Review Content Best heating pad ever! This pad was bought for low back pain. It is the BEST! I can sit in my chair and this pad lays perfectly and covers from shoulders to buttocks. It is so flexible that it conforms to your body. The extra large size enables you to avoid having to constantly adjust it to cover. I especially like the screw-in connector on a corner of the pad. It cannot pull out. I would buy this product again and again You can use it all day Excellent product I purchased this pad for my mother who has chronic back pain. She finds it to be very soothing and helps her relax. It is difficult to find a pad that does not have massaging balls, which are too intense for my mothers need. The pad covers a large surface area. Far infrared heating pad - relief An old sports injury left me with chronic pain in lower back; had recently an episode of muscle spasm and an inflamed, bulged disc, which made any movement so very painful. Got the far infrared heating pad to possibly give me relief. Had the blanket less than a week, but can say that it does work for me. I wish I could use it in the car and plug it into the auxiliary power source, so it can help me during long drives. May get a second infrared heating pad for backup or as a gift. This product works wonders! I sleep on this every night. My arthritis is tons better. It does what the anti-inflammatory medication does. My hip feels better than it has in years. This works! I couldnt even change positions without pain. So I thought of heat and found this pad. I have a more comfortable sleep and less pain. Just good ol arthritus that makes one feel so old. So the warmth helps in the night and less pain and stiffness in the morning just by getting out of bed. Plus it stays on all night. I can bring it on my travels. So at home I place it under my fitted sheet and no shifting. Excellent, therapeutic product My wife suffered with hip arthritis for almost two years with no relief. It really help relieved pains especially after a heavy work out. Its ok but not a miracle worker... Bought this for my mom. She suffers from lower back pain. She does not feel that this has helped to relieve the pain. It does make it more comfortable but I saw that 30 minutes of the heat would result in hours of relief. Far from it. I wish this was true. If it had been I was ready to buy another one. SWEET I have degeneratve disc disease, arth. from lumbar to neck as well as spinal & cervical stenosis. It REALLY nice to relieve the entire back all at once. It does take a while to heat up though then the auto time feature shuts it off. I just turn it back on, NOT a big deal. I didnt give 5 stars because the thing is expensive. Infrared heating pad This Infrared heating pad is just what I needed for my back. The pad is soft and flexible, with easy to use controls. Perfect size for the back of a chair or laying flat and providing relief from the neck to the upper thigh. Penetrating soothing warmth better and more subtle then a regular heating pad. Infared heating pad deep warmth First off I was surprised that you could not feel much heat off of the pad, I could feel the heat in my leg where I had placed the pad. I used the med. setting and laid under the pad for 20 min. as recommended. Next day I did notice an improvement to my knees (I had torn the meniscus in one of them). Second I was wishing it came with a removable cover or in another color...black is difficult to keep clean looking. I love my infrared heating pad! I wasnt sure if the "infared" would make much difference, but its a deeper heat,more even, doesnt get "hot spots" like other pads. I like the soft material. The controls are easy, but my 63 year old mom couldnt read the settings without her glasses (super tiny print). My only concern is the hefty price! I think the highest price it should be is $100. Great warmth Im using this to help with the cold weather and my fibro pain, and it feels good and works well. solved back issue This item has gone a long way in dealing with my Mothers back issues. She felt better after the first use. She uses it a couple of times a day and the pain flareups are fewer. She is quite satisified. Relief pad My feet are cold when I go to bed and this pad lets me warm them so I can get to sleep. It alse drapes on shoulder and back for aches. Wish an auto turn-off was dependable--it sometimes is off after Ive turned it onto high and sometimes not. ?? Generally, its a useful product and I hope it holds up for long use. I have chronic pain and I am able to get relief from my neck to lower back and hips. It is overpriced, but this is the first time I have purchased an infrared heating pad. It does get hot enough for pain relief. The dark fabric does bleed onto adjacent fabrics, but it did wash out of my white sheets with some stain treatment. WARNING: I would not use on my fabric chair or sofa. A better price point would be $99.00 and offer sales and coupons. Love it though and would recommend! Not hot enough I loved the size of it. It is very hard to find this big sized heating pad but at highest setting it will just get warm, not hot at all. Infrared Heating pad Use in bed excellent...cant afford an infrared therapeutic sauna? Infrared heated coils penetrate through deep tissue and muscles. This is a very comforting health modality. I prefer having the option of a full body size. I had an infrared therapeutic sauna and it took up an entire room. This portable unit takes up a space the size of a blanket and can be stored anywhere inside. Infrared is the way to go! I use this product while I sleep to help keep my tendons looser as they are tightening. I also have a problem with my neck and have a shoulder one also which I use whenever I have a chance, it does soothe my neck and upper shoulders. I have used several heating pads, I like the size, length and the time this pad stays on. The temp. choices are great. The heat does not burn my skin it just sinks into my muscles and tendons. The pad is very lightweight. The 1st setting is a low setting that is just right for overnight use, I put it under or over the sheet. The 2nd and 3rd are increased heat as expected. The 4th is a nice heat for a shorter period of time. The pad heats up quickly. This is my second one... The first I had to have fixed and had a problem with Venture Heat - it took a long time to get it back. This one is made more stable, it is a little thicker and the cord seems more stable. I am hoping that this one is improved. I would recomend this to you only if you understand that you can only count Perfect heating pad This heating pad can cover a very large area and so at night it will cover sore knees and a sore hip at the same time. Solid product The heating pad is quite large and as such can be used for a wide variety of applications. However, the controls are difficult to use. I also think that some people will be surprised that it doesnt get as hot as standard heating pads, although the infrared heat is better than high surface heat. Lastly, when I ordered this product I was advised that I would be receiving a $30 credit toward another Sharper Image purchase and I have still not received this credit.
