This is one of the best purcchases I have ever made. It keeps you cool in the hottest weather, such as on a soccer field in the middle of summer in Eastern Washington. Every time I show it to someone, they want to keep it on. I only wish it kept you cooler for a longer time, although the refill bottle that comes with it fits well in your purse or pocket. It is the best! I wouldn't ever be without it.

I have followed the instructions to the letter and gotten no results. This item has no power and does not cool, even with ice cold water. It's going back!!

I have had one of these cooling devices for several years now and use it while hiking and motorcycling. It really works in the Atlanta heat, which has exceeded 100 degrees most summers in addition to the high humidity. We are considering purchasing one for my wife and in-laws.

My son and i go Scout camping every year in Texas in July! Are we crazy?!? Anyway, we've been using these neck coolers on our trips for the past 5 years. They work. They're not like, flipping on the A/C and blowing your hair back, but they do cool your neck and body. The reviewer that said, they put it on for a couple minutes and gave up, that's too bad, perhaps yours was defective, but the two we have [silver & blue] work, and give us a cool spot in the heat. Without the fan on the two inner sides are still cooler than normal without anything blowing on them.

Evaporation happens when the air is allowed to interact with the water on the sponges. don't use a full tank of water. It Works!

It's not earth shaking coldness, like sticking your head in the freezer, but my device works ok. I get a definite cold surface near the ends of the two arms of the device when the fan is on. These cold surfaces cover the jugular veins and carotid arteries in the neck, cooling your blood a few degrees and making you feel generally cooler. The fan doesn't seem very loud to me, just a quiet hum behind my neck. Make sure you get rid of the excess water after filling; some of the other reviews sound like they were trying to fill the device. The fan blows hot air over wet internal sponges, which cools the metal arms via evaporative effect. If you have too much water inside the device, the water can't evaporate properly; the sponges merely need to be moist. Fill the device and shake out all the water, leaving the damp sponges inside, and I think your results will be good.

This is the biggest scam! It doesn't cool..the fan is loud and it's bulky and heavy. I opened it and only had to try it on for a few minutes to experience this disappointment.

this item does not cool your neck as advertised. In all fairness I may have gotten a defective one. Directions say fill each side then shake till water stops coming out air intakes. When you try to fill the sides water starts running out between the plastic and the metal.
