Sparkle
I use this to clean all of my silver, and man do they come out sparkling. You just use regular water and its so easy to maintain.
Popped the diamonds out of my ring
This machine popped some small diamonds out of my wedding ring so I am returning it. Do not put your valuables in this.
Better Than Manually Cleannig
My jewelry tends to need frequent cleaning and polishing so I tried this jewelry cleaner. It is a bit bulkier than I expected so it takes up some dresser room but the color is black and looks sleek so it appears low profile. I put my gold wedding band and diamond ring in for a 90 minute cycle and it was a bit better. Then I tried the 180 minute cycle and it looked better than before. It was not impressively shiny as when cleaned professionally at the jewelers but for the price does a decent job and I dont have to scrub and poke at it and is better for the setting. I tried some Calgon in it the 2nd cycle as well. We have very hard water here, (also, using distilled H20 in the chamber), and that improved results too. The price is great and it is a gentle easy way to clean your soiled jewelry. Note that the cleaner is not recommended for any soft stones or pearls. If you require perfection, I would recommend a more comprehensive jewelry cleaner.

I put ll my jewekry in it, and just let oit work on its own. My friend Carol came over & we put hers in too...We had a jewelry cleaning party !

Jewlery Cleaner
I bought this ultrasonic cleaner for my wife. She needed her jewlery cleaned more frequantly than I could bring her ring in to get it done. Also, the cost of getting her ring cleaned was just outragous.
This product does a very good job. It is easy to use. It is lightweight and fits nicely under the bathroom sink. We like that we can use our softened tap water in it, no chemicals. (I wouldnt use untreated tap water, as it would calcify.)
It may not clean quite as good as the jewlery store but it does a pretty good job, and is worth the purchase. I recomend this product.
Excellent Product
I purchased this jewelry cleaner to replace one that, though similarly priced, only lasted a short time. This one is very effective and gentle on the jewelry. Go ahead and buy the cleaner with it, because water only doesnt work that well.
Professional Results from home!
Great cleaner, I keep mine on the vanity of my bathroom. Juts put my rings in the morning, ,while in the shower, and when I am ready to leave for the day, so are my rings. Just make sure not to use any ammonia based cleaners, as this can damage the stainless steel tank. Dont put pearls or other soft stones in the unit, because the ultrasonic waves can crack, or damage the stones.
Nice Little Machine
Id read good reviews on this jewelry cleaner from several people in the gem industry. Works really well and much easier and less worrisome than cleaning in a sink.
Jewelry shines!
This gets all the build up off of my diamonds and gold jewelry. My sterling silver items shine. Very easy to use. I use tap water with a few drops of liquid soap.
Cleans well
Ive only used this once.. I didnt have the cleanser recommended but used distilled water & a small amount of Dawn .. It cleaned my gold & silver perfectly .. There was a glob of lotions, oils & dirt in the container after the long cycle .. My jewelry sparkled..happy so far..

\Cleans like a pro
I got into gold jewelry and wear it constantly. Of course, it gets pretty dirty. This cleaner does the trick with just plain water. No expensive solutions to buy. I also like that I can clean my watch bands.

I needed something to clean my necklaces, rings, and watchbands....I have found a great product and now have sparkling jewelry in no time at all! I use a few drops of dish soap added to the water and PRESTO....my chains look new! My dull earrings(sometimes caked with hair spray)are clean and shiny! I am one happy gal!

Works Surprisingly Well!
This little cleaner worked surprisingly well! Not only is it VERY easy to use, but it doesnt even require any special cleaning solutions. My wife and I cleaned 3 rings using just tap water and they came out great! One of the rings had not been cleaned in over 10 years and this cleaner removed a ton of gunk that had been gathering. Im very pleased with the results and look forward to future uses.

I expected jewelry to be sparkling clean following use. In many cases I couldnt tell the difference between before and after. Didnt clean under rings at all. Write-up for this product over promises results.

I bought this after reading reviews, and being tired of my dull looking engagement and wedding rings. No amount of scrubbing made them look like when I first received them. But this device made them look like new! And even more than that, I love how I can now see out of my glasses clearly! I have only had the ultra sonic cleaner for a week, but I have used it every day, and expect that will continue!

love the fact that it does a fantastic job of cleaning diamond ring(with hard to reach crevices),dentures with like crevices and eyeglasse with just water. Fantastic. Will try a little dish detergent next time to see if it makes a difference.
Shiny indeed
Really does work. Had about 4 or 5 pieces of jewerly (rings, watches, earings) that I put in the machine,and they had a nice shine to them afterwards.

At first I as hesitant to put my wedding ring into the jewelry cleaner but Im glad that I did. My ring sparkles like brand new or like when I bring it home from a cleaning at the jewelers. I also put all my sterling silver in and it removed all the tarnish. This really saved me time because I could put all my sterling, diamonds, gold etc. into the cleaner at the same time. This is a great product!

