paraffin wax bath
I bought this for my Mother. She has arthritis in her hands and it has really helped. She uses it twice a day and she doesnt drop things as much as she used to because it doesnt hurt as much.
Very soothing
Because my hands hurt a lot of the time I bought this paraffin bath to find relief. It feels wonderful and is easy to use. My hands feel very soft after a treatment and the pain is lessened. It is just the right size for hands, but too small for feet. So if you are looking for a paraffin bath for feet you need to buy a different product.

I received this in a very timely manner. Was so excited to find at a very reasonable price. I have arthritis in my hands and the paraffin feels great on them. Takes close to 1 hour to heat the paraffin. Comes with 2 warmer mitts which are very nice and bags.

I have arthritis and my doctor suggested I get this product. I did and I was very happy the first time I used it. It is easy to use and I was very happy with the results. I love how the heat goes deep into the joints. I also love how your hands and feet feel after you take the wax off. You should know to buy extra wax at the time you buy the parrafin bath as you will not have enough wax to keep using the product more than once. It is well worth it though.

This wasnt for me but I bought 2. One for my mom and the other for my grandmother. My mom has fibromyalgia pretty bad and it helps her a lot! My grandmother has arthritis and its the only thing that has given her relief. They both love it. Side note, I couldnt believe how fast this was shipped. It took one full day and that was with "free" shipping. Normally with shipping that fast, you have to pay extra for it.

Spa Heaven
This literally brings the spa to your home. Heating does take approx. 2 hours; but the ability to control the temperature of the wax is a plus. The wax is lightly scented and leaves your hands soft and smooth for days. It is more convenient to pull off the gloves over the sink so wax pieces do not fall to the floor.

Awesome for anyone with dry hands/feet
This gift was actually for my husband. He has very dry/chapped hands in the winter and I talked him into having a salon paraffin dip. He was amazed at the relief it provided.

Paraffin Bath Treatment - try it
I enjoyed using it but it does take 2 hours to heat up the wax. It can also be pretty messy.

I use this for arthritis pain in my hands, seems to work well. The only disadvantage at this point is that it takes 2+ hours to heat which can be inconvenient.

Very useful product
I used this product to give me relief as my fractured finger recuperated from surgical application of a plate and screws. The heat provided relief and was soothing.
An added benefit to me is the silky smoothness of my hand. At first the wax was too hot but as I continued to make use of the product and allowed the wax to cool a bit, I was able to slide my hand into the paraffin I d recommend this product with the suggestion that users will want to allow the wax to cool to about 115degrees before putting hand into the paraffin. The unit itself is fairly attractive and the dial is easy to read. I d also suggest that the dial be set to a keep warm with the top off of the unit while waiting for the temperature of the paraffin to drop.

Average Product for Home Use
I use this product for paraffin treatment at home on my hands and feet for whenever I cant get to the salon for a manicure/pedicure.
Pros: Lightweight, small, easy to use for home use. Cons: Comes with low quality wax therefore starts to crack off within minutes, takes 2 hours to heat up the wax, and highest setting for temperature control is extremely too hot. I would not recommend this unit for a salon, but home use is ok and serves its purpose.
Great for dry winter hands and feet
In the winter my hands and feet become very dry. Using the paraffin bath on a regular basis helps them to retain more moisture. They feel so silky smooth after using the paraffin! I used to get the paraffin baths at my nail salon, but now I can do it at home with the same results.

I learned about paraffin bath treatment at a spa. I have severe arthritis in my hands and the warm wax soothes them.

The product is used to treat achy, paralyzed hand.
The product does a great job in relieving the ache, and softening the hand.
The only problem is trying to get the hand into the bath when the wrist cant move on its own.
Plus, although its probably necessary for safety reasons, the wax takes almost two hours to melt.

It works great. However; what Sharper Image doesnt tell you is that its made by Dr Sholls and says Dr Sholls for Her all over it and the lid is purplish pink. That wouldnt normally be a big deal, but I bought it for a guy who has arthritis in his hand and was quite taken back when I saw all the girly stuff.
He told me that it takes a long time to heat up but that its REALLY HELPED the pain in his hand so much so that he stopped taking so many pain pills! It doesnt get any better than that!!!

