Motion Activated Battery Operated Light I needed a light for my front porch. There is an overhead light that is on a timer. But I wanted a motion detection light for when the overhead light is off. Light output is great and is still on same batteries from the install, which took less than 5 minutes. A lot of light I love the fact that you dont have to connect it to an outlet! It also is motion activated and light-sensitive. I just wish it didnt use so many batteries that arent long lasting. Let there be Light! We put one up over the door, now no problem with finding where to insert the key. Plenty of light. One end of ramp, aimed downward, now see the lip of the ramp, so no tripping and in reaches out into driveway so can see the path from the car. This is great. I gave the light to my wife and installed it above the door going from our entryway into the garage. My wife loves it! Convenient but not that bright Product is fine, looks nice and easy to set up. On first testing it the light would not go off, but the instructions indicated what to do for that, and now it is fine. A Good Solution to Longstanding Problem Our townhouse compled had a very dark walkway with a one inch lip between sidewalk and driveway. Many people have tripped because of the darkness and higher pavement. With two small screws and 4 C batteries, this light comes on automatically and lights about 5 feet wide to alert walkers to the difference in pavement. Not a fall since install. We also put one by the post boxes after a break-in and have been crime free ever since. Not sure how long batteries will last but its a small price to pay for not having to wire up for lighting. Im a 60 year old grandma and was able to install myself with an electric screwdriver. I live in the Rainy City and so far they have lasted through our most rainy months without fail. Thats perfect during calm days, but when there is a lot of wind, the batteries get depleted rapidly because some tree limb is constantly turning the light on. That said, its usually only after 4-5 months that they need replacing. Keep these out of the rain (under eaves) so they dont corrode.