No, just no
I read a lot of the reviews. I should have listened to the one about it knocking diamonds out. It took two out of my ring. I am so very sad. One was kind of a small bezel set and the other was just a small accent diamond. I also was not impressed with how clean things were. It didnt do a great job. In my opinion there are better gentler ways to clean your jewelry. Its probably OK for jewelry without stones or if you have a large multi-prong setting but, do you really want to risk it? I cannot in good conscience recommend this.
Makes my jewels sparkle
I am glad that my husband bought this product for me. I work in the restaurant business so my jewelry needs to be cleaned often as my hands are often in cleaners and sanitizers. I am also a complete accessory addict, so I always have jewelry that needs to be cleaned. It does a pretty good job, my diamonds definitely sparkle: I think it is a great cleaner, however, you still need access to a steam cleaner to take it that extra mile.

Cleaned my gold necklaces and rings and did a great job on wifes diamonds. On my daughters silver Tiffany necklace it did take two cleanings and probably could of ran in through again. All in all it did a great job and I would recommend it for home use to keep your jewelry looking great! I did use the optional cleaning packets that were recommended. Very happy with my purchase!!

Very impressed! Was exactly what I was looking for. We have it on the counter in our bathroom so its convenient and ready to use. Added a few drops of Dawn dish soap to the water and placed my husbands watch band (which had never been cleaned)in it. It was so clean (and the water so dirty)! Worked great on my jewelry. Also put my husbands glasses in it. He was pleased with the results of that also. Its very quick and not very loud. An old cleaner I had was so noisy. Would recommend this to anyone looking for an ultrasonic cleaner.

My wedding rings (that I rarely remove) had not been cleaned in over a year and this machine cleaned them up nicely. It took three 3-minute cycles to do this but that was to be expected for the initial cleaning. I have since done earrings, silver necklaces, and my wrist watch band and all came out clean and sparkling in one 3-minute cycle. I just used water with a drop or two of dish washing soap. I love this machine!

Good Choice
My daughter has a lot of jewelry and, most important, lots of gold and silver chain necklaces that go with her pendants. It is difficult to clean chains efficiently but the ultrasonic does that superbly.

Works well
I bought the Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner so I could clean my wedding and engagement rings without having to take them to the jeweler (which I would never bother to do). It works very well. Although the instructions say you can use it with just regular water, I added just a little bit of dishsoap to the water and it seemed to help. The only drawback is you may have to repeat the cleaning process through several cycles if the jewelry is very dirty. My rings hadnt been cleaned in over a year and it took four cycles of 180 seconds each before I was happy with the results. The settings were clean and shiny and the stones sparkled. Overall, its a good product and very convenient. It also worked well on my diamond stud earrings. For small items, the instructions recommend putting them in a small tea infuser to avoid them getting stuck in the machine. I did that and it worked fine.

I received this as a gift and I love it! I have a complex wedding ring that is hard to clean on its own because of the small areas and this machine does the job of getting the dirt in the hard to reach places. My ring is platinum with both large and small diamonds and I havent had any issues with cleaning it in this machine. I use a natural dish soap with just some filtered water and I let the machine do the work. Ive tried other rings as well and it works great on them. I have yet to try it with other things but from the reviews Ive read it sounds like it can tackle most things. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a simple jewelry cleaner that gets the job done!
It really works!
I purchased this to replace a decent older sharper image unit, and expected it to clean just as well. I clean the jewelry I wear each day, and always get compliments because my pieces sparkle. I was pleasantly surprised when my earrings, rings, etc., actually came out with more sparkle, and my gold watch band looks unbelievable. Wow! Nice surprise! I do add a bit of liquid detergent to some water, (and dont tell anyone...), I also add some ammonia, although the instructions say not to. A jeweler friend told me about this combo, and it honestly works the best.
The only cons I see at this point are that the top doesnt pop up as it should when the knob is pressed ~ dont know if it is a flaw or just the way the units work, but it is a little difficult to pull the top up. Also, it is not easy to remove the basket to rinse the pieces of jewelry before placing out to dry; I think a little protruding plastic piece would be helpful.
All in all, the unit cleans very well, and that is the bottom line!

This product was very useful! My engagement and wedding rings have micropave diamonds. The cleaner definitely made my ring shiny and clean, but it did cause one of the stones to fall out. Luckily, my jeweler replaces them for free.
I also used it to clean my earrings that I bought in India. It did help clean the outside very nicely, but there was still some gunk on the inside of the post as well as behind the stone.

I use this to clean my wedding ring, eye-glasses, watch, etc. I think this is a great product for easy maintenance/cleaning of jewelry and eye-glasses. I havent found any problems with the unit, as yet. What would make the thing better would be perhaps to expand the capacity of the unit such that the user can clean a couple of items at the same time.