I am lucky to find this item
I am very lucky to find this item. Its very easy to use and manage. Temperature is steady and stays warm enough as long as you need. Paraffin melts very fast and container takes small place. So it can be always under hands whenever you need it. Also very helpful that mitts and liners attached, so you dont need to waste time to buy them separately. I definitely will recommend it.

I use this product in my hands and it is amazing! The wax feels very strange but afterwards my hands were the softest they had ever been.

These old hands have been over used and are feeing the effects. The paraffin bath warms to the bone and sooths their discomfort.
My personal negative is the scented wax which is too strong for my lungs. I purchased unscented and use two of these to one scented.

Unit came on time. Is lightweight and melts wax quickly. Just be careful, highest temperature is too hot. Once wax melted, turn down a notch for an hour before using. Worry that older skin may burn at highest temp. Also a bit shallow, may need a ladle if you want to wax forearm. Overall great value.
Fabulous Gift!
The bath is a delight after a long day at work. Unlike other foot baths or massage treatments, this one applies just the perfect amount of heat and the proper degree of paraffin wax to make for a relaxing, yet soothing, relief to both hands and feet.

Use this to relieve arthritis in my hands. The heat works well to relieve pain. It does take a while to melt the wax.

Wait time for paraffin to melt requires planning (about 2 hours for paraffin to melt), but next to that, no problems. Heat is nice for arthritis in my fingers. Makes a home manicure a breeze!

Totally Worth it!
I have very dry skin on my hands. Even after using lots of hand lotions all the time, they are always rough and dry. This bath is awesome. It melts the wax as promised and is easy to use. The warm wax also is very soothing. I have not yet used it for my feet, but Im sure I will soon...It came with Rain Scented wax and I ordered 4 boxes of refill wax that are lavendar scented. They both smell wonderful. Im a FAN of this product!
Dr Scholls Paraffin Bath
Broke my arm in Dec. Cast came off the end of Jan. Occupational Therapy since then to try to get use of my hand back. Swelling and carpal tunnel problems mean numbness and limited range of motion. Paraffin wax baths help a lot, so with this one I can do it every day, not just at OT.

It does help with my thumb for osteoarthritis and I got it in 2 days which is pretty good but I paid $20 more. I could have gotten it for$29 at Walmart with the smae mopdel. Description is not clear so I though I got a bigger size than what I saw at Walmart.

To soothe aching joints, it is really effective. My hands were so soft and smooth when I finished it was astounding. I wish the wax was a bit deeper when melted but that can be solved by buying more.
Love my Paraffin Bath Treatment
I have been using my paraffin bath for about 3 weeks. It makes my hands feel soft and wonderful and also takes the soreness out of my fingers and hands. I suffer from very dry hands along with cracking and bleeding knuckles in the winter. It also has helped with that a lot. I really like the fact that I can adjust the heat settings.
It did what it said and soften our hands and feet.
I bought the paraffin wax treatment for my teenage daughter. It was easy to use but she used plastic gloves after dipping hands into wax and had hard time getting wax to come off. I used it without the gloves and had an easy time removing wax. My hands and feet felt very soft afterwards.

I needed to buy a Paraffin Bath for my hand therapists recommended it for my finger that has a lot of scar tissue build up due to surgery. I bought a different model that was cheaper, also from a different merchant and it leaked after a couple of uses. Took it back and went to Shaper Image and found this one. Melts wax easily, stays warm and I would recommend this product.
This product did not disappoint!
I wish it had come with a different scented wax. But thats totally a personal preference and you can purchase more wax from your supplier.
Works well as described
The staff at my hand surgeons office recommended a paraffin bath treatment to ease the aches and pain in my hands. I searched online and found this to be a reasonably priced unit. Ive had paraffin treatments before at the spa and this is equal to any professional treatment Ive experienced. The results are temporary, but it does ease the pain and leaves your hands feeling soft and smooth. The unit comes with all you need to get started including paraffin wax, plastic hand covers and two mitts. I recommend purchasing extra paraffin wax, if youre like us youll be using it daily. My wife and I both use it everyday!
