Truly silent! - Works great!
This truly silent air purifier takes the place of the "whisper" quiet purifier that when it was running holding a conversation in the same room was nearly impossible. the Airfree P1000 now sits right next to the couch in my living room and having a quiet conversation is now possible. We can even watch TV! The Airfree P1000 truly cleans the dusty air in my 107 year old house! I love it. I plan to buy two more - one for my kitchen and one for my bedroom.
Airfree meets my expectations.
I live in an efficiency in an old building which doesnt have all the bells and whistles, so to speak. Since having the Airfree air purifier, I can definitely tell a difference in the air quality. When I awake in the mornings, I dont have the sinus congestion I experienced prior to having Airfree.
Really quiet, but makes a difference
The full effect of air-cleaning takes several days. It was gradual at first, but quite noticeable at the end of a week. Really quiet and no ozone smell!

I like that you dont have to clean the filter. You cant visibly see if its working or not but just the way you feel all the time. Less sneezing or coughing.

We bought the black one for the larger square footage for our daughters room when she was a newborn. Its silent and has its light can be controlled, so it was a wonderful night light as well as air purifier. We felt better knowing the air she was breathing was going to be pure, especially since we have a cat and dander. A necessity.
Now we purchased the white one for our basement rec room, because we recently took care of some seepage. Its an ideal product to deal with mold, bacteria and other harmful air particles.
Breating easier
My air purifier runs constantly in my bedroom. It makes the air smell like clean clothes that have just been taken off the outdoor clothesline on a sunny day. It is lightweight. I could use a carrying case for it because it will accompany me on any trips requiring an overnight stay at a hotel. I was nearly ready to give up staying at hotels previously because of my severe nasal allergies. Air purifiers made it possible for me to enjoy hotel stays once more. The unit does product a little heat, but that is not so bad if you have air conditioning. This purifier is not a rip off or a gimmick. It truly helps my symptoms.

its small and compact no noise , clears the air of all smells in fact when you burn candles dont put this on it clears that smell too unless you dont like the smell....Lol so far all is good only have it less than 2 weeks will review again in 6 months

Ive been suffering from severe allergies ever since I got my two adorable felines (which I found out I was allergic to a few months after adoption). We put this in the bedroom on the floor. My Russian Blue with the gorgeous but sneeze-inducing fur, has taken to sleeping by the air purifier! Better nights sleep all around and Ive become fond of watching t.v. in the bedroom because the air purifier is in there. Time to get one for the living room. Id done a lot of investigating between Consumer Reports, [@] and various other rating sites. I was very disappointed that this was never rated on Consumer Reports because its incredible...And, no filter! This got high ratings across the WORLD. Excellent product.
Breathing easier
Here in WNC ,we have gotten a lot of rain this year .with that increased mold and fungus .i was having trouble breathing at night so I bought this air purifier to see if it would help. My immune system is weak and I had concerns for my Heath also.
I have had the purifier for 2 weeks now and am happy to say it has worked wonderful. I could notice a difference the second day. The air feels lighter and clean. I want to get another one for my home. I cough much less then before. A very happy customer!.
Filterless Silent Air Purifier - 450SF
You didnt really offer any proof that the product would perform the way you said it would. I couldnt prove anything once I got your product. Very sad. My Granddaughter is 11 years old and at night sleeps in a 9 x 12 bedroom with her dog "Lui (The Italian word for "him") cuddled up on her bed With my gift to her of the P1000 filterless, silent, air purifier, I sleep more comfortably at night.
Worked immediately to decrease allergy symptoms
I bought this for an allergic employee of mine. She saw immediate decrease in symptoms. Because the night light portion didnt work, I sent it back for exchange, but cant wait to get the new one as her allergies are back.
In days, no more constant coughing up!
I thought I had a serious lung disease because I was coughing up several times daily. Yet testing revealed nothing. Within a few days of putting the heat-activated air purifier into my bedroom, my conjestion and coughing up stopped and my sinus condition improved. I have four Persian cats, yet didnt realize just how much they shed. I vacuum daily, and thoroughly clean weekly, yet I wasnt cleaning the air, until now. Ill be ordering the larger one for the living room.

