It works fine with headphones, but my husband wants to use it in the car plugged in to the MP3 player connection to the stereo. Unfortunately, when the stereo is turned off or tuned to the radio or CD, the book you are listening to often reverts back to the beginning when it is turned back on. This is very frustrating. We have not had this problem when connecting an iPod to the stereo. I would recommend the item to someone who will use it with headphones only.
