I still have some aging trimmer from the old SI. The blades are almost gone but work better that thge new one I remain puzzled, however, as conceivably it could be working but there is absolutely zero noice to indicate trimming of the hair.

The nose and ear trimmer is a extremely poorly made product. The motor is underpowered and consequently and consequently NO trimming occurs.

Although the trimmer is quiet, it doesn't cut ear or nose hair. I had to put on the optional exposed blade in order to get any cutting at all.

The overall performance was good but I missed the light facing the cutter like the previous model. A lighted area makes the cutter much easier to use and prevents errors.

after receiving the Deluxe Nose and Ear trimmer, we were totally disappointed with the product. We had 7years ago purchased one from Sahrper Image and it was wonderful. This one does nothing, and the light is at the other end of the blade, so you cannot see what you are doing without stopping and turning the trimmer upside down.

The product does not seem to be cutting, but it does cut nose hairs, and the vacuum feature is alos nice. Although it does trin the nose hairs, another product I have been using gets the hairs the Sharper Image misses or is not capable of trimming..

The predecessor tool took a battery acid hit and crapped out, and as Sharper Image was in receivership, no settlement could be obtained. So I took a gamble that ordering another item of like-kind would not end the same way. This new & improved tool works like a champ, except that the thickness of the nose piece prevents it from getting as close as it should. So I still have to use clippers to look really neat. When I hooked up the edge trimmer, and used that instead, inside the nose, it worked better than the nose piece. Instructions don't tell you about this trick, but it does work and does a better job around the carilege, but for reasons of safety, don't stick the trimmer attachment all the way into your nose.