I bought this because my 3 year old daughter seemed to be getting sick once a month and we were told by our doctor she has allergies. We have been using this for nearly a month and she is sleeping through the night, no stuffy nose, no sickness. This Thing Really Works
We live in a small one bedroom condo-and when we close the windows, the air quality is musty. We had an ionic breeze air purifier for our bedroom. It worked ok but it was a pain in the neck to clean.
This new air purifier works perfectly. Its quiet and air quality is much improved. We were so happy that we got the larger unit for our living room.
Feeling a lot better
After 10 minutes of plugging it in I started to feel better. After 2 hours I felt better all around. Its been several weeks and Im able to spend time in my own home with minimal effects from allergies.
QUIET, LIGHT, NO MAINTENANCE, KILLS MOLD
I have had so many different types of filters over the past 35 years because of my allergies and asthma. These are amazing. They sterilize the air, kill every pollutant, and my husband and I havent sneezed once since we installed them! Allergic Rhino is a mold and yeast infection in the sinus cavities. It creates an environment for infection. These filters do no dry out the air, they sterilize it! Best filters Ive ever had.

I had a great air purifier, but it was too large and bulky for the space I needed to place it, this little guy is amazing and attractive and compact enough to put it where I want to, AND my headaches are gone so I know without doubt it is working just fine. Couldnt be any easier being free of cleaning filters!! love this!!
New Purifier for me
I used to have the big tower ionic breeze and I loved it. It lasted me 13 years and I was sad when it was done. This new one compared to the last one we had is ok. It doesnt give off the clean smell but seems to help alittle with smoke, and we will see come spring if it helps with allegery season. It is silent for sure.
Great Buy
It is wonderful to feel the use of the absolutely silent air purifier. With winter weather outside, the home is more close than usual and closed up air needs some help with the dander, pollens, etc. that have collected over the open door months.

Really works!
My new husband has a severe allergy to cat dander, so with my 4 cats he was pretty congested. I bought this item for my daughter who has asthma, chronic cough and allergies. First off, there was a noticeable difference in the smell alone in her room after a few hours of the unit being plugged in. It air smells clean and light. She sleeps much better at night will a limited amount of coughing compared to before. I noticed her sinuses are clearer and she is breathing better.
amazing little machine
The air is clean and allergen-free after just a few hours of turning on this machine. I sleep so well with this in my bedroom because I can finally breathe freely. I cant say enough good things about it. I am going to purchase a 2nd one for our family room.

So quiet its like it doesnt exist!
We havent had it for all that long, but one thing I noticed that I really liked was that we had a fish fry one evening and usually the next morning you can smell the deep fried fish all over the kitchen. But this time you couldnt smell the fish or any deep fried smell! That was a pleasant experience, along with not smelling the wet dogs as much either! I would and have definitely recommend the air purifier to others.

Great Air Purifier
After 2 weeks of use my house smells great
THE PERFECT AIR FILTER
I began to replace old Ionic Breeze air filters with these filters because they wore out after many years of use. I have three levels in my home. I began with four of the Air Free on one level about six months ago. I noticed my allergy symptoms were greatly improving while I was on the level of the home which had these air filters. About six months ago I purchased another four Air Free filters and placed them on the other levels of the house. I am feeling better than ever. I had a systemic yeast/mold/fungus infection (Mycological Syndrome) and Im free of it now. These filters require NO MAINTENANCE and kill every air-born thing to which I am allergic.
It really does work!
I live in an apt and the dust seemed to accumulate immediately after cleaning! I purchased this product and leave on all the time in my bedroom. After one week, I noticed a significant decrease in dust throughout my entire apt!!!! I also noticed the air smells crisp and fresh...highly recommend this product.
This one does the job!
I am extremely scent sensitive and have a long history of sinus problems. I had the Ionic Breeze for 5+ years until one of the cleaning wires broke. I decided to try this just under a montha ago because it said it destroys the airborne bacteria and I dont have to worry about cleaning a filter every week. I like darkness to sleep so I turned the blue light off. You still have the on light, but I turned it away from me. I am breathing much clearer now. I do not wake up nearly as stopped up as before. I even have days when I am not congested at all. When I can afford to do so, I am considering buying another one for my computer room or even one of the larger models for the family room.

