresh the air in the bedroom and get rid of some dust.
Should be used in a CLOSED room -- does not work well for an open floor plan for getting rid of cooking smells, but that is understandable.

I have this sitting by my chair and I love it. I would like to know how to clean the clear bowl. It has a scum like look around where the water line is. I dont want to ruin it but am wondering how I can clean it.

It works very well but the water bowl is too small. It has to be filled every 12 hours, which could be a problem if I am not home in that time frame.
I have used traditional HEPPA purifiers for 20+ years and this is a much better air purifier, I sleep much more soundly since using this purifier.

Because, of a back injury I cant clean the boxes every day. Helps strongly with the day or two I sometimes have to wait.

This is a great little air purifier. I like that it uses water to filter the air, and the scent is great, although it doesnt last long. I hope it is durable because it seems flimsy and the top does not attach to the base securely. Ive only had it for less than a week, so Ill update if there are any changes. 09/26/14

Attractive, space efficient, so easy to clean and you can see it works! You just need to look at the water to see what is pulled from the air. I bought 2. At first it seemed a little noisy, but it was a new noise that became "white noise." Not at all troublesome. I like the option of using it with or without the light. I have had several different types of air purifiers, in all price ranges. All worked well but had a downside - most often not that easy to clean. One works very well - two just perfect. A good purchase!

I bought 2 of these to refresh the house air in the winter. It adds some moisture and does a decent job of cleaning the air. The blue light makes it a good night lite and when scented oils are added it acts as a diffuser.It needs to have water added a couple times a day, or the old water can simply be dumped [on houseplants] and new water put in. It runs quietly and anything that cuts down on dust is a good thing.

I was not sure how well this product would perform in my small apartment. I live in an area where there is a lot of dust and pollen and it gives me some sinus issues. The first day I noticed a difference in the air, it was cleaner and easier to breath. The big surprise was overnight. I set it in my room, it is easy to move, and awoke feeling refreshed. I could breath! Thank you for such a great product! Well worth the investment.

This small air purifier works great. We have two dogs that create dander and dust and sometimes a doggy smell. I have used this for a week and am thrilled at how efficient it is and the area it covers in our open concept home. It does make noise while running, but not so loud we cant hear the TV. We use it with and without the scent. I will order more, a great product.

This really works.
This product was recommended to me to help my cat who has severe asthma. Its very easy to use. I put a couple of drops of peppermint oil in it. It has cut down on the amount and severity of her attacks. I think the air is fresher and helps me breathe better too.
Worth the money
Placed in family room where 3 aquariums exist and 2 dogs spend a lot of time so at times the air quality is not the best. The water air purifier has definitely helped to improve that.

The only question we had, which was not answered by the enclosed manual and staff, at the Sharper Image Customer Service Department phone number (did not call me back, as promised), was how long I could run the Air Purifier, before it went dry. We feared that it would run dry and create a problem.
We decided to run it all night to see what would happen. The Air Purifier used only about half, of the water, and can be trusted (at least mine can be trusted) throughout the entire night and even longer. So far, we love it. It also works, as a humidifier if kept close to the bed area.

I have been using this in our bedroom with Young Living oils everynight for several weeks. I threw away the oils that came with it because they were just for the smell. When my husband started getting sick last week, I ran the purifier with Thieves Oil and he was fine by morning. The noise is a little much but really works like a noise machine. Overall I am thrilled with my purchase.

Mainly use as an air freshener and humidifier, helps to put moisture in the air and keeps it smelling good. I do not think that it actually purifies the air, wish it was a little bigger.

I tried everything to get the odor out of my apartment and nothing was working. I bought this air purifier and the odor was gone in less than two days. It was great. The only thing I dont like is how often I have to refill it. About twice a day, but it runs continuously so its really not too bad. I love it!

Interesting use. Not sure how it really cleans the air. Its really hard to tell if it is cleaning the air. Nothing really fancy about it. Just spins water around hahahahaha. I have allergies and its hard to tell if its working or not.

I used to wake up in the mornings with a stuffy nose and dry throat, but after my son turned me on to this air purifier I get much better sleep. I love the eucalyptus drops that you can add to the water. I also like the fact that you can turn off the light. I would give this product an A+++ and would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

Very attractive design, lovely blue light (optional on/off a plus). Using this for a little fresh air in main part of house. Nice idea that the dander, etc. particles are simply pulled into water for discard. No chemicals. Very nice to have the option for essential oil fragrances, though the 2 provided are of very poor quality. This item would be good in bedrooms where White Noise is desired. (Not me, however) So I cannot use it in the bedroom.

Works okay in larger spaces
We purchased this unit to control cooking odors. Our kitchen is itself more than 700 square feet (the useful area noted on the product) and it is open concept. As such, the unit does an okay job at mitigating the level of cooking odors but does not completely removed/prevent them. The top lid/control portion of the unit sits precariously on the bottom so that if you dont have it just so it ends up being pretty loud.

Odor catcher
We bought this to freshen the odor in our workout room in the basement. We have rubber tile flooring which can be strong. We put the air freshener in the room and it seemed to help. Since we have a central controlled dehumidifier, the water needed refilling within to the maintain the water level within 24 hours. So if you dont mind adding refilling water to you daily to-do list, it does work.

Seems to work as intended
I use this every night as an air purifier and noise machine while sleeping. I think it does purify the air, especially because the water becomes cloudy, although it is a little louder than I would like. Caution: dont place this too close to the edge of a table because the motor swirls the water around and it vibrates and tends to move during the night. A couple times I awoke to the motor vibrating louder than usual and found it teetering off the edge and about to fall off of my nightstand. To prevent this, I have been wrapping the cord around the base so it doesnt move too much.

I moved to Az and my Ionic Breeze no long works like before. I noticed I had allergies which I didnt have before. Everytime I turned on my cooler I sneeze etc. It was horrible. I saw this product and I decided to give it a try for the bedroom. It arrived and I immediately put it in my kitchen. I turned on the cooler sat in my chair and before you know it fell asleep. All those allegery conditions.... GONE!! Slept like baby. Never made it to the bedroom. I like the blue color, noise level is not high but being in the kitchen area, really can not hear it. Cooler on.. Dont hear it at all. Will recommend to all my neighbors as they all suffer from allergies. I am so clear it is like I have no issues.

The sweet smell of clean
I was a bit skeptical about buying something so small and getting maximum use out of it, but I was wrong. This little machine does the job. I like the idea of being able to add scented oils to it and actually being able to smell the scent in the next room from where I have it. Its really made a difference in my allergies after using it only a week. It may not have the same affect on others, but for the money, this air purifier/freshner is definitely worth trying and buying. I have since purchased another one for the other side of my house. Sharper Image has a winner with this product.

I use this product all the time. It would be easy to travel with as well. Put in water and any scents you wish and turn on. It is that simple! Their are no filters to change. Just rinse out water, air dry and reuse.
