poor AC plug adapter design
the AC plug adapter was poorly designed..the rubber plug did not fit in the opening designed for it..thus, the whole radio in NOT waterproof. Did not send it back because we will not be using it in shower ..but was very disappointed. Check the plug carefully !
Well worth the money
I have gone through 5 shower radios in the past 3-4 years with all of them costing around $25. Wish I would have found this one first. It is a little bigger that the other ones, but the controls and the ability to preset stations is great. Previously I had to dial in a station when I wanted to change it. Now it is as easy as my car radio to set and the reception is much better. I do not know about battery life as I have only had it for 6 weeks, but I use it every day and the battery indicator has not budged.

Excellent Shower Radio
This was a gift for my parents that havent switched to a Bluetooth shower speaker yet. Excellent shower radio for the money. Has digital tuning for easy setup. Great sound and handle to take it in other parts of the house. The only downside is its a bit heavy because of the batteries (2 D cells).

Absolutely would recommend this product
Purchased this radio for use in our windowless bathroom, and it has done everthing I wanted it to - great reception, easy to set up and use, and as a bonus, it has an LED light in the event of power loss (very important in a room with no windows). We dont use it in the shower, but are very pleased with its quality and performance under humid conditions. Would highly recommend it.
A little bulky, but still love it!
I am using this in my bathroom and love it! Its hanging from the shower rod. My last shower radio was smaller so this one takes getting used to. However, the quality is great & I get better reception from this one.

We purchased this radio for our daughter for Christmas. She loves to sing in the shower. I had totally forgotten that we had it until we lost power during a play off football game. Not only was the radio a life saver for keeping us connected to the game but also the outside world. We were without power for fifteen hours. We were so impressed with the quality that I immediately purchased a second one of these radios for us to have for emergencies. In the past, I had purchased radios that were not intuitive to use at all. This radio has the quality, durability, and easy to operated controls. I was impressed with the weight. It speaks of quality. I would recommend every house have one of these radios for all types of needs.

I use this product in my bathroom. It fits perfectly on my counter and does not take up too much room. The reception is much better than I expected and comes in loud and clear. I also like the fact that a flashlight is included. It is quite portable and can easily be moved from one location to another.

Was tired of having to turn the radio up in the bedroom so was glad to get a battery radio that withstands moisture. Has great sound and the am band actually comes in really well. Havent had it long enough to judge the battery life.

This is my emergency radio and I also listen to it in the morning when getting ready for work and at night.
water proof shower radio
This radio can fit in my purse to carry along with me if I want something to listen to while Im out walking. I like that it has a flashlight on it. Im generally not out late, but its good to have.
Big Display
Timer switch was confusing since I use this as my shower radio found it still on after 8Hrs but the battery life was still good.Otherwise I like the radio for its size and diplay and sound.

We use the radio in our bathroom. Reception in the shower is poor but we found a place where FM reception is excellent. Not so AM. The antennae doesnt improve reception.

Waterproof Shower Radio
This was a valentines gift for my husband, his first reaction was he could use the radio outside when he was cutting wood! But the radio is now in our bathroom, where [I think :)] the radio belongs.

Love to listen to radio while getting ready for the day. Great sound. Clock tells me if I need to hurry. Weather alert feature not yet used, but know its there. Looks good sitting on the window sill. Not bulky, but sturdy.

Large, but well designed, fits the bill
This is only our third Shower Radio (all Sharper Image) in about 20-25 years of family life. They last a long time and stand up to some abuse. When they get old, the volume becomes hard to adjust so it is time to replace. Only had this one about two weeks so not sure about battery life -- but it takes 2 D cells instead of former one that used several AAs. Only complaint is that it is pretty large - but the handle makes it work (people tend to move it from the window sill into the shower and back on a daily basis).

Dont have to worry about steam or dampness in the bathroom. This product is tightly sealed against moisture, yet delivers quality sound.

Heavy radio without a heavy duty "hook" to hold it up; thus sits on a counter top. Would be nice to have it actually hang in the shower!
GREAT SOLUTION
I had been looking for a radio for a bathroom which didnt have an electric outlet near the space for radio.
I ordered this radio and was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the radio looks. The sound is great and the setup was not difficult.

This radio is compact and easy to use, and the sound is great. We use it in the bathroom, but it would be useful anywhere. The bright light that it has makes it very useful if there is a power outage.

Our family uses this everyday. Two 17-year-old boys use it in the shower for music and clock. Timer ends each shower. Husband uses it to listen to sports shows during the late evening hours. I use this radio primarily in the morning when I get up and while showering, but will also use it by our swimming pool, because it is waterproof.
Great radio
I do not use the radio in the shower, but it is a great product. The radio is good and it is a bonus to have the clock. It is easy to use and perfectly fits our purposes.
Soo far it is perfect!
We love it so far. Prior to this we had several of the Sonys that now sell for +-$60. We like those, but the touch pads easily cracked and the antenea was a problem and this one may also be. Moving the radio around can cause the wire antenae to get caught and break off. I thought his one had a self inclosed antenea and not the same type as the Sony. We have wrapped the antenea around the base of the unit without the wires touching and taped them. This seems to work.
DC Port Cover Ill Fitting
Ordered this product to use in the shower, but noticed upon taking it out of the box that the cover for the DC port did not fit well, therefore, water would be able to enter the radio, ruining it. Between this issue, very poor customer service when I called them, and poor quality of sound machine ordered at same time, I wont be ordering from Sharper Image anymore. Sound machine showed in stock when ordered, and on my confirmation page, however didnt arrive with shower radio. When checked my order later, was noted sound machine was on backorder until June 2015! I called customer service and spoke with a very rude woman who couldnt explain to me the discrepancy in order status on the sound machine, would not let me speak to a supervisor, told me supervisor would call within 48 hours, which never happened. She said shed email me a return label for shower radio, when I didnt receive it by later that day, I called again. Unfortunately, got same woman on the phone. She was very rude, stating that shed told m

A Wonderful Addition To My Shower Time
I first bought one of these when I redesigned my bathroom and wanted a compact waterproof radio for a shelf in the shower. I love that this radio has a big time display (very important), shows channel settings when the buttons (nice and large) are pushed, and that the time and channel settings are easily programmed. I often found new settings punched in by my kids who enjoyed it as well. That purchase was ten years ago. This same radio still works great but now has a new location on my treadmill upstairs because I recently bought a new one for the shower plus one for each of my two kids who are now in their own homes. They both love the product, too.
It easily travels from use in the shower to going outside for messy gardening or workshop projects. There is a long antenna that works great for both bands (fm & am) but does require some careful placement to achieve reception if the station is in a more distant location.

We bought this as a replacement radio for our shower and its terrific. Handle easily swings open for simple installation over the shower curtain rod. Theres really no need for any wall mounted installation if you have a shower rod.

Pretty Good Radio
I dont personally use it because I bought this for my husband and he uses it all the time in the bathroom getting ready for the day. He doesnt use it in the shower but it is waterproof so its good in case water is accidentally sprayed on it. He thinks it is pretty good so I will go with his recommendation. He also uses it at night when he goes to bed. It has a shut off feature.

Nice radio
I will use the radio in my bathroom. Great things about it are that it is waterproof, easy to tune and good sounding. Something not so great is that I cant hang it over my shower head like my old Sharper Image Shower Companion.
Sangean Radio
I use the Sangean radio every day. I have it hanging up on the shower rod that holds curtain. I like the clarity of sound. For years I had a small flip radio that would not stay tuned and I constantly had to readjust the dial. Going digital LED was the best thing I could have done. The cost to value is worth every penny!