I used to have 4 Ionic Breeze from Sharper Image, then I saw the new Silent Air Purifier and read all the good reviews about this product, decided to give it a try, bought a 650 black color one for my bedroom, it works like wonder, I can feel the improvement of the quality of air in my bedroom, immediately bought another 450 white one for my bedroom and move the 650 black one to the bigger living room, am considering buying another one for my office.

Big Difference After Just 2 Hours!
I have severe Athsma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Breathing and Allergies have been a huge problem for me. I see why this unit is used in hospitals. Its really amazing the difference it makes! I only wish Id been able to afford it sooner! Never bought anything made in Germany that would be considered "junk". Great Product! Thanks Sharper Image!
Just as advertised!
All of the posted reviews are spot-on accurate so I would add that the soft blue light can not only be dimmed but turned off if desired and that if you have a non-polarized electrical outlet, the light will rapidly blink if you need to flip the prongs/ re-plug it in properly. Also, if placed on an uneven/un-level surface, or it is on while you hold it, the blinking light alert will display.
THE PERFECT AIR FILTER
I have purchased a number of different air filters over the decades. The last group I had were Silent Air Ionic Breeze filters. I loved them and they did a great job. However, they needed to be cleaned every week or so. With Airfree there is no maintenance. My worst allergies are dust mites and mold. The Airfree takes care of both + other air pollutants plus they make no noise whatsoever. Their beautiful blue glow creates perfect night lights. They require no maintenance whatsoever and my sneezing episodes and breathing problems are down by 95%. I love these filters.
Great New Technology (to me)
I had an older Sharper Image Ionic Breeze and loved it! It came to the end of its life and I needed a new one. I was about to order an updated model when I saw these Airfree Air Purifiers. No filters, no stainless grids to clean, nothing, no maintenance at all! It seemed too good to be true but it is new technology. I thought Id try it. It is great! It is very small and silent. My only question is since there is nothing to clean or replace (the dust, etc is sort of zapped away or burned) I have no way of knowing if it is working or not. I dont have an odor problem in my home so I cant go by that. But it is silent and the light is on. It has an option to turn the light off also, but I like the light. I keep it running constantly. I dont have very much dust in my home so that part is working. I am left to believe it is working and just as it is supposed to. I think it is wonderful that we can have clean and almost dust and bacteria-free air to breathe inside our homes. I bought this model and the higher
Whisper quiet, super air purifier
Super quiet, and does the job! Love how I dont have to change/replace filters. Cant say enough good things about it, great design, smaller than I thought it would be, and super, super quiet. No extra heat put off by the unit, and we are all sleeping much better these days with breathing clean air.
2nd Times a Charm
The first one I ordered didnt turn on when plugged in. Sent it back with no hassle. This one came and was perfect. I now have three, one for each bedroom. Great because of 6 cats in the house, and constant neighborhood burning. Sinus problems have calmed down.

filterless silent air filter
I have used other Sharper Image air filters for years. At Christmas I bought my two children this air filter for their homes because of their allergies. My son loved his so much he also purchased one for my grandsons bedroom. This filter is wonderful because there is no matinence plug it in, no filters to clean or change!

A Must Have
This is a great maintenance free product. We bought it to put in our camper. I had difficulty breathing due to 4 cats with us. After a few hours I had no problem breathing. I highly recommend this. This system is compact and light weight.
I think this is doing what I needed.
I purchased this product because I was having unusual respiratory issues over the last 3 months requiring the use of an inhaler. I was up to 4-5 puffs every day. After about 12 days of using this purifier, I am only using my inhaler once per day and occasionally not at all. I am not back to complete normal, but the improvement was good enough to consider this product may have helped. I like that it doesnt make any noise and that I could turn off the colored light on top.
Great product
I use this product to purify two small rooms less than 300 square feet. The amou t of dust has decreased and I breathe a lot better, less allergies. The only drawback is that the inside gets very hot but thats how it works. No regrets. Great product.