My wifer uses it to clean her jewelry and it works pretty good. Definitely gets it shiny but sometimes has a hard time getting in crevices if you have small openings in your ring. Overall pretty good though.

Makes a big difference
I replaced a smaller sonic jewelry cleaner with this larger size. I was having trouble fitting my bracelets into the tank. This one is an elongated shape sized big enough to fit a pair of eyeglasses which, by the way, come out amazingly clean. All of my good jewelry fits easily into the tank. I also like the choices of time that you can run the cycle. Some items dont need to be cleaned as long as others. The latching lid keeps my cleaning liquid from evaporating. All in all, a very useful unit.
Diamonds sparkled!
I bought the product as a Christmas gift for my wife, she loved it. The diamonds definitely sparkled, its a great small gift to clean jewelry. The only problem I had was one or two of the packets of the cleaner opened up in the mail and got on the box of the cleaning product. Other than that, the actual product itself worked great!

This is my first experience with an ultrasonic cleaner and it made my gold, silver, and diamonds sparkle. The downside is that there is not enough information about the types of gemstones suitable for cleaning. As a result, I now have a very dull stone in a smoky quartz ring. For that reason, I gave 3 stars. Use caution.

I have been hand cleaning my jewelry for 36 years, and when my husband gave me a beautiful necklace for our anniversary this year I knew I could not, and did not, want to clean my jewelry like I have been doing. I decided to wait till Valentines Day to ask for a real jewelry cleaner. All he asked of me was to find the one I wanted and to make sure it was a good one. This is it! After spending a week reading and looking in stores and on-line, I decided The Sharper Images was the best. We have bought many things from The Sharper Image over the years and have never been disappointed.
Love this, but be careful!
After years of wanting one, I finally purchased this jewelry cleaner and it works magic! Ive cleaned all my good jewelry that could handle the ultrasonic cleaning method, and it all looked new. The thing that really made me say wow is the fact that I can clean my glasses in this, and I dont end up with smudges or residue. Its so nice to see clearly!
Having said that, I assume this is user error, but still, others shoudl be aware to not make the same mistake. I used it several times on my engagment rings, and 2 wedding bands that wrap the engagement ring. These 2 wedding bands have very small diamonds and apparently the vibration of the ultrasonic cleaner was strong enough to unsettle 2 of the diamonds out of the band setting (one in each band). Thankfully my smart husband threw a flashlight into the basin and was able to retrieve them, however I dont know what it will cost for them to be reset. In other words, enjoy the sparkly but dont over do it!

Streamline Cleaner
I use this jewelry cleaner several times a week. I do everything with my rings on so they need frequent cleaning. We got it because you could use it without a special cleaner. It did not work as well as I thought it should without the cleaner. We will be ordering the cleaner to see if it does a better job. Nice design- doesnt take up too much counter space.

Surprise, surprise.....It works well !!
I take all of my jewelry items and clean them, even the items I have not worn for a long time.
My jewelry is kept in a safe, wrapped in cloths, so it is well protected, my rings and bracelets are worn often, so they need cleaning about once every month,
Ihad two other cleaaners, one did not work well, and the other was big and clumsy to use...both required special fluids..this new one does not.
Works As Advertised
Works well on items as specified. Product manual warns against use with soft or porous jewelry such as pearls, opals, etc.
Excellent purchase
I bought this jewelry cleaner to replace a similarly priced item that only worked for a few months. I am very pleased with this purchase and have purchased one as a Christmas gift, too. I suggest ordering the cleaner while you are at it, because water only certainly didnt work for me.
I would buy this again
I purchased this for a wedding shower gift, and the bride to be loved it. Going buy her comments on how well it cleans, I ordered two more for my two daughters as a Christmas present. I personaly have not used it, but the bride which works with me, her ring sparkels like new everyday.
Excellent cleaner
This machine gets my wedding ring as sparkling as the jeweler does. My costume jewelry comes out great too. I love it and would definitely recommend it.
Compact and Effective
I bought this jewelry cleaner after I tried to have the local jewelry store clean some of my necklaces. The store wanted to charge me $25 per necklace. I researched home jewelry cleaners and this one always rated in the top two. I now know why. It is extremely easy to use and very effective. My necklaces are clean.
Worked pretty well
It worked fairly well, but you really need the cleaning solution (which I didnt know about before ordering) in order to make it most effective.
Better than expected!
I never expected these results! My rings have NEVER LOOKED BETTER! The difference is amazing! People notice my diamond jewelry sparkling more, without me even saying a word. Great little tool...
This product was recommended to me, and I was glad I purchased it. With just a little solution, my jewelry sparkles again. Great on diamonds and metals... just dont use it on pearls or other soft stones.

One pin with tarnish showing had to be supplemented with polish, but several pairs of earrings and a couple necklaces needed no additional touch up. How nice to have them shiny again.
