It took us a little longer to treat older shoes, but this product really works. Several 2 hour sessions had my sons basketball shoes smelling like new. I wish I had had this product when my older children were playing sports.

Shoe Deodorizer
I bought the shoe deorizer as a Christmas gift for a dear friend, and therefore, I am unable to evaluate the product. I can say, however, that I am really pleased about the early delivery and the delivery mans insistence on my knowing the package was being placed on my back porch!

My sons shoes always smelled up the house. This thing really works. He really needed something for his work boots and tennis shoes and nothing had helped until now. In our case, well worth the price.

So Far So Good
I purchased this product with the hope of killing fungus in my sons lacrosse gloves. Other methods for cleaning the gloves (washing machine, detergents) either dry out the leather or shrink the gloves. I have used the tool multiple times and it has worked so far. The hope is that my son no longer gets athletes foot on his hands from the gloves. We have not had the device long enough to confirm that we achieved this objective, but the gloves do smell much better than they did, so this is a very good sign.

Kill that fungus!
Im using this to kill the fungus that has given me fungi nail. Determining whether it works will be a long term process.
Amazing product
This is amazing. Ive tried everything, all brands of sprays but they barely work. I had to buy new work boots every month it was so bad. Once i opened the package i put my boots on for just 1 hour and they smelled brand new. I use it every night when i get home and its one of the best purchases i have made! It really helps with peace of mind not having to worry about any odor.

Wonderful Product
The Shoe Sanitizer does just that. Shoes dont have an oder anymore & I found it to be quiet. Im disabelled but find it easy to use. If you are skeptical dont be, its great! Shoes come out smelling fresh.

I had intended to wait until I used the unit more than just 4 times; but, Sharper Image keeps sending e-mails asking for reviews. So far, it seems to work okay -- but after only 4 uses, I have no clue about its durability.

This product was so easy to use. I have used other shoe sanitizers. They were more complicated.

Take too long.
Still have some bad smell after overnight.

After reading the comments, I knew my shoes would need long periods of time on the machine. When I do this the shoes are not at all smelly. Just a bit intense to get all the shoes through a 12 hour cycle.
Its a bit noisy so I find a place to put it that it wont bother you.
Wonderful Product !
The Product is very easy to use and works well even on my high heel platforms. It comes with dark bags to cover open toe shoes. Ive used it on sandals and even espadrilles.
I used to throw away perfect shoes just because of the smell. I am very happy with this product.
It is sort of bulky, and since i use it everyday, it is not easy to put away. In future models they should consider including a shut off timer.

This really works - almost the first time! And on a scale of 1 - 10 for stinkiness, I would have ranked my husbands tennis shoes and flip flops a 13. So stinky, you could smell them when you walked into a rm. After a one hour session, there was a definite improvement. After two, both of us were impressed with the results. Sure wished I had found this product sooner. My husband uses it daily. I think the only improvement I would suggest is an automatic turn off after the time limit. However, my husband is so pleased with the results that he sets a timer to remind him. I "nose" I enjoyed gifting it to him!

This is the second one I bought.. Great
My son exercises daily and his shoes get wet and, yes, they smell. This product fixed that problem. No more newspaper stuffed in them as they try to dry outside or in the basement. Made his feet healthier too. Strongly recommend for anyone who has wet footwear and needs the same footwear the next day.

My son wears Sperry shoes without socks, a Florida water sportsman. His shoes smell horrible, I couldnt believe this machine worked miracles on the odor! Excellent product. He loves it.
Do not use it overnight. They include a video to watch for how to use, which gave the notice to not use the machine overnight. It has a low buzz noise while in use, its the fan used to cool the UV lights.

I purchased this product as a gift to give this Christmas. I have not used this product, but it appears from the research I did that it works well and kills bacteria.

This product is easy to use and is effective on deodorizing shoes. I am happy that I decided to take a chance and order it. I do wish it had an automatic shut off as one other reviewer commented. I have to remember to set a timer. The one time I forgot the machine was on all night. Dont know how good that is for the machine or the shoes but everything seemed fine.

Significant Results
Purchased this for my nephew who has a serious problem with foot and shoe odor. Thus far he has only used it on older shoes that were really smelling foul and we were impressed with the drastic reduction in odor. Were hopeful that when he uses on newer shoes that it will prevent them from ever becoming bad smelling.
Damaged in shipping
I was very eager to use this, as my doctor recommended I try a UV shoe sanitizer, and in the meantime Ive been washing my sneakers after every wear. So I was VERY disappointed to see it had been broken in the shipping process. Also, the instructional CD wouldnt work in my computer (does it not like Mac?) but I was able to go online to watch a video (thank you, YouTube.) When I started to "assemble" the thing, I saw that mine was in more small pieces than the one in the demonstration. Uh-oh. And the tiny UV bulb in mine was broken off, with part of it still stuck in the machine, making a replacement bulb impossible. I contacted customer service, and spoke to someone nice who said theyd send me a return shipping label in 24-48 hours. 3 days later, still waiting. And its back to washing sneakers.

A Product That Lives up to its Promise!
Im sure you are like me and have seen hundreds of Infomercials stating all kinds of outrageous claims. The ShUVee is actually one that does in fact work. The claim is it sanitizes your shoes. I put the device to the test with the smelliest shoes...gym shoes. The instructions say they should be sanitized after an hour to two hours, however they could take up to eight. I left them on for two hours and took a sniff. Yes, I stuck my nose in my gym shoe. Still smelled a little funky. I put them back on the ShUVee. After eight hours, they actually smelled better. I decided to leave them on overnight. In the morning I noticed the shoes had no bad odor to them at all. As of this write-up, Ive sanitized all my shoes. Now after wearing them for the day, I only have to put them on the ShUVee for an hour. Now a warning. The device is all plastic so dont expect something heavy duty. With that said, the lightweight design allows you to take it with you when you travel. For me, the best part is not having to

Lifetime issues with Athletes foot...
I have had a lifetime of issues with athletes foot. After 20 years with it, I was thinking about just giving it a name and finally resolve myself to the fact that my athletes foot was here to stay. I named him "Arthur".
Getting rid of athletes foot is an amazingly difficult procedure. "Arthur" would always come back after a while mocking me after spending a ton of money on crèmes and sprays.
I was then told by my doctor to rotate out my shoes more. So I bought over 1000 dollars worth of shoes...I wish I were kidding. So now "Arthur" seems to be happy in his new shoe warehouse, tormenting me by coming back every once in a while...so I started looking at these uv treatments for shoes.
This one is by far one of the better made products on the market. "Arthur" was not pleased...but I Am.
I give this product a 4 for one reason only...if it has a timer feature its not intuitive. I am going to put in the DVD and see if it has a timer feature...but for a simple device like this, a timer feature should exist a