its quiet and helpful
The design of the purifier, and the operating, are very good. I dont know yet how efficiently it purifies -- but think its helped with odors, already.
It works ok.
We bought this to use for grandpas room because his room gets really stuffy and the odor comes out into the main area which is somewhat unpleasant. After putting the unit in his room (and the second one is in the living room near his doorway to catch what the first one doesnt) it helped a fair amount but never 100% yet. I was hoping this would reduce the odor by at least 90%-100% but it seems to have only been about 50%-60%. But that is better than not having them at all.
Getting ready to buy a third
We have this air cleaner in our bedroom and the larger size in our living room. Will be buying another one soon for another bedroom. Not sure how they work but we can tell the difference and they are super easy to set up and take care of. Basically there is nothing to do. Love not having filters to clean

WE HAD MOLD IN BOTH BATHROOM CLOSETS. AFTER A THOROUGH CLEANING OUT PROCESS, NO NEW MOLD HAS FORMED. THIS IS MY SECOND PURCHASE OF SIMILAR ITEM. BOUGHT THE LARGER SIZE FIRST FOR MY CLOSET. HUSBAND GETS THE SMALLER SIZE FOR HIS CLOSET. LOL!

This has helped me very much with my chronic cough at nights. As I live in an apt., which is pretty closed during this bad winter, it is very, very quiet and is on the whole day. So far I do not have anything negative to say about it. I have even recommended it to my friends and family.

Amazing product!
We live in a high rise apartment in NYC and the dust was killing us. I am very meticulous so I noticed all the dust collecting on our furniture. We received the airefree, read the instructions (so simple! Love it!) and plugged it in. A few hours later ALL THE ANNOYING DUST WAS GONE! Just like magic!!! Love this product!! I bought one for my daughters room because she suffers from dust allergies. Again, all the dust disappeared like magic!!! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

I read that it smells like burning plastic on review and that is true but give it a day or two and smell goes completely away. The company should tell people that odors will occur for first 48 hours.
Now it is silent and makes no smell, we do not even know it is there. If you do not like blue light, you can shut it off.

This purifier works as described. It has truly worked to clear the air of allergans. Breathing is easier.
Noticeable Difference but with Cons
I run it 24/7 and there is a noticeable difference in the air quality of my bedroom. Unfortunately, there is also a noticeable difference in my electric bill. The unit also generates quite a bit of heat and the blue light is always on.

Love this air purifier. Just had to plug it in to get it to work, and it seems to be making a big difference. I feel much less congested and it has helped make the house feel fresher during the winter when I cant open windows for fresh air. I bought one and have been moving it around the house. Will likely buy another for my office.

Awesome air cleaner
I bought this for my daughters room - her allergy to cats flares up when she comes home from college. With this unit in her room, what a difference - no puffy eyes. Was skeptical if it would work but had to have since the cat is still here. Bought 3 more for gifts/other rooms!
Awesome and very quiet

Well it turns on
I dont have a way to test the air quality so I can only assume it is working as it should. I did buy it specifically for pet dander, from what I understand that can be destroyed by heat and that is one of the methods this product uses to clean the air. The air emitted from the top is reasonably warm but not too hot. There is a blue light which I did not notice if I could turn that off, I just read about the product on line and it shows an adjustment on the bottom of the machine that I did not notice so I will go home and see if it is there.
It is completely quiet since it uses convection to move air.
My 4th one
This is my 4th one. I gave it to my parents to replace one of those old tall ugly things that you have to clean.

Amazing!
I just set up my AirFree filterless silent air purifier...it certainly lives up to its description! This is replacing the Vicks Hepa Nursery purifier in our daughters bedroom. Her Vicks purifier was dangerous for me to clean as I suffer severely from allergies to mold and dust mites, not to mention tedious. The filters were costly to replace every 3 months as well. This little beauty is compact, but will powerfully clean the air in her room silently. There is a dimmer underneath the unit to control the built in LED light which is nice because my daughter already has a nightlight. I love that it doesnt require any internal cleaning! A quick dusting on the outside will do the trick. I placed an order to replace the Vicks purifer in my and my husbands bedroom and also getting another for our living room. Well worth the investment for all the convenience and clean air :)

I am very pleased. I have slept so much better since I purchased this for my bedroom. I also have had the best Spring in years for dramatically less congestion during the worst of pollen season. I just ordered two more for the kids bedrooms after seeing real improvement for myself.
Clean Bedroom Air: No Fuss, No Muss
This air purifier is used in our bedroom. It runs continuously and is entirely silent in its operation. It has done a very good job of improving the air quality without the ionizing feature, which we really didnt like.
